The rumors are…. real??
(For the chronically offline, there have been recent rumors that Lore cheated on his current partner with Matteo’s now ex-gf)

Casper comes back from a set down to make it to the R16. He will play Borges next.

*Forgot the [WC] for Stricker.

Rune plays Bergs or Hurkacz next

Tien will play de Minaur in round 2

Federer: 10-21 combined Slam record vs. Djokovic and Nadal

Nadal: 2-15 vs. Djokovic off clay from 2011 onwards

Djokovic: 8 Slam final losses to non-big 3 opposition (Fedal 2 combined)

Sinner: Career 2-10 record vs. top 20 players in 5th sets

Alcaraz: Despite reaching #1 in 2022, won 85% of matches only once (Sinner over 90% in all of 2024-2026)

Murray: Worse win rate vs. big 3 at Slams than Tsonga (5-20 vs. 4-13)

Wawrinka: Has the same number of big best of 3 titles as Jack Sock (1 Masters 1000, 0 ATP Finals)

Zverev: 1-14 career record against top 5 players at Slams

Medvedev: Only player ever to blow multiple 2-0 leads in Slam finals

Thiem: Never won more than 73.5% of matches in a season (Med/Zverev have 4 times each)

Cilic: Never finished a year in the top 5, 26.2% career win rate vs. top 10 players (worst of anyone here)

Del Potro: Lost before the QF at the majority (9/16) of his Slam runs in his 2009-13 prime

Was very surprised to wake up today and see this. Yet another unfortunate withdrawal.
Currently there is no player in that spot on the WTA's website under Draws.
Lucky Loser Rakhimova has taken her spot and gets the buy!

Her live ranking has dropped all the way to 19. Several players behind her, specifically Mboko, have also been dropping down due to injury. She still has a decent chance of ending the year top 20, but this is pretty shocking to me! It's a pretty big points hit that's gonna affect her for the entire 2027 season!

I always find it interesting how in these late-season tournaments, 1 player can win in qualifying, then be put into a round 1 match. Another can lose in qualifying, yet get put in a seeded spot and get a buy. Unfair perhaps but, they call it LUCKY loser for a reason & it happens all the time!

De Minaur will play Tien or Van Assche next

Darderi won the Italian derby in R1 to set up a meeting with either Rublev or [7] Paul in R2.

Playing on home soil, 16-year-old Brazilian Nauhany Vitória Leme da Silva gets the biggest win of her career (by ranking) with a three-set victory over #203 Despina Papamichail.

This is also Leme da Silva's first victory at 125 level in her second appearance.

Up next for her is 19-year-old Argentine Luisina Giovannini, currently just inside the top 200.

A straightforward win for Menšík. He will face Buse or Mannarino in the round of 16.

He will face the winner between Cobolli and Dimitrov

Talk about revenge. After loosing to Cerundolo in the qualifiers, he beats him in round 1 as a LL.

Fery will play Musetti or Tiafoe next.
