Man these were days of 2k. I had a blast playing my league and everything on 2k11. Meeting president Obama in a video game is a great experience. It sucks we’ll never get to see this type of thing again.

Discussion Getting blitzed online for speaking up.

Joe Knows made a video about 2K’s greedy practices after seeing what happened with the CFB situation. He asked at the end of the video basically what we should do as a community about these issues. While some supported the idea of rallying together and agreeing with his points etc. others dismissed it, saying it’s pointless and that 2K and its community are just to far gone.

Have we really reached the point where we’d rather accept being taken advantage of instead of fighting for changes? Curious to hear everyone’s thoughts.

Discussion Retiring from 2k

I assume nobody will care, and that’s fine. But I need to get this off my chest because maybe there’s someone just like me, and reading this will push you to make the same decision.

I actually sat back and realized how many hours I spend on 2k, this is my only video game, I genuinely don’t play anything else.

I don’t want to disclose how many hours I’ve played on 2k26, because it’s actually sad.

I could’ve spent those hours , learning , going to the gym, bettering myself in a bunch of different ways , but instead , I sat hours on end in front of a video game. Purposely calling out of work to play with my friends online, spending my last $50 to make a damn build, putting real life things to the side and choosing 2k, but not anymore.

Playing video games are more psychological than you may think, and how often you play matters the most. 1-2 Hours a day is just fine, but spending 6+ hours (1/4th of your day) playing video games, can’t be healthy and never will be.

If you get paid to play, all power to you.

Video games will no longer control my life , today it ends. I’ve already sold my ps5 and monitor.

Maybe one day when I’m more mature mentally , and more financially stable, I’ll pick the game back up. Until then, it’s ggs for me. Thanks for reading this if you did, make a change and be better every day !

Discussion Looks like the 2k hammer is real and there’s some sort of detection. One of my Cr3w members got a permaban from using a cr0nus. He only shot 40% even with it so it’s not based on 3pt%. Big W 2k!

Discussion more sweat = new graphics

Post image
1.1k Upvotes

I put this picture together so you can actually see the pattern that's been happening year after year.

Look at the comparisons. The player models themselves aren't dramatically different, if they're even different at all. But suddenly, the old version has less sweat, flatter lighting, lower contrast, and more washed-out colors. Then the new version gets shinier skin, more sweat, stronger contrast, and better lighting.

And boom - "NEW AND IMPROVED GRAPHICS!"

Don't get me wrong, I don't think 2K's graphics are bad. I actually like how the game looks. What I don't fuck with is the fact that we're being sold the same graphics as "new" every single year.

New face scans ≠ new graphics.

As far as I'm concerned, the pictures on the right side could be from the same game. The game has looked the same for nearly a decade now. They just keep changing the presentation and then market it as a major or improved graphics upgrade.

Discussion Lawsuit Forces 2K To Explain Why NBA 2K Players Can’t Transfer Digital Currency: ‘You Have No Ownership Or Other Rights’ To Virtual Items

The community consistently complains about gameplay and patches. The community needs to get together to force 2k to allow us to keep all of our virtual items. VC should be saved in a 2k VC wallet to be used across all 2k games or at least in the games you purchased that VC for. The currency logo never changes nor does the means of purchase. In NBA 2k the actual items don’t change either. We are purchasing the same clothes from years ago. At a higher VC price as well. So they are selling the same products every year as if they are new. The cost of a build is ridiculous. Last year it was 364,000 VC roughly. This year it’s 374,000 So that means 2k is stealing by selling us the same items over and over. Not allowing us to carry virtual items over.

The gameplay is fine! Stop complaining about how the devs make a perfectly good game. Start making noise about our HARD EARNED CASH that we give to a company for a game we love to play. They claim to care about our voice so much when it comes to developing these games! Why not the money too?!?!?
