Discussion Would a fully-indoor map work for Valorant?

• Upvotes

As the title asks, would a fully indoor location fit a 2-bomb format game mode?
I always wanted a map to be located inside a skyscraper, with A-Site, Mid, and B-Site being 3 separate floors in the building.

- What weapons would be meta?

- What agents would be meta?

Discussion Ranked matchmaking

Why is there iron, bronze, silver, gold in the same lobby?

I am not sure how riot games calculates the "hidden mmr", but this is too far of a stretch.

Discussion What happened to balanced RR distribution??

I swear, I thought people were kidding when they said that the RR system became terrible after the new update, but they're not. Why is it that if I win a game (even if I get top frag, team MVP, or match MVP) I'm getting under 20 RR, but if I lose, I'm getting consistent -25 or more? What incentivizes players to rank up when 1 loss can cost them 2 wins? Is there a good reason for making this change? I feel like it's literally just lose-lose

Question I have question about confirm shot in valorant

I was watching YouTube about how you should confirm your shot before you shoot but when I look at game play. Bye the pros or streamer neither of them are confirming there shot more like instincts take over well maybe if holding corner but besides that I never see Pearson take there time confirm there shot just instinct soo my question is should be confirming my shot and take the time or let instinct take over

Gameplay Iso wall buff idea

Iso's C ability, contingency, is now semi-transparent for iso. He can see through it, but not shoot through it. Enemies and his allies will not be able to see through it.

Would this be too strong of a buff for him? I feel like it would help him to scale better if enemies had to fear and respect his wall a little more, knowing that he would have an advantage if they decide to peek into it.

Question what to do about inconsistency

Every time I play ranked, most of my games I play fairly decently. However there's always a game where I just go horribly negative and I don't know why, its as if I go on autopilot and make all the wrong decisions. I was wondering if anyone else has dealt with that and if they were able to find a way to deal with it.

Discussion Not saying she's OP, but Hush feels like a slap in the face to non-duelist players.

I feel like we can agree duelist is the more fun chaotic role. However the stage of the game finally cracked down on the "duelist flying at you with one button and head tapping you in the air" bullshit that happens so often. Nerfed neon slide, jets in a good space, raze satchel nerf, etc. they basically decreased all the overwatch BS that shouldn't happen in a shooter like Valorant. However this new hero? It's ridiculous that they come out with a hero that has such easy and fun 1v1 abilities. Meanwhile look at every other hero. Miks is so boring and not that exciting, Vyse and Deadlock are still never played years later, harbor still sucks in 99% of games. I have 2500 hours since 2021 peaked asc 3 and man I feel like you can tell how much Riot caters this game to duelists. The only exciting and played non duelists they really add are...clove and chamber. Guess what? Those are filled by duelist mains.

Discussion At what rank does Headshot Percentage actually start to matter?

According to tracker.gg, my headshot percentage of 11.8% is worse than the average Iron player. Yet I reached Gold 1 this week and am doing just fine despite usually having the worst hs% of my teammates. Some games I'm in the single digits while the average Gold player gets about 20 to 30%, so clearly that metric is flawed. I think having a high KAST value is more indicative of actual skill level. Maybe cause I main as Cypher and love to spray through cages and smokes, that plays a part. Thoughts?

Question How to impact games on Attack more

Recently, I've run into a lot of people who won't enter or smoke properly in Bronze, which has cost us many rounds on Attack when defenders already have 5 people on site and we try to dry-swing out of smoke. What can I do to help my team win on attack as a senti/initiator? Or should I play smokes/duelist myself? What smoke/duelist agents can solve this problem effectively?

Discussion Will Deadlock ever receive any attention at all or is she stuck in a infinite balance limbo?

Deadlock just feels like the half baked versions of different sentinels rolled into one. She doesn’t slow down enemy pushes as well as Sage, she cant hold down an area as good as KJ or Cypher or even Vyse, she cant take duels like Chamber, and she doesn’t have the counter potential of Tejo. So like…what exactly does she do? I want her to be good because shes my main and theres definitely a lot of cool thinhs you can learn to improve with her but in so many instances i just think “if i was cypher” or “if i was chamber” instead of “i got that kill/defended area because i was SPECIFICALLY deadlock.”

She just has no niche to carve out it feels like and even the devs dont really know how to change her without her making other sentinals then obsolete if they did buff her. Honestly her wall needs a rework and the trips need to be given a more guaranteed effect or REALLY make getting a trip trigger actually be basically a guaranteed duel win. I am coming back to val after not playing for like a year so mabye im wrong but it seems she’s gotten 0 changes and shes constantly seen as “the other sentinel” people just dont pay any mind too. Nobody is afraid of a deadlock on the other team or even has a strong opinion on her whatsoever when they see shes chosen, shes the most nothing burger slot it feels like.

Discussion valorant is often frustrating expierence.

when you play smokers, people wait for your smokes to run out before entering the site,

when playing duelist smokers don't smoke for you and you die because every angle is unsafe

when playing sentinels duelist wait in the main and you're ending up being the one to enter the site and die

when playing initiator, you give info for your team and even show enemies on the minimap, your teammates seem to not even look at it and ignore that information was given to them.

honestly sometimes i have no idea what im supposed to do anymore in this game cus everything often seem pointless if your team just doesn't work together and especially when some of your teamates just, decide to lurk around the map and all they get are kills but losing the rounds

Question Do you think i can hit Diamond? Judge my Tracker

This is the first time in a while where I’m taking rank pretty seriously. Aim training every day, playing at least 3 matches, watching top level players utilize my agent, and playing with friends who also want to climb. Right now the goal is to hit Diamond and wanted to drop my tracker.gg in hopes you guys can give me some constructive criticism. Or even just clown on my stats, either way you’re fueling the grind and the input is appreciated.

Question Translate DM skills to regular games ?

I'm not high elo at all, around mid silver.

I noticed that I usually have "acceptable" fights and scores in DM, however, when playing ranked or normal games, I'm way worse at taking good fights etc

I'm not sure why that is, since I don't really feel pressure or particular stress compared to my deathmatchs, but I definitly feel it, with panic sprays, bad fights, movements or decisions.

How can I work on that problem ?

Question How do you guys improve your aim?

My buddy said I need to find the right sensitivity, but I’ve already tried different types. Sometimes when I think a sensitivity fits me perfectly, but the next day it feels too slow or too fast. I tried practicing in the practice range for hours, but when i try to play, I just can't hit the target.

Educational I can't figure out what I'm doing wrong. Can someone review my Tracker/Op.gg?

Can someone help me figure out what I need to improve?

I'm currently Gold 3, playing in Plat lobbies, and I recently played a game against a Diamond 1 player. I don't think I'm just unlucky, but I can't quite figure out what I'm doing wrong or what I should focus on improving and I cant climb past Gold 3.

I'd really appreciate it if someone could take a look at my tracker or opgg and give me some honest feedback. Im constantly getting mvps
