Discussion Anyone else can’t stand this map?
I don’t know what it is but every time I see it I know I’m in for a bad time. Not only does it play badly, but I also think it’s just an ugly looking map in general.

Feedback Casual doesn’t exist.
Once again SBMM ruins the experience.
When my wife plays alone she can go get a 15+ kill game and has fun consistently.
We party up and it’s super negative and she bails.
Bring back random lobbies for us gamer couples.
Edit: Apologies to all those that have taken offence at my complaint.
For the record we both enjoy the game and will continue solo, just a shame we can’t share a more balanced lobby.

Discussion From a 9-5 dad gamer..
Calm the fuck down on SBMM!
First day was fine because kills and deaths were traded. Some games I went positive, others negative. No harm done cause that's how CoD has been for me. I'm not the best player. My K/D was around 1.5 when I was at my peak during MW2/BO1 era.
This game just forces you to play against cracked up players as soon as you do well in just 1 or 2 games. I launched the game last night, and got 3 consistent lobbies where I couldn't even do anything against the players. They jumped, slid, did ballet, got a 10 from the judges and applause from the audience before killing me..
Seriously SBMM is killing the enjoyment for me

Discussion I'm going to interview the actor who plays So Jae-Woo in Call of Duty Modern Warfare 4! [COD]
I had the opportunity to do an online Q&A with Jae Kim, the actor plays So Jae-Woo in Call of Duty Modern Warfare 4.
I'll ask him the things the fans are curious about. If there's anything you'd like me to ask him, you can write it here!

Image Using Decoys and the DDOS field upgrade on shipment gives really good xp per game
Just throw your 2 decoys, one down the middle and one to the side that the enemy is spawning on and use your DDOS whenever it charges
For comparison, a normal game gives around 5K XP

Feedback MW4’s TTK is killing the pace of COD, even Shipment isn’t fun anymore
I genuinely don’t understand the decision to make the TTK this slow in MW4.
I get the argument for a higher TTK. It gives players more time to react and puts more emphasis on tracking and sustained accuracy. But at some point, those benefits come at the expense of what makes Call of Duty fun in the first place.
This is an IW COD, not a 3arc COD. I expect fast, responsive gunfights where weapons feel lethal and good aim, positioning, and reaction time are rewarded. Right now, too many engagements feel unnecessarily drawn out.
Here’s where I think the current TTK misses the mark:
1-Gunfights feel less rewarding. Landing your opening shots and tracking someone shouldn’t feel like you’re emptying half a magazine just to secure a kill.
2-It doesn’t eliminate camping. Does a higher TTK supposedly encourage movement? Because people are camping so hard that some streamers might as well be sponsored by Camping World. 😂 A longer TTK doesn’t stop people from holding angles, retreating behind cover, or relying on teammates. If anything, it can make aggressive pushes even more frustrating.
3-Hardcore feels too much like Core. When I’m consistently getting 5–10 assists in a single Hardcore match because I’m landing multiple shots without securing kills, something feels off. Hardcore should be a meaningfully more lethal experience. If I’m playing Hardcore, I shouldn’t feel like I’m shooting the same bullet sponges as Core.
4-Shipment has lost some of its appeal. Shipment is a fan favorite because of its constant engagements and hyper-fast pace. Spawn, fight, respawn, repeat. That’s the fun. A slower TTK disrupts that rhythm, turning quick, chaotic gunfights into drawn-out engagements. The map’s entire identity is built around speed, and the current TTK works against it.
5-The camo grind is more tedious. When you’re leveling weapons and grinding challenges, requiring more bullets per kill makes an already repetitive process even more frustrating.
I’m not saying a high TTK has no place in gaming. But what is it actually improving in MW4? If the goal is to reward accuracy, that makes sense. If the goal is to give players a chance to react, that’s fair, too. But those benefits need to outweigh the cost to the game’s pacing and weapon feel.
At this point, is Activision getting paid for every round of ammunition we fire? 😂 Some of these gunfights make it feel like somebody’s profiting every time we need another five bullets to finish an enemy.
Hardcore feels like what Core used to feel like, and Core should reward accuracy and reaction time without turning every gunfight into a bullet sponge simulator.
I want MW4 to be a great COD, but I think the current TTK is working against the fast-paced experience that makes this franchise special.
TL;DR: I understand the arguments for a higher TTK, but MW4’s feels excessive. Gunfights drag on, camping is still everywhere, Hardcore doesn’t feel lethal enough, and Shipment has lost its signature pace. Is Activision getting paid per bullet?

Discussion I’ll go against the grain, I guess. I actually like these maps.
gallery…when the whole lobby isn’t raw-dogging the asphalt.
in my experience at least, these maps really do play quite nicely when the lobby is actually playing normally and not farming for longshots. Coal specifically reminds me of older COD maps.
Coal feels surprisingly bigger than it looks, Munitions is just a straight up good map (especially for SND), and Reactor is a nice, more linear 3-lane change of pace.
most (not all… transit…) of the launch maps in general have a nice mix of sightlines, shortcuts, and flanks that help avoid feeling like 3-lane meat grinders. kind of surprised to see these maps getting a lot of hate on the sub.

Discussion Finally, a snow-map.
The atmosphere of this map really reminds me of the old snowy maps from MW2 and MW3. It’s a shame it’s a bit small, but the old-school vibe with the snowstorm is top-notch.
At least this time they didn't sell arctic skins without arctic maps.
Give us more snowy maps!

Discussion Experiences of a 30+ player
It’s 2026.
You’re old now. In your 30s. A few grey hairs have crept in.
Your reflexes aren’t what they used to be. You can’t keep up with the movement. You don’t have hours to spend each day - you have a job, a partner, bills to pay. You can’t unlock all the attachments. You don’t know the meta.
You check your stats: 1.0 KD. You hate yourself. You were closer to a 2.0 back in 2009. You wonder what happened.
Then you realise… none of that fucking matters. It’s a game. Literally no one cares about your stats.
You jump on to play for fun and watch the sun set on a grateful universe.

Feedback No Hardcore Shipment
Shipment is out and of course there isn't a shipment Playlist in hard-core mode. Why? That is stupid and bullshit. I am like many others a hardcore only player and we are treated like ass.
And it is not available in private matches.

Discussion I don’t understand the thought process behind not wanting SBMM other than “I want to do well while everyone else does badly”
Everyone here seems to want to have a kdr of 1.5-2. But we can’t all have that? If someone gets a kill, someone else has to die.
I’m genuinely curious, is it just the more hardcore gamers on this subreddit that want to trample on the general population?
If there was no SBMM, wouldn’t all the below average players just stop playing the game after getting trampled every game, and then only the sweats will be left playing each other anyway?

Video This is quite literally what I mean by “we are playing different games”
People will tell you to stop complaining and “skill issue” their games look exactly like this. If your gameplay looks like this then you should definitely start in a protected bracket but one that still allows room for improvement.
With the way current SBMM works there’s no much thing as improvement because you’re only going to be as good as the people you verse. It’s like only ever teaching a child the alphabet and expecting them to one day start doing multiplication. You’re just dumbing down their experience

Discussion Thoughts on Operators Tied to Create A Class
galleryI’ve been enjoying the MP personally, but my only gripe is the lack of factions. It might just be a skill issue, but sometimes I have trouble distinguishing between teammates and enemies unless they have the red and blue icons above their heads. It doesn’t help when I get stunned and see 2–3 players with the same skins in the same area, since there’s no clear way to tell who’s friendly and who isn’t.
I really wish they had kept operator factions, as I feel like it would make distinguishing between enemies and friendlies a bit easier.
For those who play Hardcore (I haven’t tried HC yet), does this affect your experience much, or is it not really an issue? Am I unc?

Feedback The truth about matchmaking
After playing with friends and dominating in their lobbies, the game won't give me a server where I have less than 50ms latency when I solo queue for matchmaking, but when I'm with them I have about 30ms latency and the game feels completely different.

Discussion Boonie Hat Price Skin
galleryCan we PLEASE get a Classic Boonie Hat Price Skin in MW4? I don't care if it's OG Trilogy Price with the turtleneck, or even just a port of MW2/3's Price skin, just give me classic Price. I love the new design, but as a Price main, I'd rather rock the Boonie 9/10 times.

Discussion You think the TTK in core is bad? Hardcore is worse.
Let me preface with the fact I love this game. The campaign was fire, DMZ is genuinely fun (in my opinion obviously), and I AM enjoying multiplayer.
I exclusively play hardcore. Spraying a whole mag into someone only for them to hop away like the fucking Master Chief does not appeal to me.
However with that being said, let me be blunt:
There is absolutely no reason why someone with a pistol, should be one shotting people from close to medium range, but an assault rifle or an smg deals "23 points of damage".
There's no version of this where anyone can convince me that at short to medium range, a pistol will do more damage to you than an M4.
I get there's ongoing discussions about how long or short the TTK is in core, and I can't comment on it other than it simply wasn't for me. Everyone felt too spongey.
But nobody should feel spongey in Hardcore. Period.
Maybe it's a skill issue, I'm shit, and I'm using shit weapons. But it doesn't feel like it tbh.
Anyway bring on the downvotes, I know how this works 😂
