Hi! This is the newest member of our family, Phineas. We brought him home Saturday! He was born August 17. Looking forward to being a part of this page and learning about this breed as we go too! 🐾🧡🐶

After being a long time stalker of this sub and me and my wife finally getting a house we welcomed this little guy to our family this weekend. Cannot explain how happy I am and how much we love him already. He’s the sweetest boy imaginable! I will say the first night was very rough as he did not like being in his crate at all, hoping it gets easier🤞🏼

Hi everyone! 💕
This is my 7month old baby girl, Trufee. 🐶💕 She started her first heat about a week ago, and she’s been having a really hard time.
She’s extremely uncomfortable, barely wants to eat, cries a lot, gets super nervous, trembles frequently, and constantly wants to be right next to me. She’s usually a happy little girl, so seeing her like this breaks my heart. 🥺
I’ve already taken her to the vet twice, and her vet reassured me that her behavior is within the normal range for a dog going through her first heat.
Following her vet’s recommendation, we’re planning to have her spayed about two months after her heat ends.
In the meantime, I just want to help her feel more comfortable and relaxed. I feel so helpless seeing her struggle like this.
Has anyone experienced something similar with their puppy’s first heat? What helped your girl feel better? I’d really appreciate any tips, advice, or personal experiences! ❤️
Thank you so much! 🐾💕

We love our sweet angel- don't get me wrong- but in recent months we've basically been stuck at home because she has extreme anxiety without us. She used to be ok when familiar people would dog sit, but not anymore! I am so worried that if we leave her for too long (like more than 4 hours ) she will work herself up and make herself sick (this has happened before- mostly with an extremely upset tummy which results in diarrhea l/soft stool for days).
We given her greenies calming treats but they don't seem to work. We tried hemp oil as well and that didn't work.
Last may, we went to costa rica and left her with family. When we got back, we thought she wasn't going to make it- seemed like severe depression or something and took a couple of weeks for her to bounce back.
All of that said, we feel very restricted and stuck at home all the time. I always tell myself I should cherish this time with her because once she's gone I can't get it back. BUT I thought I'd see if anyone here has any advice or has gone through something similar.
Thanks in advance.

My girl is 13 weeks old, I have had her for 3.5 weeks now and at the beginning she had a puppy pad toilet area because of our living situation. - I live at home with my mum and her two adult dogs (Shih Tzu males) who haven’t gotten used to her as quickly as we thought so I kept her upstairs in my bedroom most of the time which meant she was using the puppy pads up there.
As the boys have slowly gotten a bit more used to her presence I try to keep her down stairs more often now which means I’ve started trying to potty train her outside the past week or so, it’s going okay she’s had a few accidents in the house but I take her out whenever I see her sniffing and she goes outside when I put her out there. (She doesn’t ask to go outside yet though).
We live in the Peak District UK which if you don’t know is known for its bad weather. It has been non stop rain and strong winds for the past few days and that’s when the toilet training has gone down hill, whenever I take her out she just wants to come back in (crying at the door)
I then tried taking her out the front and a bit away from the house but she just stands still like a statue or tries climbing up my leg. Then when I bring her inside she does the toilet inside.
The weather is only going to get worse and will probably start snowing soon too, is there anything I could try that I don’t know about? I worry that those first couple of weeks allowing her to use the puppy pads upstairs was a big mistake, what can I do to fix this?

Edit: First night was rough but we did it! I know a lot of people said to just let him in the bed with us but I want him to be crate trained so he has somewhere safe to be on the few occassions we have to leave the house without him 🫠 Ive bought him a snuggle buddy for sleeping going forwards so hopefully that helps him feel less lonely!☺️ Been wanting my own dog since I was 10, I turned 30 this month and decided it was finally time! This is Winston, a black & tan mini weenie, tonight is his first night both in a new home and in a crate and he is HATING it 😭 i feel awful hearing him cry, pls tell me he'll be okay and im just being sensitive 🥺

This Wednesday will be 3 weeks with Rocky in our lives. He couldn’t be any more loved than he already is.
