We have had this dog for about a month. She is a 2-3 year old JRT or JRT-mix rescue. We have noticed the last 2 weeks she favors her back right leg/foot. We have cleaned out her paws and we stretch and bend and touch her leg and paw and she doesn’t seem to have a reaction to it. She runs and plays inside and doesn’t favor her foot, it is just outside on walks. Has anyone seen this before? We have a vet appointment this week.

Not a fan of the bath but he smelt so good after! 🥰

Couldn’t choose a favorite…

He's OK now, but...My JRT got into some wet cat food and developed pancreatitis. He was in so much pain. The vet hospitalized him, gave him IV fluids, pain meds, and anti-nausea meds. He was in hospital for two days. He is recovering now. These dogs are so smart and persistent, which comes with dangers.

A friend of mine is moving and has to find a new home for his “jack “ ! I am thinking of adopting him ! But what do you say ? Is he a jack russell terrieri ?

Ruby was claimed to be 50% JRT (from a "pure bred" mama) and 50% toy australian shepherd. When we got our second, a rescue, when Ruby was four, we did DNA on both. It turns out she is Parsonsl Terrier and definitely shepherd, with a smidge of some rare italian breed. Makes perfect sense; it is either zoomies or herding the family, all day.

Do I give even one shit about the breed discrepancy? Absolutely not! Look at this angel. I work from home and she spent the day by my side sleeping in my lap. My soulmate and best friend. I wish I could clone her! She's one of a kind in all measures. Rubes will be 8 in December.

My Sadie Mae lived to be 17y5m passing away 9/11/18. Her sister joined her on 10/1/26 at 17y7m. No I don’t know the key to keeping them alive for so long. I miss them both tremendously.
