Mindy is a 15 week old English Lab we just got last week. She was born with PDA (post ductal arteriosus) and already underwent the corrective surgery to repair her heart. We think she's pretty awesome as is.

When Toby was younger, it was hard to not wake him, walking past.

Now he completely zonks out. This is 745a after going out to do his business and eating a can of dog food.

Placed some bacon near his snout to see if that would bring him back. Took (5) minutes for Toby to come to and eat his treat. Lol

Every vet I’ve talked to talks badly about Nutrish- and recommended changing. Nova eats it fine but I want to ensure a good nutrition profile and less unnecessary additives. Looking into other brands I’ve heard mixed things on Hills Science, Purina, Royal Canin, etc. Would love to hear what you’re feeding your best friend and any recommendations

seeking advice 3rd Update on Cash & His Mast Cell Tumor

Post image

Hi again everyone, I just want to say thank you so much for all of your advice this past week. I couldn’t have helped him without everyone’s help and encouraging words. You’ve truly made me (and Cash) feel quite a bit better.

Little update: have kept him on the bland diet for a couple days now as his nausea shot is wearing off. Don’t think the Ceretin is helping much anymore, as he had some watered down chocolate ice cream poos all over my carpet and his bed last night. He also threw up once too.

Gave him one of the Gabapentin pills before the puke last night so I don’t think it fully digested. He has inhaled some water today (which is great), but absolutely zero appetite.

I do need to give him his other meds and get some food in his system so any recommendations?

Btw I seriously again, just want to say thank you. I have cried many tears this week over this guy and just want him to be better.

Sincerely a sleepy sibling? of Cash

Hey all, just saw a pink spot on edge of my 10 months eye socket. Thought it might just be pigment but I don’t think so, maybe small abrasion? I’ve included a picture, you probably have to enlarge it some(I know if we have to enlarge it , can’t be that bad) and you’re probably right. But just found it this morning and it’s bothering me, a lot more than it’s bothering him lol

seeking advice Sorry if this isn’t possible/doesn’t make sense (see below)

So Murphy (service dog) usually sleeps on his platform. His trainer trained him too and he also is loosely tied up because he’s a puppy and has only been with us for a month. Lately he has been choosing to sleep on the carpet instead. He has been doing this for the past few nights. I’m wondering if it’s because he’s cold? Is that a thing with English labs (when the room is 68 degrees Fahrenheit)? He spent his first year in Arizona with a much different climate hence why I question this in the first place. Also would it be possible to do anything to warm up his platform? He is 13 months so he will still chew and swallow anything with a seam. Especially while I’m asleep and can’t yell at him. So is warming up the platform even possible? If this makes any logical sense does anyone have any suggestions?
Edit: he can’t sleep in a playpen or crate because he’s a seizure response dog and has to sleep at least next to my bed and he is crate trained.
