I was thinking about how nyc is probably the only city that would be capable of buying and running their sports team. If they bought all of msg which includes the knicks and rangers for 20 billion on the high end, with a ballot referendum for a bond or tax hike, and/or a Green Bay style share sale, it really is quite plausible. I think it would be incredible as we’ve gotten to a point in popularity where sports teams are fairly profitable and would make sense for public ownership. Let me know what you guys think, the one thing people might be ok with taxes for is the Knicks.

- we’re just having championship hangover
- once brunson wakes up we’ll be good
- mike is always experimenting early season he’s just doing his thing we have nothing to worry about
- i’ll be worried once December comes
- knicks could fail out of this season and i’ll still be happy we got a chip
Feel free to add yours below lol i am coping with yall😭🙏

I'm speaking about Celtics fans who made the 08 championship their whole personality of course. They're a very well run franchise that's deserving of our respect and acknowledgement, but man it was annoying how for 16 years, their fans milked that thing dry. I do NOT want us to do the same thing with this year's Finals run. It was great, but it's a new season and we have a new championship to win. Enjoy the past but also work towards the future. That's how dynasties are made fellas.

Every time things start going well, I catch myself waiting for something to go wrong 😂
Years of watching this team will do that to you. Even when we have a good squad, I can't just sit back and enjoy it without thinking about what could go wrong.
The difference now is that I actually have reasons to be excited, which somehow makes me even more nervous.
I just want to watch a Knicks game without doing playoff math in my head or checking injury updates every five minutes.
Anyone else still have that automatic Knicks fan pessimism even when things are looking good?

How much would you sell this for?
I’m based in the UK and not sure 100% sure where I got the jacket from - I did go to a Knicks game back in 2013, so not sure if I got it from there or from a vintage shop in NY or a vintage shop here in the UK sometime in the 2010s.
What era is it from, is it rare or anything? If I was to sell it how much should I list it for?
Sarcastic comments not helpful, please. I’m just looking for some information so that I can list it accurately when trying to sell. I have no idea how much it’s worth.

I need us to be stomped really hard to be humbled. I dont see any championship plays this past games.

I get that the Knicks are trying to win now, and I understand why every loss gets people frustrated. But I also think there's value in giving young players like Tyler Kolek a real chance to show what they can do with consistent minutes.
It's hard to judge a player when their role changes constantly or they only get short stretches to make an impact. Sometimes you need to let them play through mistakes before you can figure out whether they actually fit into the rotation.
I'm not saying we should sacrifice winning just to develop prospects, but I'd rather see what we've got than leave questions unanswered all season.
How patient are you willing to be with the younger players on this roster? Who do you think deserves a longer look in the rotation?

I suffered rooting for 17-65 and 23-59 TWICE and a 37-45 Knick team three times so I was never on the “Knicks win 1 I’m good for life” bandwagon I want to see ANOTHER CHIP before I’m satisfied
That said, some of us are dooming too early 😂 if you’re apart of the doomer community lets just wait till Christmas please. 🙏🏾 this team gonna figure it out

Were the ONLY team to make the second round in each of the last 4 seasons - yet we don’t win a ton of games
Pistons won 60 last year and lost before ECF
Cavs won like 64 in 2025 and didn’t make ECF
Boston last year won 56 games last year without their all-star and didn’t make it passed 1st round
Some teams do have a very solid formula or play style like Celtics where they just chuck up more 3s than you and over 82 games you make out winning 55+ of them
We are a grit and grind team like the 04 Pistons or those Grizzlies team. We can defend, and have sometimes an awkward offense
But get us in a series and we will study you and beat you down
But the 82 game slog, we aren’t always gonna be the team with the best game plan, but meet us in a series…

Because so far the defending champs are 0-3 so is it just simple hangover or do the Knicks need more in order to compete in the East? Or to even repeat as champions?

I think we can all agree that Brunson is the daughter. Willis Reed and Walt Frazier are Adam and Eve. Lucifer is probably Isiah Thomas.

My father sent me a Knicks shirt during the playoffs. It arrived right before game four against the Hawks. I put it on and the rest is history. Only Trump’s stank could overpower the shirt.
I don’t know why, but I haven’t worn the shirt for any of these first three games. My bad. Don’t get mad at our guys. It’s on me.
I’m wearing it against Detroit. I’ll do better.

Happens to every fanbase that wins a chip. Fan base thinks their shit doesn’t stink and their team can do no wrong.
Not saying the season is over. But also not saying this team is still a lock to come out the east.
Every season is a new chapter. This team will need to learn to play together and adapt like they did last year. It’s a long season. But let’s get our head out our asses. We aren’t the 95 bulls

Knicks are not going back to back folks. It’s alright, most teams don’t these days!
Only the multi-stacked Heat/Warriors teams have accomplished this within the last 15 years (each one overcoming a 3-2 deficit along the way).
Once you heard ownership say no to going in the 2nd apron, you already knew what time it was…
It should still be a fun season of basketball for the NBA as a whole. And regardless of who else wins the title in 2027, their fanbase will not have the same impact of a rapid Knicks Fanbase!

I want the Knicks to win a game at least but that magic game gave me some doubts. I want this team to play like champs. I’m starting to want a trade for bridges man cause bro is to up and down trade him heck he’s can play for the sharks for all I care just either bench him or get him off the team. Hopefully Tuesday tho he proves me wrong
r/NYKnicks • u/LeftFall2610 • 21h ago
The Knicks have all the ingredients for a championship as we just saw. What the Knicks have is a focus problem, and that was prevalent even during the run, where we'd go down 10 or even 20 and come back to win games. No we dont need to change the lineup, no we dont need to fire the coach, no we dont need to ship Bridges to Mars (yet).
On the plus side maybe this will cull the bandwagon so I can finally get some Knicks gear without battling resellers like the old days.

For the life of me can’t understand why this guy can’t get a run of games with consistent minutes. He’s obviously competing with Alvarado for minutes but he offers something so different that I think we could use especially during the regular season.
His biggest strength is being a true, pass first PG. He defers to all the starters and is looking to get them easy looks at all times whether it be in transition or the half court.
I even would like to see him in some lineups with Brunson. I don’t know if his shooting is there yet where we can play with Josh on the floor too, but he can run some offense while taking some on ball pressure off of JB.
Am I the only one who feels like he’s earned a chance at some real minutes!
