Discussion Am I alone in thinking this is the best COD multiplayer in YEARS?

Literally loving every aspect (even like the maps!), new modes are fun as hell, gameplay is back to perfection (my fav game feel is MW2019).

Can’t see why it’s getting so much hate

I’m sorry to say this, but MW3 really ruined. Sledgehammer did a great job with the multiplayer but my God I don’t know what type of crack they were smoking when they was making a campaign they should’ve just let Iw make the campaign.

There is not a single reason for you to be 2nd prestige already. The game came out like 36 hours ago in the earliest time zone it was available. For you to get through more than 110 levels in that time, you’ve been playing practically nonstop. Stop it. Get some help.
I’ve been enjoying the game. I played for about 2 hours and I thought the multiplayer was okay, barring a couple grievances. And I want everybody to enjoy the game too. But for the love of god, put the controller down for like an hour at least. You need food. And a shower. And sleep. And probably another shower for good measure.

This is more meant to be a joke than anything but I am worried for some of you. That cant be healthy

Discussion Cannot believe it took 7 years to finally play someone in the US Military in this series

Post image
2.7k Upvotes

I’m really happy I got to play as someone in the US Military in the Modern Warfare reboot, even though it was one mission im glad to play Dunn not only as he in the US Military but a Marine(im a Marine so thats a bonus) as the last time was Alex(CIA but he was a Delta Force operator) and would kinda count the shadow operator(PMCs most definitely are ex-military) but still not federal military. Reason being is that I felt this reboot series for being a American studio sidelined the American Military and were more focused on Task Force 141 which unlike the original trilogy just only consisted of four British SAS dudes but in MWIII they literally made no appearance at all aside from one guy being Shepard. But Call of Duty really was about playing in the US Military and was called “American military propaganda” for it but later titles just sidelined them. It could just be me tired of hearing 3 British dudes and 1 Scot talking /j

Discussion Yep, another year of butt sliding, cracked movement, small map brain rot, Gfuel sweats and cranked SBMM to the max

1.1k Upvotes

You would think that after BO7, and the BO1 and BO2 ports that they would have learned.

But nope, another year of the exact same we've been getting, or going farther back in some areas. Like this new matchmaking is NOT better than the BO7 beta, for example.

I guess this is just cod now. Even though people hated BO7, and people absolutely love the ports. Kind of wild

Also, tactical sprint is still HORRIBLE - one of the worst decisions

And the time to kill is wayyyyy too fast

Spawns and in game connection also needs to improve

Bad maps

Bad visibility

No classic matchmaking

No persistent lobbies

No 'classic' BO7 style game mode

BO7 beta was way better than this

Yikes. Here we go again.

Discussion DMZ mode needs a PVE setting

Really what the DMZ mode has taught me is that I really want to be playing Arc Raiders. There's nothing enjoyable to me about losing tens of thousands of dollars due to some random player after knocking out several objectives and looting countless buildings and racking up 80 npc kills.

I am fully aware that there are some higher ups at Activision that do not think that there is a market for PVE DMZ mode.

You are wrong. There is, please god add it. Please. There where millions of active players in the DMZ que, do yall SERIOUSLY think that ALL of them want PVP only?

Discussion MW4 DMZ: Solo is a lot more fun this go around.

Post image
1.1k Upvotes

TLDR; if you’re afraid or intimidated by the idea of playing Solo, don’t be.

Pictured is my best run so far doing the DMZ story mission where you have to extract the patient from the hospital. Incredibly well balanced and very challenging. Not only did I fight off 91 enemies but also a lieutenant as well (which was not easy to do in the slightest) and I believe this was my 7th match of DMZ so no maxed out weapons. In fact I was picking up any weapon or ammo I could find throughout the hospital off bodies I took down.

Not to mention all this while a colossus commander was literally at the hospitals doorstep playing that heavy metal music.

The new DMZ is a blast and i encourage you to hop on even if you don’t got a group. It’s balanced, tense and a lot of fun!

Discussion This was supposed to be our year, this was supposed to be our “slow” COD, can’t y’all just let us have that?

That’s the problem, honestly.

Everyone’s like “I want long ttk so I can jump slide and whatever.”

“MW22 was sooo boring *snooze fest!*”

“Sliding is fine you’re just old”

Bro no. Y’all, MW23 is literally 3 years old. Probably on the older end but still real good. You have BO6, and 7. You got your fast games. You got your slip n slides, man. You got your slide cancels and hops.

Just hold out a year, and wait for this one to pass. Why don’t you take this time to broaden your horizons? Or I suppose spend your time in shipment so that you kill em next year.

But why can’t we have this year? I liked staged reloads, I’m okay with not being able to slide cancel, I like the TTK a little quicker, I like visual recoil, I like the gun shake effects, I like the emphasis on positioning, I like the medium sized maps.

Fuck man lol. MW22 was great, it needed some fine tuning and an adjustment of the perk system and that’s it. That’s all we wanted. But y’all can’t let go of shipment.

Discussion DMZ NEEDS A PvE-ONLY MODE!

Please give players the option to play DMZ without PvP.
Losing your operator, weapons, equipment and collected loot because another squad ambushes you is incredibly frustrating. Having to pay upwards of 60k just to revive your operator, without recovering any lost gear, makes it even worse.

DMZ already has challenging AI, dangerous zones and a great risk-versus-reward system. We don’t need PvP to make the game challenging.

Keep the existing PvPvE mode for players who enjoy it, but introduce a separate PvE-only mode with the same missions, difficulty, loot and extraction mechanics.
Players should have the choice to enjoy DMZ cooperatively without constantly worrying about being hunted by other players.

Give us the option.

Discussion Anyone felt a little disappointed with the amount of guns this year?

Thumbnail gallery

This is also including the different conversions attachments that can recreate the appearance of the guns. The guns, camos and attachments are significantly more limited this year. We don't even get the solid color camos like we had in MW2. Like being able to paint all guns black or tan.

Discussion Disbanding Lobbies back

Post image
525 Upvotes

This is such a joke and I cant be any happier that it seems like this game is going to completely flop. There is literally ZERO excuse to not have persistent lobbies. it completely ruins the social aspect of the game by not having them and completely disregards the part of the community that loves that part of the game. I am so glad I didn't pre order because i KNEW infinity ward would completely mess everything up when it comes to matchmaking. I guess their definition of "Classic Matchmaking" was the matchmaking found in MW2019.

Discussion “Kal” is so cool he feels like a character from the old-MW series

Post image
1.8k Upvotes

Professional, reliable, concise, and always to the point. Any mission with him he’s there to lead and back you up as a trained soldier. I feel the new MW ‘s writing as it progresses, has somewhat fallen into the trap of “Avenger-ize” its characters, a bit too much unneeded banters, quips and dramatic emotions that tries to force “personalities” onto spec ops operators. Kal is a breeze in this regard.

Remember the dialog that started the old MW trilogy? “- Rules of engagement, sir?” “- Crew expendable.” It was the age of edgy tacticool, you either speak a film-worthy line that would be quoted forever, or you shut it. And I kind miss that age.

Discussion Best campaign since original trilogy

Post image
920 Upvotes

What a fantastic surprise! So far, the campaign has exceeded all my expectations. It plays like a perfect blend of the modern entries and the original trilogy. The pacing is incredibly good. Varied, featuring great set pieces and sharp, concise dialogue. There are some well-executed surprises here and there, and everything feels carefully thought out and crafted with real care. This game definitely makes up for the haphazardly cobbled-together campaign of Modern Warfare 3, not to mention the absolute disaster that was the last Black Ops. I’m super excited for the multiplayer, and especially for DMZ.
