With the new Sixers/Flyers arena going up in 2030 and the constant rumblings that the Eagles are getting a new stadium in the near future it seems a good curiosity to bring up. Some facts:
- Citizens Bank Park has been the home of the Phillies since 2004 (22 years)
- The average “lifespan” of an MLB Ballpark seems to be shrinking and it’s now sitting around 30 years.
- The Sixers/Flyers arena will come to an end after 34 years.
- Veterans Stadium lasted 32 years.
- The Phillies have a lease for CBP that runs through 2041
- John Middleton has said that he prefers to constantly and consistently renovate the park rather than replacing it adding that he feels modern ballparks can last decades if not 100 years.
So when do yall think the Phillies will get a new park?
