I don't know who the original artist was, but saw this on Facebook and I guess it's worth a share. Imagine kids grew up in this condition and I'm pretty sure complex trauma will ruin their lives forever. Poor things. 😭

Advice Is this good to take without prescription?

My mood is really really bad these days. But ,today I went out and bought gift for my parents for Thadingyut. And I saw this medicine and bought it thinking "why not". I took 2 pills today and my mood really improved. I don't know it is placebo effect or just medicine doing its job.And I am planning to take it every day. But I was wondering is it okay to take it without prescription? And Is there other similar kind of medicine that work well on depression and ADHD? I don't want to go see psychiatrist.

Advice

Discussion 💬 CEIR TAX FOR VISITORS

I’m a foreigner who visited Yangon back in May and purchased an eSIM at the airport. During my 7-day stay, I received multiple texts reminding me to pay the CEIR tax within 30 days, but I left the country without paying.
I’ll be returning next month with the same phone. Does anyone know if I’ll have issues activating a new eSIM or using mobile data because I never paid the tax?
Has anyone been in a similar situation? Do tourists get another 30-day grace period when reentering Myanmar, or is the phone’s IMEI already blocked?

Discussion 💬 I'm building an open-source documentation project, and I'm looking for collaborators.

I've been working on an idea called Docs-Ready, a project aimed at making it easier for developers to set up their own documentation websites.

Getting a documentation site started can take more work than expected. You need to configure the design, set up navigation, organize content, customize the branding, and get everything ready to run and deploy. I want to make that process simpler.

The idea behind Docs-Ready is to provide a prebuilt documentation website that people can customize through a guided setup experience. They can choose a theme, adjust colors and typography, add their own branding, and configure the layout before downloading a ready-to-run project.

The important part is that the generated website belongs to the user. They can modify the code, manage their pages through Markdown and GitHub, and deploy it wherever they want. The goal is to reduce the setup work without locking people into a hosted service or taking control away from them.

I'm building this as a free, open-source project, and I'd like to find people who are interested in helping shape it into something useful for the developer community.

I'm hoping to connect with three potential maintainers:

  • Core Development: Someone interested in maintaining the codebase, improving features, fixing bugs, and reviewing contributions.
  • Security: Someone with an interest or background in application security who can help identify vulnerabilities and improve the project's security.
  • UX & Documentation: Someone who enjoys improving user experiences, accessibility, onboarding, and technical documentation.

You don't need to commit to everything immediately. I'd rather find people who genuinely care about the idea and are interested in building something together.

If this sounds interesting, send me a DM and tell me a little about yourself, your experience, and which area you'd like to help with. If you have a GitHub profile, portfolio, personal website, or examples of previous work, feel free to share those too.

I'm not sharing the repository publicly just yet. For now, I'd like to connect with interested people, exchange ideas, and see who might be a good fit for the project.

Thanks.

Discussion 💬 What the hell is a “Talent” in the job market?

• Upvotes

Lately, I’ve been seeing an increasing number of job listings in Myanmar for positions titled "Talent."

These aren't media companies or talent agencies—these are standard retail, consumer goods, and commercial businesses. But when you look at the actual job responsibilities, it boils down to one primary task: doing trending dances on Live streams or short videos on Tt to push sales.

I find this both frustrating and confusing.

First, misusing the term "Talent" for basic algorithmic trend-chasing seems completely disconnected from real skill or strategic marketing. But more importantly, from a business perspective, this is a terrible long-term marketing strategy.

Here is why this approach will backfire and lead to negative sales over time:

1. If you are known for dancing, you are NOT known for your brand.

Views do not equal brand equity. When a user watches a 10-second viral dance, they remember the song or the person—they do not remember the product quality, the brand name, or why they should buy it. The dancer gets the attention, while the product remains completely invisible.

2. It destroys pricing power and positioning.

If a business relies entirely on low-effort entertainment tricks to sell, it signals to the market that the product cannot stand on its own merit. Customers view the brand as a cheap novelty rather than a reliable, high-value provider.

3. High views, low conversion (The Vanity Metric Trap).

People scrolling on social media for cheap entertainment have zero purchase intent. Gathering thousands of empty views from scrollers who never intend to buy creates a false sense of performance. Meanwhile, actual paying customers who care about product details and value are turned off by the noise.

4. Zero customer retention.

When the current video trend dies or the "Talent" leaves the company, what remains of the brand? Nothing. There is no customer loyalty, no unique selling proposition, and no foundation for repeat purchases.

Trading product credibility for temporary algorithmic hype isn't building a business—it's just broadcasting noise.

Are local businesses just blindly copying this trend without understanding conversion economics, or do people actually believe that dancing around on camera leads to sustainable growth?
