The weekly challenges are fun, and it’s been cool to see the creativity put into different scenarios. What do you all think about a scenario where you only have access to the army you start with? You can’t purchase new units, and you have to conquer as much as you can with your starting army.

I've been imagining what the Polytopia tribes would look like in real life, and made these using AI. I tried to take each tribe's units, buildings, terrain and overall culture into consideration, rather than just the single unit.
I haven't done all 32 skins though, just one skin for each of the 16 tribes.
Which one is your favorite? And when you're playing, do you also imagine what the characters would look like in real life?

All the others are relatively straightforward except this shit, how am I gonna poison 20 enemy troops without killing.
Phychi is too glassy, all the splash poison units have too much strength they just end up killing, and AI just throws poisoned unit to death anyway
Enemy gotta have like 4-5 cities to have 20 units in the first place, its difficult to keep stable front in that kind of situation

Playing for love and might achievement and there seems to be no land connections to this city, is this seed just impossible? No Polaris so can't freeze stuff

No changes that would typically cause a lost population happened. Does anyone know what’s going on here? Seems like a glitch, but I could be wrong.

Let me know how I did and if there’s anything I can improve on. Playing imperius ~1000 elo. Thanks!

In 1600+ ELO, they are such a hard tribe to play against.
In the early game, they can get to cities before you and they can start to pressure your cities after only buying hunting or organization, forcing you into defense.
They always get the eye of god and grand bazaar monuments before any other tribe. This means they are usually quickest to get multiple giants, and they already have roads to throw their giants at your face.
With such an early and mid game advantage, the only counter I can think of is to go for markets to gain the late game advantage. This strategy is really inconsistent though because you need to be able to defend efficiently to afford it. Hoodrick comes to mind, but Yaddak can just buy riding and you are fighting on the ropes until you get giants.
IMO having roads as a starting tech is just too OP. This tech augments economy, expansion, and combat ability all in one. No other tech can compare

Started this game in creative. 4 opponents, crazy difficulty. I almost died at the start with losing 3 out of my first 6 cities. But then I built such a strong economy I was literally spawning Knights in every city every turn and sacrificing them into the shredder that was the enemy's 15 bombers until I eventually was able to brute force through. Later in the game there was a point where there wasn't space in the ocean to move a unit because it was filled with bombers, each bomber having a knight inside of it. At the end I got so impatient I just converted all my bomber back into knights and just yoloed all of them into 4x defense Defenders. At the last turn I convertered all my 2000+ stars into temples.
I am a new player and this is only my second full game other than tutorial so you might find my playstyle wierd or inefficient.

nice addition. Most of them seem quite straightforward, but I thought I'd start at the top & work my way down... win a game without attacking against 3 Hard bots, how difficult could it be?! (Quite tricky, as it turns out 🤣 Very much at the mercy of RNG for this one so lots of restarts required until you get a suitable map!) Got it now though so busy plowing through the rest 😃

3 squadron of dragons to rule over 14 tribes.

I’m trying to understand port connections better.
How did I connect from Gu-yo to Zanla? It seems like a 5-tile gap unless you count going through the land.
This one really got me. I placed a port west of Zimzan and I lost the connection.

I'm hoodrick ofc, I'm quite rusty haven't played in a while
What's the appropriate response here it seems like checkmate since the fire dragons can counter everything and I can't utilise the window before hand since they have catapults

I always don't like it when there are enemies in multiplayer giant rush, it's like they can't be stopped, do you have any advice for beginners?
