People will tell you to stop complaining and “skill issue” their games look exactly like this. If your gameplay looks like this then you should definitely start in a protected bracket but one that still allows room for improvement.
With the way current SBMM works there’s no much thing as improvement because you’re only going to be as good as the people you verse. It’s like only ever teaching a child the alphabet and expecting them to one day start doing multiplication. You’re just dumbing down their experience

One of the few things that bothers me while playing multiplayer is that both teams can have the same operators running around. i.e. Valeria can be played by both teams simultaneously.
The older CoDs you had either exclusive operators or different color uniforms.
That’s is something that’s been personally bothering me. As I’ve gotten killed because I think an enemy operator is actually a teammate since I saw him in the before in my team.

It is disturbingly obvious how an overwhelming amount of people on this sub are like 16-23 years old. You never played couch co-op, or any video game before the internet got big and online gaming took over LAN parties at your friend's house. You all want to act like you're little MLG badasses and have the most toxic hyper competitive and anti-fun attitudes to everything. If you acted like and called for even 10% of the things you say you want out of CoD on this sub, while sitting there at your friend's house on the couch, you wouldn't have friends for very long, but I guess people like you never had friends they didn't want to piss tf off with shitty behavior, and it shows.
This game is fantastic exactly because you assholes aren't having fun doing your bullshit anymore at everyone else's expense. Get a fucking job and play video games like they were meant to be played, as fun games.

I'm a North Korean defector, and I recently bought Call of Duty 4. Playing through it, I noticed they did a surprisingly good job researching and depicting my hometown. One minor historical accuracy detail was off, though: in the game, traitors are executed by being hanged from a tree, but in reality, pushing them off a cliff was usually preferred.

Correct me if I'm wrong but if you're not using ninja, it's essentially a death sentence with a big red marker painted on your forehead.
The footsteps in MW4 are so loud that not running ninja leaves you in a massive disadvantage. And it locks your perk choices because you're forced to run ninja just to survive.
Please tone down the footsteps, they're louder than my actual real life footsteps.

Someone offered a truce as they called for the exfil. I had the ability to take this guy out while waiting, but I accepted the truce. When the helicopter came down, I boarded and waited. What do they do?
The lack of civility is annoying. Nobody can claim this is a valid tactic or else they claim that taking advantage of people to get ahead in the world is okay. I wish there were bigger penalties for this kind of behavior.

Almost 40 years old. I can't keep up like I used to. But I'm still having fun!

This game was at a 94% rating (~2.4K ratings) at some point after the campaign release😬. With the multiplayer portion, it looks like you can’t make everyone happy.

I'm writing this through a translator because my English isn't great :) I want to hear your thoughts on MW4 multiplayer.
Let me start by saying that as a game, MW4 is top-tier for me: the gunplay, graphics, and audio are on a very high level and remind me of prime MW2019. The campaign is also a 9/10. But what is going on with the core game mode — multiplayer?
I’ve never been a Warzone fan and didn't play it much, even in 2019. I love regular multiplayer, grinding weapons, and unlocking camos. I want to hop into the game to relax, put in a bit of effort to get kills, grind prestige, etc. But what do we have right now?
I'll start with SBMM. 95% of matches right now feel like the Call of Duty League or Ranked—call it whatever you want, but it’s pure hell, not casual multiplayer. I’m an average player, maybe slightly above average, playing on mouse and keyboard (MnK). In 95% of my games, I’m in lobbies where people are playing for their lives — everyone is pre-firing and hitting every single bullet (I’ve already accepted the reality of aim assist, okay, hahaha). For example, yesterday I played for about 4-5 hours. During that time, I got 2-3 games in so-called "bot lobbies" with obvious beginners or low-skill players. I dropped 30-40+ kills on them. What happened after that? I think it's obvious :) Even those bot lobbies are terrible because they just aren't interesting. Right now, there are only two extremes: either boring bot lobbies, or lobbies full of sweats who absolutely melt you without giving you a chance. My KD has already dropped to 1.08 (started at 1.3). The point is that it’s incredibly sweaty and unbalanced. There is no golden mean where a lobby has maybe 2-3 strong players and the rest are average. This leads me to my next points of criticism.
Moving on to perks: I genuinely do not understand the devs' logic here. Did they actually test this before the official release? Why put the Ninja and Cold-Blooded perks in different slots? Most of the lobby runs both of these perks, and what does that result in? You get beamed with zero info (no minimap pings) and zero audio (can't hear footsteps). Is this seriously considered good game design, are you kidding me? You might as well just turn off your monitor and play without sound — the result is the same. These perks need to be put into the same slot to balance things out, just like it was at the start of the Open Beta.
Next up: Tactical Sprint. Is this the 5th or 6th time we have to ask the devs about this? Why did they remove default tac sprint from multiplayer and make it a dedicated perk? What for? The game isn't incredibly fast-paced to begin with. I like the movement overall, but come on — I still double-tap Shift out of habit because it's a fundamental mechanic in almost every shooter. How the hell is this a perk? BRING BACK DEFAULT TAC SPRINT!
Next is the maps. I won't lie, about 80% of the current map pool is just trash from a map design perspective. Visually, of course, everything looks great and has a great vibe. The only decent maps for me are Transit 213, Rooftops, and Sentry. The rest are just camper paradises with 1,000 stupid angles you have to check constantly. Am I playing a tactical shooter?
Next, Time to Kill (TTK). As I mentioned earlier, I play on MnK, and I won't lie, it is sometimes difficult (or straight-up impossible) to outgun a good controller player with aim assist. I’m not going to complain about it too much since that's the core audience of this game... however, back in the Open Beta with the lower TTK, I at least had a chance to outgun controller players even if my aim wasn't perfect. What do we have now? Most weapons are just unplayable if you want to get kills because you just get out-damaged. An M4 might not kill a player, and you'll just see that you dealt 96 damage without getting the kill. In my opinion, they at least need to bring back the headshot damage multiplier like it was in the Open Beta. That was actually great and increased the skill gap — you had to aim for the head to get a faster kill. You know what I mean.
So, on paper, we have a really great game with potentially super fun, fast-paced multiplayer, high-quality weapon details, and visuals. But in reality, we have incredibly sweaty lobbies with zero balance, a TTK that is too high, and massive perk balance issues. This is just my opinion, but I’m already starting to see YouTube videos echoing these exact same takes. I really hope this gets taken into consideration.

Almost every match is people jumping around corners and relying on AA to get kills. And I think there is some lag too which helps then, now that they implemented Server Culling….so maybe that’s why it feels more like a problem this game around.
What’s hilarious is, if you spectate these clowns in theater mode….it’s all they do for the entire game, they jump around every corner.
Other than that the game is almost perfect.

Customers of the mobile network EE in the UK can get this for free.
No, I do not have a spare code.

I've never seen anything like it. So yeah, most of you who are having issues killing people... it's not a skill issue at all, the game is literally just eating your bullets for breakfast. You can actually see the sparks of my bullets hitting the dummy and failing to register. (my average ping is 35 ms, btw)
This is somehow worse than launch Battlefield 6's hit detection 😭

I need help. I have played every game except the last 3. Now I’m back and jumping into mp. I’m getting dog walked every match, still sitting at a 1 k/d somehow. I’ve played fast, I’ve played slow and I can’t figure it out. I’ll hit the guy first and hold my aim, doesn’t matter, dead. Movement demons everywhere. I find it hard to believe the average players can play like this. Am I washed? Do others have this experience? 😭 help me fix it
