The floor is sticky I fell out of bed for the first time since I was in diapers
Thankfully didn’t hit my head on anything but wow that’s a way to wake up at 5 in the morning

That backyard has been like this for 6 years 😭 I’ve spent 12 hours on this, had a live earwig fall down my shirt, and just hoped he’d have a bit more of a reaction.
Edit: yeah yeah it’s a dirt patch now. Almost all the green you see in the photo is one singular vine (virginia creeper) that choked out anything else that could grow. Next year, when it’s not autumn, it will be a native plant garden. But first it has to be a dirt patch. (The ferns were collateral damage but they will be back next year)
edit 2 : youre all very kind ty

I was filling up the truck today and realized that I was losing about an hour of pay, every day, putting gas in the vehicle to drive back and forth to work. The sad thing is that we are not even that high on gas prices. We are right at the national average. Saying screw it, retiring, drawing my pension, and just getting a local job in the $20/hr range would probably be more financially advantageous for me. I may even be able to find a job that I actually enjoy. The only thing keeping me working for the company is the no cost insurance until my wife qualifies for Medicare. I have to find out how much retiree insurance costs. After 30 years in this industry, I am done.
Edit to add 160 mile round trip, truck gets about 20 mpg, company idled the mine that I worked at that was about a 10 mile round trip and transferred me to this facility. I have a mortgage, so no just moving to the Northshore area.

The color of my toothpaste is purple and apparently he had his old toothpaste on his brush before he used mine.
EDIT: It's not shit. His old toothpaste was brown.
Still mildly infuriating...

I'm w/family in hospital temporary hold psych hallway & this is mirror in bathroom. It makes everything look warped & I thought, "This is terrible mirror to have on the mental crisis section of the hospital."

He never cleans anyway and just got an injury that doesn’t prevent him from doing any of these
Edit: Dylan is 33, a male, and did write this himself in the 3rd person. He recently got a fibula fracture but was given a boot and I watch him get around the house just fine.

I asked the workers up front and they said it was a corporate decision. Yet, they have a play area for children!
Update: I emailed corporate business integrity and asked if this is an official McDonald’s corporate policy, and if McDonald’s actually supports or requires disabling baby changing stations in customer restrooms.
2nd Update: Here is the response from corporate:
Thank you for taking the time to contact McDonald’s. We always appreciate hearing from our customers and welcome this opportunity to share that most of our restaurants are locally owned and operated.
As independent business owners, franchisees make the ultimate operating costs taking our recommendations into consideration.
Prices and some policies may also vary from one McDonald’s to another depending upon Restaurant Leaders decisions.
Again, thank you for contacting McDonald’s

Someone literally dumped ice coolers in my backyard while we were away for 2 days. The ice company said they are retired units so now I have to pay someone to evacuate the freon and haul them off to be recycled or trashed. These things weigh 500 lb each and I have no way to lift them.
NOTE: There were no ICE agent bodies, drugs, or any other bodies or items inside.
EDIT: Now the ICE company decided they were theirs (maybe they saw all the posts about scrap value and want to cash in on them).
EDIT2: Ice company called back to confirm my address. They were literally given my address for drop off and told that no one would be home, stick them in the backyard.

There's a construction site opposite my apartment and the workers kept walking up the grass patch instead of using the stairs. Property value doesn't affect me as I rented the apartment 2 years back, so rent for me isn't increasing nor decreasing.

Mum tried to do a nice thing by putting these cans of (my favourite) drinks in my mini fridge.
If you flip the switch one way, it works as a fridge. If you flip it the other, it warms things up. Guess which way she flipped the switch?
Edit: I wanna say that I fully recognise she was only doing a nice thing, as I said at the start. The mildly infuriating part is the fact that there is a hot switch at all, and I have 2 less cans of my favourite drink (first world problems, I know). Obviously I'll be cleaning it up. Mmmmm, warm Dr Pepper
Edit part 2: Wow. Learnt a lot about peltier coolers today. Apparently they use as much power as a normal fridge. The more you know. (I only usually have it turned on when I have cans to put in there, aka it's not constantly running)
I'd love to have a normal sized mini fridge, but I don't currently have the space in my room.
The can on the right is cream soda dr pepper
It took around 24 hours for the can to heat up and explode (implode?). My mum and I have had a giggle over her little science experiment

No, I wasn’t paying attention until after I paid. Yes, the dudes working the shop and I had a good laugh about it. Airport price gouging is the worst.
