Car sounds, is this normal?

• Upvotes

ran over a tire in the middle of the road, didnt have enough time to stop and now here we are. Everything drives fine, no lights on the dash, AC works regularly, etc. The only issue is my whole back bumper is basically dragging on the ground (Was already missing a piece but now it has to be taped up completely) I hear this ticking under the hood, (VIDEO) and a piece of whatever that is in the picture came from underneath my front bumper which is also fucked up now.

Anyone a mechanic or good with cars and know if I should be concerned? This is my only car, I plan on getting all this fixed soon I just need to know if Im good to continue driving highways or is this something I need to do today?

Broken Flex pipe, can I still drive the car?

Hey guys, this is the broken exhaust flexi pipe on my Kia ceed 2007, I’ve been driving with it for about 3 months and nothing has happened, is it ok to continue to drive on it? I am scheduled to get it fixed but that won’t be for another few weeks, there doesn’t seem to be any smell or anything coming from it it’s just loud

Question/Advice I refilled my coolant after having drained it to replace the thermostat. I bled the system but didn't have time to bleed it 100%. Called a mechanic for other things but mentionned this and he said to just drive around a bit and it will sort itself out. Is that accurate?

Question/Advice Water leakage in my car. What can be the issue?

I discovered a leakage on my opel insignia with a panoramic roof. Since I wanted to test the drainage, I opened up the roof and poured a little bit of water in the drainage. It came out and it didn’t looked blocked.

Then I took some trimmer line and put it in the drainage to see if something was blocking the water. At some point it stopped, which might be a blokkade but I couldn’t verify it because I noticed something else.

There was water leaking from the driver side! Exact same spot, but on the other side. I poured water in the drainage on the right side (passenger side) and the drainage on the driver side was dry, yet it was still leaking from the driver side. I took that panel of and same rust, but a bit less.

What does this actually mean? I’m trying to fix the issue if it’s a small so I can still use my car when raining. I contacted the garage with all the evidence on mail and registered mail.

I recently got into an accident in my 2020 VW Tiguan se. It has almost 159,000 miles on it. Does it seem repairable or totaled? This is stressing me out.

Question/Advice I went to check my radiator and took the cap off and coolant gushed out (car /Engine was cold)

The coolant gushed out. It’s a pink / red color coolant. The car was cold, hadn’t been started for over two days. Dipstick for the engine oil was normal, transparent and amber brown color as usual. Is this minor or major?

Question/Advice Dent and paint chip off on the day of delivery. Need advice on compensation??

Thumbnail

Hi everyone,
We took delivery of our brand-new car yesterday, and unfortunately, we noticed a dent and chipped paint. We were honestly shocked and upset because we expected the car to be in perfect condition at delivery. At that moment, we didn’t know how to react. The showroom assured us that they would fix the damage, and they have already sent an email confirming this. We visited the showroom again today to discuss the issue and possible compensation. Apart from getting the damage repaired properly at their expense, we asked them to offer some compensation for the inconvenience and disappointment. The options we are considering are:

Full manufacturer’s extended warranty + cash compensation.
Full-body PPF.
Accessories or some other combination of benefits.

The showroom has offered PPF so far, but we haven’t finalized anything. I understand that the dent and paint chip can be repaired, but it is disappointing to receive a damaged car on day one, especially when you pay for a brand-new vehicle.

Could you guys please suggest which one would be better

Is this a loose shield/an emergency?

Post image

some helpful folks say this is a heat shield, but I know this old girl already lost one a few years ago. ( It is rattling some in city driving, and I’m 259 highway miles from home visiting someone in the hospital til tomorrow. ) 2007 Honda Odyssey. The pavement stain is hospital driveway, not where we were parked.
