I am so sorry for what happened today
I'm not going to sugarcoat this, today was a terrible day for us.
Since this subreddit's creation many years before the game even launched, we have removed hundreds of thousands of bigoted comments, and the majority of them were towards Claire.
We want you to know that the moderator Tabnam, who has been the lead moderator of the subreddit for years, has been removed by the decision of our team.
I am so sorry for everything that has happened today. I know very well that words alone do not get the trust back, but please know that we are completely revamping the entire moderation process to be more transparent and community-friendly to avoid anything like this from now on. We are diversifying our team to make it more efficient and, most importantly, to have many voices on an opinion instead of one. If you are interested, we would love to have you on board.
Again, I feel very sympathetic towards your anger, and I am deeply ashamed that this is happening.
I'm so sorry, everyone.

Love I support the Trans community. They’re human beings who don’t deserve the hatred and violence they’re being subjected to.

Screenshot Trans is Beautiful, Trans is Cyberpunk 🏳️⚧️
Old screenshot collage I made back in 2024 for the Trans Day of Visibility. It features Claire, canon trans woman, Jago, canon trans masc, and my V, Valentin, who's always been trans from the day I've made him in CC in 2020. :D
Let's share our trans Vs, I know there's plenty of us in the community 👉

Meta Cyberpunk 2077 is maybe the most political game I’ve ever played. You must accept this.
The reason a Cyberpunk subreddit is heavily political is because the game is heavily political. It’s about wealth inequality, trans humanism, unevenly distributed power, unstoppable corporate dynasties, and self-actualization and augmentation via tech and chemistry, and there are plenty of trans and gay people. Every single one of these is a hot button political topic and the game isn’t afraid of going there.
So what I’m saying is you better accept that your favorite game is political, or find a new one if you can’t.
Edit: to people saying “You can just like totally just enjoy the artwork brah you don’t have to think about what it means or what the writers are saying to you brah I promise man it’s like popcorn you can just consume bro just be a consumer please consume consooooom”
This is a cattle mindset. The rich see you as a good lil piggy

Love As a trans person…thank you
I’ve seen so many online communities and social media posts actively hating the existence of people like myself. In the UK, within the span of a year and a half, we’ve seen politics actively taking away more and more trans rights. I rarely go a day without seeing something negative or seeing comments actively degrading us or saying really fucked up shit I won’t give examples of.
The way this community has pulled together and supported the community I’m apart of is just really heartwarming and genuinely has proven to me that not everyone hates us. It’s restored some hope in humanity.
So just a thank you for that. With all the negativity at the moment, it’s just nice to see. I really needed that.

Discussion How do you fumble your understanding of Cyberpunk as badly as some of the people on this subreddit???
Some people here are "tired" of the trans-centric convos going on here but that tiredness coming from cisgender people means absolutely nothing compared to how exhausted trans people are of having our existence questioned, sanitised, and treated as something to be debated and agreed/disagreed with.
Cyberpunk is and always will be a HEAVILY political game, and the more reliant a community is upon politics to avoid being erased and mistreated for the sake of convenience and bigotry, the more that community will be drawn to politically fuelled franchises.
We are here, nothing will get rid of us, and alongside the disabled community the trans community will ALWAYS be the most Cyberpunk group of people there is, no matter how tired people get of us proclaiming our existence.
Trans rights are human rights. Tired of hearing it? tough shit. We are in every community and we will not stop reminding the world that we are here.

Discussion I'm a mod and disagree with this new rule regarding banning all Claire posts.
I've put in my vote in the mod chat already and am posting this publicly to voice my opinion further.
The truth of the reason behind the rule is that the other mods are just tired of the long ass report queue that follows every Claire-related post. Lots of transphobic comments get reported and the other mods are just too tired to deal with it anymore. Reasonable to a degree, but also you can't just ban talking about a trans person because of transphobes.
Take the same concept but change the context- it's the same as banning talking about gay people because of homophobes, or banning talking about black people because of racists.
It's ridiculous, you can't just do that.
Might get removed as a mod for this post but oh well. It eez wot it eez.
UPDATE: The mods kicked me out of their discord and removed me from the mod team. Press F to Pay Respects.

Art all the trans posting inspired me to draw the one time the game gave me genuine gender dysphoria
This happened on my second play through and before I knew about this event. I had just put together an outfit (different to what I've drawn because it was beans) and went to the mirror to see how it looked but instead of the woman I'd began associating with I saw a muscular man with a beard.
I don't usually have to deal with my dysphoria, I've developed ways to avoid it even without transitioning but this event got me where I was vulnerable. This would be my (and probably others) worst nightmare were it real.

Love A Cyberpunk sub with mods being against trans representation is crazy
I am trans myself, and i loved the entirely of Claire's campaign in the game and how much of a deep and complex character she is, and how enjoyable and nice she is as a person, it makes me very happy when media treats queer representation as something that shouldn't be shoved up with stereotypes and only made as a tiny little side of its content.
If yall actually played the game, watched the animes and comprehends the entirely of the punk culture, how the fuck do you decide that the best way to erradicate transphobia is by completely erasing trans representation and recognizition instead of being loud and annoying about those who shares hatred over this community???
If you really value the community of the game you supposedly understood very well, you are probably aware that you're doing this moderation job for free and there will always have more people on the waiting line that should be happy to moderate this place aswell.
If that somehow ever came into a consensus through the whole mod team, yall should do something else in your free time and let other people that actually understood the Cyberpunk universe and its critiques be moderators, and not you.

Discussion Just wanna say thanks, chooms.
Just wanna give a massive thank you to this community for being chooms and standing up for trans rights. Hopefully we can put this all behind us now, but it means a lot to see how this community came together and didn't put up with the bullshit.

Meta Protect the Dolls, no punk in cyberpunk i guess
Just got my post taken down after the mod came and said they would "fix the situation" and no longer ban claire post.
You side with people who are against changing your body to what you want in a game where you legit can customise your body even going back to the ripperdoc midgame? Are people missing the fact that cyberpunk's core message is leftist and political?
EDIT: Situation is finally simmering down y'all. Seeing the community come together has honestly been really heartwarming. Remember y'all, as Johnny says, "never stop fighting"

Discussion I heard there's been some mods in here that don't like Claire
As a trans woman myself, I think whole situation is disgusting. You should be ashamed to be Cyberpunk fans because being trans is a normal thing in the real world and ESPECIALLY in Cyberpunk universe.
Also a couple fun facts, did you know Jago Szabó (who is also canonically trans) from the Phantom Liberty DLC is voiced by a trans man? The voice actors name is Shaan Dasani.
And did you know TECHNICALLY everyone that has cyberware is trans? Transhumanism is what its called.

Discussion Saying you don't want to "get into mod drama" while suspending the only mod that had the courage to speak up against a bigoted stance in the sub rules is utterly PATHETIC
Head mod trying to damage control (check edit) an utterly BS rule to the sub and ostracizing someone that's fighting against it is cowardice and slimy. This is the kind of shit that causes subreddits to lose all faith in moderation and fold to bot-activity. BULLSHIT you're trying to be cordial by avoiding the drama, it was a BULLSHIT rational to begin with.
Edit: Going to add that the Mod who spoke up's post has apparrently been removed citing Rule 8- Witch-hunt, Accusations, and Calls to action
The Mods post was absolutely not calling for a witch hunt, did not name specific mods, and did not call for action against the moderation team. They specifically noted that they didn't believe that the rule was meant to be added for bigoted reasons, but rather as a method to avoid the burnout from constant BS reports about the character. They were respectful in this post and explained their disagreement with the moderation team appropriately.

Discussion I’m so in love with Claire. Trans rights are human rights
There’s nobody I’d rather talk to in the bar there’s nobody I’d rather race with. Complex, strong, and cares about people she loves in any circumstance I cannot blame her for wanting revenge for her husband I can only blame myself for not choosing the dialogue that allowed me to help her.
Fuck this mod team and everyone on it the only one of you with balls is gone now so what’s the point.
