I’ve never been a fan of blocking people. I’ve also ended up attracting a certain type of person romantically. After some events in the last year, I have realized that my connection with my ex is unhealthy, I realized that I yet again attracted another person who very much fit the type I attract, I managed to hurt someone by not giving them the benefit of the doubt (this one in particular was very bad - I lost my hobby, friends, and I hurt someone to the degree where they will never forgive me and I understand why. It sucks) and I realized I need therapy to deal with all of this.
After days/weeks/months of this person who was “in love with me” (they weren’t) talking at me, writing letters, messaging me, saying the same things over and over, not listening when I outright told them I didn’t want to talk to them, after being a creep towards me, kept asking for another chance, and even kept considering still coming up to help my parents after I thought I made it very clear I was not okay with being around them.
I got tired of it all. The last straw was “can you teach me all about what I did wrong?”
No. I was not placed on this earth to teach you how to be a functioning human with emotions. (If I’m going to do that, let me go into psychology and at least get paid to do that!) This has been my life for the last decade. I’m done. Sorry about the saltiness, but it’s been a long time I’ve been dealing with this same type of person.
So I blocked them. I feel so free. I’ve been celebrating! Listening to music, doing some hobbies I haven’t in a while, playing video games, just enjoying not being the teacher for lonely desperate people who want to be taught how to be a human being.
