Hi r/SampleSize! We're a team of undergraduate students running a survey for our sociology course project. We're studying how people sort everyday situations into three categories: what counts as a crime, what's wrong but not a crime, and what's completely acceptable.
**What you'll do**
- Read ~30 short scenarios (e.g. keeping money you find on the road, downloading a pirated film, a parent disciplining a child)
- Choose one option for each: Crime / Wrong, but not a crime / Acceptable
- Answer a few questions about your background and upbringing
**Details**
- Time: about 10 minutes
- Audience: 18+, currently living in India or grew up in India
- Anonymous: no name, email, or Google sign-in needed
- Content note: some scenarios mention violence, and a few questions ask about physical discipline in childhood. You can stop at any time.
There are no right or wrong answers. We want your honest first reaction, not what the law says.

Happy to answer questions in the comments, and we'll post a summary of the results here once the project is done. Thanks a lot for your time! 🙏
