Closing Trejo's Donut Announces Closure in Hollywood
A popular Hollywood donut shop is preparing to close its doors after years of serving the Los Angeles community, but its owners say this isnât the end.
Trejoâs Donuts, the Hollywood bakery associated with actor Danny Trejo, announced on Instagram that its last day of business at its current location will be Thursday, Oct. 29.
âHollywood, itâs been so sweet!â the business wrote in a joint Instagram post with Trejo. âCome share one last coffee and donut with us before we close our doors.â
The announcement marks the end of the shopâs run at its only Hollywood location, though the business indicated that another location is already in the works.
âAs our lease comes to an end, it is time to close this chapter at our one and only Hollywood location,â the announcement read. âWe want to thank each and every one of you for being such an incredible and special part of our journey here!â
The shop invited customers to stop by for one last donut before Thursdayâs closure.
âThis is definitely not a final goodbye,â the announcement continued. âWeâre so excited to welcome you all to our next spot!â
The business has not disclosed where its next location will be or when it is expected to open.
Trejoâs Donuts has become known for its colorful, creatively flavored donuts, including vegan options, and its connection to the Los Angeles-born actor, who also operates the Trejoâs Tacos brand.
The closure announcement drew an outpouring of reactions from customers, many sharing memories of visiting the Hollywood shop.
âI have some very fond memories of getting fantastic donuts on Saturdays when I lived in Chinatown,â one commenter wrote, adding that the shopâs vegan offerings made its donuts accessible to more customers.
For now, customers have until Thursday to visit the Hollywood location before it closes.
The business encouraged followers to stay tuned for updates on where it will open next.
