Folded from a 17cm square of Cookie Sheet.
Diagrams from Tanteidan Convention 11.
This is my recent rendition of Robert J Lang's "Black Forest Cuckoo Clock", folded from a 32x320cm rectangle of Black/Natural Kraft paper (from my IKEA stash).
The details here are AMAZING. This is a Timber plank boxed wall clock, topped with a Deer's Head, a pop open Cuckoo compartment, clean clockface with hour and minute hands, pinecone shaped counterweights and a pendulum with a leaf-shaped weight. Surrounding the box is a wreath of leaves.
All this from a single UNCUT sheet of paper - genius design indeed.

I made a 9 headed hydra from a 15x15cm uncut square. Felt like doing something absurd and tedious. Low level but it turned out quite cute.

Chill fold. Looks good with tissue foil. Love the base used here, also works well for the sailfish design in the same book.

You can just fold the corners in, no need to cut the 16-gon out from a square

Hi, I have recently gotten back into origami and all of the paper is from my childhood and it’s pretty good quality I believe (because it’s old😂). I’m having a hard time finding good paper. I bought some off amazon that feels weird and it’s double sided which is fine for some things but I don’t like the texture. It almost feels like construction paper. I’m used to more of a smooth paper. I did buy some off amazon that’s small paper for folding cranes that I like off amazon but it’s only in the tiny size. Anyway if anyone has any good places to purchase some quality origami paper. I’m not looking for like super premium because my 8 year old also is doing it with me some and really just enjoys “folding her own thing” lol but something maybe good quality that would be on a higher end budget. I don’t mind paying for quality. I’d like one sided with the white on the back because some things I’m folding need the white. I’m trying to prevent buying tons of terrible paper. Thanks!!!
