F43! It’s my birthday today.
I’m thankful for another day and year. I had a difficult week and still awaiting some health test results.

Celebrated my 35th birthday yesterday but just found out that one of my co-workers who recently retired suffered a stroke and is currently in the hospital. It made me realize that life is indeed short and we need to make the best of it. Here's hoping that I take more risks and overcome my fears so that I don't hold myself back.

I work as an English tutor, and in my country the competition is fierce. I tried various platforms and found a few students which was successful, yet it's not enough. I don't struggle to pay my rent and my bills, but if I have to pay for my dog's treatment, it's quite hard to afford it.
I'm not a fan of credit cards, so I just save money and pay with my savings.
The second struggle is being neurodivergent and having PMDD on top of that. I'm coping with all that, but some months are just hell-ish.
I'm currently studying French, my level is around B1-2, so planning to pass an exam and teach it. Also find students abroad. Now there's no stability, unfortunately. Students can come and go, because of too much stress and financial struggles.
Not looking for advice, just some support and things like "you can do it, girl!".

As the title says I'm widowed. I'm unemployed and I'm so lonely. I thought I knew what loneliness was because I enjoyed being alone and I didn't have any friends, but after my husband passed, loneliness is becoming an entirely new subject to me. I didn't know that silence could be so loud. But everyday I wake up, I put in job applications, I make myself something to eat, and I keep moving forward. Because I know he'd be mad at me if I let myself slip.

Hey, everyone. I posted here about a year ago, and the kindness I received genuinely helped me through a difficult time. So I figured I'd come back and give it another shot.
I'm a dad, a granddad, and a guy who's usually pretty good at keeping his sense of humor, even when life decides to kick him in the teeth.
But lately, things have been rough.
I've been dealing with a lot of chronic pain, neurological issues, and other medical problems. It feels like every time I get one thing under control, something else decides to join the party. I'm still working, still taking care of my responsibilities, and still trying to enjoy the things I love, but some days it gets exhausting.
The hardest part isn't always the physical pain. Sometimes it's watching my body struggle with things that used to be easy, and trying not to let that change how I see myself.
I don't want to give the impression that everything in my life is terrible, because it isn't. I've got people I love, hobbies that make me happy, and plenty of reasons to keep smiling. I'm just feeling a little worn down lately, and my confidence has taken a few hits.
I think I just need a reminder that I'm still doing okay, even if I don't always feel like it.
So, Reddit, if you've got a little kindness to spare, I could really use a toast.
Thanks for listening. ❤️

I'm a single mom to a profoundly autistic, almost 9 year old. And we were potty training yesterday. I was so overwhelmed because he is physically agressive while toileting (while pooping specifically)(think, hitting, punching, slapping me etc) but yesterday I wasnt giving up. At one point at his most desperate moment he called out for Sailor Moon and the other sailor guardians to save him lmaooo(one of his special interests and gestalts). AND GUESS WHAT? HE POOPED IN THE TOILET AND HAS BEEN GOING INDEPENDENTLY SINCE. I am so proud of him.
I wish I could post more than one Pic 😭🥹

51, starting life over and need a boost. Going through a divorce after 20 years and I am having a super difficult time with it. Own a business that I love but outside of that I feel empty. Nothing feels joyful anymore. Very much an introvert and have a tough time doing anything alone. She was my best friend but my addiction fucked that up. 5 months sober but it was to late. I've cried more times than I can count. Crying just writing this.

Went to a wedding yesterday and it made me realize how little friends I have, and I feel like my chances of finding love myself are hopeless. Sometimes I wish I was more outgoing.

I went through some family drama and was a bit depressed early this year, but things are getting better for me. Always gotta push through the hard times to make it through the good times.

Sorry if an actual photo is required. I hope this counts as verification. I'm very stressed. I live with an aged father who can't do much for himself and my wife is a stroke survivor. She can take care of herself but the help I can get from her is still limited. I love them both and wouldn't trade either of them for everything but, if anything gets done it's because I do it. I had to install the new water heater, I have to fix things that break. I have to fix the cars. I have to work. It can be stressful. This week however has been terrible in particular. I was working on my truck so I was borrowing my dad's old car last friday. It broke too, so I had to pay for a tow home. So I put my truck back together and started driving it again. Now it's broken too, but it's all I have so I have to drive it broken. Now, because my dad is too disabled with age to keep his front yard clean code enforcement, who is evil, is demanding that we move two other non-running vehicles from our driveway simply because they haven't moved in a while. Our vehicles, our driveway but somehow it's their business. So now I have to clean up the front yard, figure out how to move two non-moving vehicles 7 miles away to a storage unit when my truck is broken and can't shift past 2nd gear. The tow truck company would be easy, but expensive. Uhaul is a little less expensive. After paying that tow bill either one is painful on the wallet right now. Code enforcement has given us until the 4th of November or they start charging us $50 a day. They're evil and I don't know how they sleep at night. If my truck wasn't having problems I'd just get a buddy to help me tow them with a tow strap. Anyway thanks for listening to me vent.
