If Duncan Robinson keep playing this way and The Pistons remain the #1 seed, I think he'll get voted into the all star game this year

News [Patterson] Duncan Robinson’s 3s, passing have been vital centerpieces to Pistons’ 3-0 start

Duncan Robinson has been Detroit’s second-leading scorer behind Cade Cunningham, averaging 19.7 points, 2.3 assists, 2.0 rebounds and 1.0 steals per game. And Robinson couldn’t have asked for a better start from beyond the arc.

With Jalen Duren sidelined for at least the next two weeks with a right hamstring strain, and Ausar Thompson recovering from a right ankle sprain, Robinson sustaining his strong start will be vital to weathering those injuries.

It could also be a determining factor in how successful Detroit can be this season.

Discussion John Collins' versatility unlocking the offence

I had intended to post about this before the season but I believe that John Collins' abillity to credibly space the floor at the 5 will probably be the single most important development for the team for this season as compared to last - particularly come playoffs time.

Obviously, we're a long way from April & beyond but the line-ups where he slides to the 5 gives us legitimate 4 and sometimes 5 out line-ups that the Pistons obviously haven't seen with the Ausar/Duren combo and really looks to add another gear to the Pistons offence. And the fact that he seems to be able to hang well enough as a rebounder/defender in this role is absolutely awesome to see.

Hate to see JD go down so early in the season but if there's a silver lining to this, it's that JB has been forced to have Collins spending more time at Center that he maybe otherwise would, so hopefully these early reps will end up bearing fruit at the back end of the season.

Discussion Comparing Huerter, Collins, Reed to Levert, Harris, Stewart

I think underrated roster moves the Pistons made from last season to this season is replacing three rotation players with players that fit the big three's game better. The players this season are generally younger than last year outside of Reed while providing skills that fit better and cover more weaknesses of the big three. Huerter has more in season potential than Levert and showed he can shoot better in the past. Collins is younger than Harris, more athletic, better rebounder, and can shoot better. Reed is just overall more offensively skilled than Stewart, and the drop off from defense is modest for a backup big. Plus, all three are on better contracts. These are all upgrades, in my opinion. Plus, if Joe continues what he did on OKC, that would be the cherry on top.

Discussion Duren hasn’t played against the Knicks since the 2025 playoffs

Just thought it was funny. He's been banged up every time we've faced the Knicks since last year, and tomorrow's game keeps that streak going. I'm very curious how he matches up against them with this new lineup.

Discussion Anybody just kinda made peace with Cade’s turnover problems?

It’s been 6 years and 3 playoff series, and I think I just gotta accept that’s just part of Cade’s baggage. The spacing issue has kinda been resolved in this early season, but we still see him being kinda careless with the ball. I think teams are figuring him out with the double team which he struggles passing out of sometimes. I don’t know, maybe we do really need another secondary playmaker or scorer. What are your guys opinion?
