Gameplay Reminder that in past 2ks standing dunks, swim moves, passing, post moves, and rebounding all worked. Paint beast were actually good builds

To prevent the continuing flood of build screenshots in our sub I am making this thread for everyone to share and discuss all the 2K27 builds you would like.
Thanks!

You guys managed to fix cheating for a whole 3 weeks and now they're all back and far worse than before.
On top of that, you've made contests damn near impossible on this quick stop cheese so it's pretty much impossible to register anything higher than a semi open.
Great game you've crafted.

A lot of people talk about how they nerfed standing dunks and how hard driving dunks are but nobody seems to talk about how they just got rid of like every layup badge. Like no more giant slayer or slippery finisher. If you want to be a slashing guard there’s almost no point because you can’t get access to physical finisher, so you have to get dunks or there’s almost no point in driving.

Since season 2, shooting has been even easier. I have an 80 3 ball, my release speed is very quick cause I have a quick reaction. They said I zen but I really don’t. I got to HQ Crew and practice before going into any game. Another thing, a lot of y’all be sleeping on that default release. All im changing is the base and keeping upper release 1&2 at default. That default has a sweet release and a big green window. All you need, is to find your base. Like I said, I don’t Zen at all and you can see on how my release timing on the top left.

I play solo REC and focus on winning!
I'm sitting 5 games under .500, but shooting 55% FG and 50% 3PT over my last 20 games.
Last game, I held a 99 mid/99 3PT matchup to just 8 points. I only took 4 shots and had 6 points because I was locked in on defense.
We were up 10 in the 3rd when the PF started toxic crying at our PG (who had 9 assists at the half). I tried to defuse the argument, and the PF turned on me, saying I was trash for only having 6 points. Never mind the fact that the moment I switched off my guy, he started torching us.
The casual REC community genuinely doesn't understand that defense wins games."
I can’t lie I see a lot of these new goat builds get a lot of hate but in my opinion if you are good at the game this just makes you better. If you’re already a lock, you’re a legendary lock now which is annoying if you’re the player getting locked up, but if not super nice.
People complaining about the locked animations and stuff like that, but if you used to play All-Star team, we play now online when they had the player version. You are nice. I feel like they’ve done it to benefit those players also.
If you are good at the game and don’t need certain animations to make yourself better than these builds were definitely made for you.

The cheating and the sbmm on top of just not good gameplay has officially put nba 2k27 is probably the worst 2k I have ever played. Game is just not enjoyable whatsoever with cheating in every other rec game as a red plate. The devs refuse to do something about it or even acknowledge how horrendous the cheating is. I want these folks to load up on a red plate with red plate teammates and see how much fun they are having on this trash heap of a product. But if I quit the game because I don’t want to play a cheater I get banned.

So I’m pretty close to finalizing this Center in the builder. The last thing I’m kinda torn on is if I should go 60 steal or not.
For those that have 60 steal how does it feel and do you feel it’s worth the investment?

I think everyone can agree that the current state of AI is dubious at best. The one thing nobody mentions though is that AI would not be a problem(whether Op or Cones) if people didn't spam leave games the second things don't go their way. There are 2 things in this world I hate over anything else; cheaters and quitters. If you do either, I am just going to assume you have a loser mentality and are most likely a loser in real life too.
2K needs to start actually punishing leavers for leaving games. I don't load up the Rec to play with or against AI's.

I’m trying to finish my Lifetime Challenges at The Track, but I keep getting matched against the same dude. He keeps quitting before I can finish the race, and the win doesn’t count toward my challenges. WTF 😂
Why isn’t that an automatic forfeit win? I’m wasting time because somebody else won’t finish the race.
Anybody else dealing with this? Is there a workaround?

Has anyone capped their magic dunk to 86. What do you notice? Is it worth it?

Haven’t been able to get them for the life of me.
I tried right stick up, left right, down, square. All with right trigger. I tried moving a little bit to activate a dunk and nothing. Only time I dunk is when I’m wide open, I dunk more on my 6’7 with 40 standing dunk.
I made a D12 build and I’m definitely a horse. 99 standing dunk, every single standing contact dunk animation equipped, and legend rise up. My player just never goes for a standing dunk, let alone a contact dunk.
Ik people talk about it not working, but has anyone genuinely seen a standing contact dunk?

Im a decently consistent shooter at ~68% and i was thinking of making the klay build. I feel like the 3&d playstyle really fits me but id like to hear some opinions first

Would be a much better alternate than mycareer. Everyone starts their player off as an 80 overall and progresses on how well y’all play. You can make ANY build you want without spending money and no restrictions on sigs, height, wingspan unless it’s too OP. You could wear any accessories and any brand shoes. Adjust the sliders to get a more realistic game, that way everyones playstyle can work. 2k would never allow this because they would lose out on money, but man this would be a game changer instead of playing online sometimes.
