Discussion Time to kill is insane

I love being competitive and the modern warfare series Unfathomably this is the worse ttk from all previous call of duties, I’m seeing more hit markers than “3 hits”, this is not a skill issue at all and I hope a patch is due soon for it

Discussion Best campaign in a long time. I honestly would put this up next to CoD4 and the original MW2.

• Upvotes

This year's CoD really gave nice throwback feelings. It felt a lot like CoD4 where you had to rely on your team to help push forward in tough spots. Also I really love how this game felt like an actual war and not just one super solder type guy against everyone. I actually liked the characters a lot. Their relationships with each other felt very real, like one you'd have with your own friends, and not just trying to look like cool soldiers all the time. They did a good job being comic relief at times without trying too hard. Also it was hard to predict who was going to make it through or not.

I will go ahead and say it, I was never a fan of Treyarch's games. Their campaigns starting from BO1 were always silly. They had something that tried way too hard to be cool and edgy and at some point it got super fantastical and strayed far away from the grounded in reality feeling we used to have. They also put such a heavy focus in Zombies which detracted from the theme of CoD to begin with. Zombies got crazy over the top even with BO1 that I cringed way too much playing them. They were fun, but they should've never been a part of Call of Duty.

Feedback You know IW can’t make a balanced game when the CUAV is 7 kills. Not only that, it’s weak, stationary, always appears middle of map and has bright lights. Highest cost CUAV in the history of COD

Video Same gun, 4 headshots vs. 4 body shots. Guess who died?

Can someone explain how this makes any sense?

We're using the exact same gun. I land 4 shots to his head, he lands 4 shots to my body, and somehow I'm the one who dies.

What's even the point of aiming for the head at this point? 💀

Seriously, what am I missing here?

EDIT: My bad, I just realized we weren't actually using the same gun. I messed up. Sorry for the confusion, everyone!

Discussion Multiplayer

This is all my personal opinion. I’m not trying to shit on anyone enjoying it, I’m all for personal choice.

for me, this game just isn’t it. I feel like I’m losing gunfights I should be winning, especially after I get the first couple shots on target. Feels bad that they immediately turn around and beam me in an instant. The bunny hopping I wouldn’t mind if there was som sort of aim penalty but it’s really frustrating when they have perfect aim jumping around and they kill me at mid distance. i see the damage and it’s like 4 hits for me I get 97% and they get 3 hit kill and they somehow land all head/neck shots consistently.

granted i can only compare this Black Ops 6, so I’m probably just not an IW CoD fan, but this one just feels rough for me to play.

Discussion Anyone else prefer Weekend 1's beta over the full release

I've seen a lot of people saying they're enjoying the full release of MW4, which is great, but personally, I actually preferred how the game felt during Weekend 1 of the beta.

The faster TTK and faster movement made the game feel more aggressive, fluid and rewarding. Gunfights felt snappier, movement felt more responsive, and I enjoyed the overall pace of the game a lot more.

I understand why some people prefer a slower TTK, as it gives you more time to react But for me, the faster TTK combined with the quicker movement gave the game a different feel that I really enjoyed.

I know not everyone will agree, and I'm not saying the full release is bad. I just feel like Weekend 1 had something special. MW19 special.

It would be great if the developers could add a separate playlist that plays as similarly as possible to the Weekend 1 beta, with the faster TTK and movement. That way, players who preferred that faster-paced experience could still enjoy it without changing the core game for everyone else. Yes it splits up the community. I know. Hell cod has been splitting it up themselves for years anyways.

I'm curious how everyone else feels. Did you prefer Weekend 1's faster TTK and movement, or do you think the full release is better as it is now?

Discussion How is this level of desync acceptable to the player base?

I get sub 20ms to almost very server in my region (EU), I get 3ms to London, I am very regularly shooting ghost bullets into the ether. Genuinely this killed BO7 for me and the people that are even left playing CoD that I know. Because the game has this weird lag compensation mechanic.

How can it somehow be worse this year?

Activision CoD is a premium game, why are we not getting premium servers??

It’s not a case of when the hype dies down the servers will get better, they’ll be like this all year if the player base doesn’t do something about it, how anyone would want to play comp like this is beyond me

Discussion Not even a peep of news or recognition about the absolute dire state of the hit reg

I figured with the weekend there was of course not gonna be anything said about it since the teams almost certainly had work off.

However with Monday rolling around there still has been no acknowledgement about the abysmal state of mp gunplay at the moment. Not even just with personal experience, but multiple images and videos have been posted online where the numbers for bullets fired, hit markers heard, and actual hits are all completely different values. Throw in the frankly absurd amount of body multipliers and you have some of the most inconsistent cod gameplay yet.

I've seen people say "this happens every year" but never in my years of playing this series has it been this bad

Question Does anyone feel like sbmm isn't the issue and it's the core game mechanics/maps?

Honestly been going through a massive learning curve and struggle to go positive. This is just a hypothesis bc like I said I can't fucking do well so sbmm isn't putting me in higher lobbies.

I'm feeling though like many people are chalking it up to sbmm but the core issue is how the majority of game mechanics coexist with each other.

Discussion TTK, Footstep audio

It all started with MW3, genuinely one of the worst changes ever made, MW4 should have the TTK kin to MW2, no reason we should lay in 5-6 bullets per kill, it just makes explosive plays even harder to achieve just by the fact that you're constantly reloading in this game. I have maybe over 5000h across all of the modern titles, MW2019 being the most played, movement wasn't across the world and back, TTK was very balanced, ODEN actually killed quickly, now it takes 2x the bullets to kill someone. HAN deserves to be scrapped, trashed, and reworked, 4-6 bullets per kill and thats if youre lucky with the range. NOT TO mention the footstep audio, I don't think MW2023 was even THIS SILENT, Ninja perk is a crutch, and makes EVERY OTHER PERK obsolete. Cannot hear a single footstep with or without ninja, and its driving me insane, from when we all run out of spawn, to running myself, I CANT EVEN HEAR MY OWN FOOTSTEPS WITHOUT NINJA, loudest thing in the game and saying loud is a reach, is the slide, thats about it. TTK and Audio needs to be addressed soon, buff each weapon, amplify running audio by tons, lessen the crutch factor of the ninja perk by adding a limit till it turns off, if this is truly the last MW, It's one of the worst gameplay launches I've seen.

Discussion Anyone felt a little disappointed with the amount of guns this year?

Thumbnail gallery

This is also including the different conversions attachments that can recreate the appearance of the guns. The guns, camos and attachments are significantly more limited this year. We don't even get the solid color camos like we had in MW2. Like being able to paint all guns black or tan.

Discussion Ground War Is Terrible In This Game

Not liking the new Ground War. The tanks are so absurdly powerful that it's just feels like playing World of Tanks with infantry thrown in.

Enemies are completely invisible in foliage and the environment unless you're like five feet away from them, so it's just snipers everywhere picking people off while tanks run amok picking off the stragglers. Deeply unpleasant experience.

Feedback Hit Reg and Kill Trading

I see most of the criticism of this game boils down to bad hitreg and I gotta wonder if it ties into how much easier it is to Kill Trade in this one. Since they first added projectile bullets to make kill trading even a possibility I’ve probably kill traded 4-5 times TOTAL since MW19. Since MW4 came out I’ve kill traded more times in two days than I have total in previous installments, straight up 3 times in one match earlier today. I should note I’m a certified no-lifer and have a lot of playtime with these games that I complain about a lot, maybe not MAX prestige but I get Damascus and Dark Matter and shit.

Feedback It seems more than ever that players don't want to play the objectives at all....

It's becoming real sickening, disheartening, and agitating, to play with people who decided to play a game mode of kill confirmed, hardpoint, or domination just to not even do none of the objectives. I can play domination and get 7 captures just for me to lose while my so call teammates have between 0 through 2 captures (which did happen); but ofcourse a good half or majority of the enemy team did decided to play along.

In older CoD games, there would be 1, 2, or at rare times, 3 people at the bottom of the scoreboard barely doing the objective. But in MW4, it seems that the majority of the team doesn't want to do it or even try anymore. Why play an objective game mode that requires you to do something more than just run and shoot if you're not going to follow along in the first place?? Why the defiance over a simple task??

Thanks for reading and I hope you have better matches and teammates than I'am!
