Hey everyone,
We heard your numerous requests for a space where Lebanese people can connect beyond politics and news, and we are happy to introduce r/lebanonLounge, a new sister sub connected to r/lebanon, run by the same mod team as this one with some new faces joining in.
The idea is simple: a lighter space for the Lebanese community to meet people, make friends, post dating introductions, plan meetups, ask for relationship advice, talk about music, movies, anime, gaming, hobbies, gossip, and just unwind without politics or news taking over every conversation.
A quick overview of our rules:
If you are looking for friends, community, conversation, or just a more relaxed Lebanese corner of Reddit, come join us at r/lebanonLounge.
See you there ☕🇱🇧

If you are an OLX user be careful if someone agrees to buy what you're selling under the name of Richard Daniel. He asks you to contact a shipping company called A&O logistics. He says he is from Fresno but now in Jordan for a project. It's a scam don't fall for it and report the account.

• Total paid amount to Shein: $198 (with coupons).
• Total customs and clearance fees (combined because my order got split into two packages, each processed separately. Receipts sent by email prior to delivery): LBP6.55m = ~$74, paid in cash to Net Global delivery guy.
• Total weight: 7.68kg
• Total duration from placement to delivery: 10 days (8 biz days).
To help you compare fees with those who offer shipping, ordering services:
• Customs fees as a share of what I paid: 37.4%
• Customs fees per kg: $9.64 / 1kg

Hello everyone,
Any idea how long does it take to verify an organization in Lebanon?
r/lebanon • u/Haunting_Knee_2905 • 17h ago
so, for context, im a lebanese born and raised abroad, but have always dreamt of moving to lebanon or spending more time there during the year. im studying a mental health masters and volunteer in mental health charities, and im planning to pursue a career in mental health.
i want to know if theres any mental health volunteering opportunities in lebanon from abroad. this is quite niche but i just wanted to test if its out there since i dont have too many connections to know. (also bearing in mind im like 80% fluent, but havent spoken too much arabic in terms of mental health lol). thanks!

Hey guys, I'm currently trying to build a daily lebanese themed trivia website, bas apparently I'm a fake lebanese cuz I've only come up with around 25 questions so far. With the system I got in mind I'll need around 250-300 questions ready before I launch it. I'm avoiding the super basic question like "whats the capital" w hol fa if anyone is interested in dming me ideas and questions that'd be awesome as long as a decent amount of people would know the answer, ofc Lebanon related, and family friendly.
Also questions can be related to diaspora and such in an attempt to make it playable to as much lebanese ppl as possible, even those who dont know Arabic.
Any category acceptable like general, history, memes, music, etc
Thanks!!!

The rebranding for Roadster’s is ASS.
I work in branding for a decade now and this branding looks like some gen Z chase and like any random pop up tiktok ads tiny diner. It is soooo weak. The rebrand before the urban one was also mega ass. They should’ve built on their initial diner look! That was their winner one. It had personality and it was unique compared to everything around you and it was ALIVE 😅 what are we trying to chase??? Flat illustrations and stickers?? You could’ve invested that money and uplifted your Diner look you had.
So ASS 4/10 … 3/10 now that i just saw what they used to be.

Genuinely asking, arrived few days ago from Canada, and I've noticed in Beirut so many guys wearing the same shoes. Like what's thy hype with GG shoes? I just can't understand how someone pays 600-700$ for a pair of dirty shoes.

For those who say “who said isr@3l wants to take or capture lebanon” “its all hzbz fault” “we need peace with them for long term” full of shit. Pure disgust. And ofc this sub is full of people not from lebanon claiming theyre lebanese (xioooo) will defend like its their right to have an opinion on an idea they know nothing about except lies.

Hello, i am a lebanese living abroad particularly fond of military history and archive footage. As a result, i tried many times to investigate the complex history of our armed forces through the evolution of its units, uniforms, equipments etc...
Its not an easy task at all because almost all the documents whether it be writings or photographs about the army pre-1975 are scatterred across the web and often not directly shared by the official lebanese institutions.
However i recently made a mindblowing discovery when i came up across an article extract from the lebanese army periodical stating that the now diceased cineast Georges Nasser produced for the Orientation Office many movies aiming to display the army role and capacities throughout the 60s and early 70s. (Link in comment)
I wrote an email to the Orientation Office a week ago asking if those movies were still preserved and if they habe been digitized (which i'm already sure of because some bits of them have been occasionnaly shown in social media posts) and if most importantly i could eventually access a copy strictly for personal use. But to be honest i don't really have high hopes and I doubt i will even get an answer.
I'm still on a quest to acquire a copy of those movies. I want to know if I'm delusional or not. Have anyone on this sub ever heard about them or even watched them ? Which institutions except the army would be the most suited for a deeper investigation in Lebanon ? The subject is so niche I at least want to know if I'm not the only one to care about that.
Thank you !

Title pretty much sums it up.
Personally, I've met a few people from this community over the years and I'm genuinely glad that some of them have become friends I can appreciate outside of Reddit. I've also lost touch with a few along the way but I guess that's just part of life.
Have any of you ever became friends with someone from r/lebanon ? Did you meet in person? Feel free to share
