This sub has been flooded with ai in the past. But not anymore. If you make a post with ai, where it is very obviously ai written, (we can tell) it will be removed, and you banned. Have fun, and lets hear some confessions. Human ones.

My roommate thinks our apartment is haunted by a poltergeist. I just found out I am the ghost.

• Upvotes

I know this sounds like the plot of a dumb sitcom, but I am living in pure humiliation right now. For the past four months my roommate has been convinced our apartment has a ghost. She kept finding kitchen cabinets wide open at 6 AM, cereal boxes sitting in the bathroom sink, and her house keys moved to the freezer. She went full paranormal investigator. She bought sage smudge sticks, lined our doorway with salt, and literally hosted a "cleansing circle" with three of her friends to communicate with the spirit. I thought she was just being paranoid or forgetful. Then on Tuesday night my doctor switched my sleep medication. At 3:30 AM I suddenly snapped awake in total pitch black darkness. I was standing in the hallway wearing only gym shorts, holding an open jar of mayonnaise in one hand and her car keys in the other. My soul left my body. Every single paranormal anomaly for sixteen weeks was just me sleepwalking in an Ambien blackout.

I stood there in the dark, staring at the salt line on the floor, realizing that I am the Victorian child haunting our two-bedroom apartment. She has now invited an amateur ghost-hunting group over this weekend with EVP recorders. I have to confess before people start filming my pantry.

My roommate is such a pretentious snob that she tricked herself into loving avant-garde noise just to look cultured.

My roommate treats listening to normal pop music like a moral failure. She constantly brags about her "intellectual palate" and looks down on everyone. Six months ago she left her iPad unlocked. Annoyed by her snobbery, I liked three albums on her Spotify: obscure 1970s Soviet synth jazz and Mongolian throat singing. It was a dumb prank. I expected her to skip it. Instead, her ego trapped her. Terrified of looking uncultured, she convinced herself the algorithm had recognized her elite mind. She didnt skip it. She forced herself to listen, convinced it was sacred high art. Last Friday was peak Emperor’s New Clothes. She hosted a dinner party for her graduate school friends. I walked in and she was literally playing an eight-minute track of a man growling over a screeching fiddle. She was pouring wine, lecturing about "nomadic spiritual frequencies," and her six friends were nodding along in agonizing silence because nobody wanted to admit it sounded like a dying lawnmower. I had to bite my cheek until it bled. She built an entire aesthetic out of a thirty-second prank.

I'm the reason my dad's ex-wife divorced him and he never got over her

I lost my mom when I was 7 and my dad remarried 18 months later after dating his ex-wife for six months. She tried very hard to fit into the family as a wife and mom but I didn't want her to be motherly toward me and I rejected all her efforts to be there for me. My dad would try to encourage us to bond all the time. He'd plan vacations for us and he'd send us on girly spa days together and he made sure she was present for every school play or dance recital. He also made sure she was at every medical appointment I had for the medical conditions I had. His ex-wife was heartbroken that none of it brought us closer but she was sure that eventually I would come around.

Then when I was 11 I had to be rushed to the hospital because of a very scary flare of one of my conditions. I thought I was going to die and my dad's ex-wife was the person at home, she called the ambulance for me and she was at the hospital. I tried to send her away several times before she left when my grandmother showed up. I was crying out for my mom and dad and kept saying I didn't want her to touch me or sit next to me but when my grandma showed up I reached for her. Apparently it was the straw the broke the camels back for her and it was when she realized I seriously did not like her because even when I was scared and a mess and worried I would die I didn't lean on her for comfort or accept her being there.

I was still in the hospital when she told dad it would never work. She told him it was all too much but she told his parents (not my grandma who showed up btw that was mom's mom) that if I could reject her even when I was in crisis like that day in the hospital, that she would never be able to have a loving family because she would always be an outsider and unwanted by me and if she had her own kids with dad I might not want them either. They never told dad what she told them but they did tell me about a year after she left/after my medical emergency.

It has been almost a decade since that happened and my dad never got over her. She moved on but he never dated again. He told others that he loved her so much and it didn't seem fair to be with anyone when he felt that way about her.

Ex stepson said he loves me.

I met his dad when he was 10. Married his dad when he was 12. 2 years later, I cheated on his dad. His dad divorced me and I moved away after.

I had a great relationship with my stepson. I genuinely loved him. His biological mother wasn’t in his life after he was 3. I was the first mother like figure he had. He called me by my first name during this time.

It’s been a year since I moved away. He’s 15 now.

He knocked on my door today. I was surprised to see him. He said he walked to my house. We had a conversation. During it, he told me he loves me and that he walked to my house when he had told his dad he was going out with friends. I told him he should probably go home before his dad finds out and he did, but before that, he said he thinks of me as his mom.

I don’t know how to feel.

so...I regifted my cheating ex’s bathroom candle to my boss for Secret Santa.

Two years ago I drew my department director for the office Secret Santa. The limit was $25. I was broke and completely forgot until 7 AM the morning of the party. Panicking, I found an unopened luxury candle shoved behind my toilet paper stash. It was an expensive peace-offering my toxic ex left after cheating on me. I slapped some tissue paper on it and brought it in. At the party my boss unwrapped it and immediately went dead silent. Her eyes welled with tears. She choked up and told everyone that this discontinued scent was the exact candle her late mother burned every Christmas before she passed. She hugged me and thanked me for being "so remarkably thoughtful!" I stood there nodding with a sick smile while my soul left my body. Three months later she hand-picked me for a promotion to senior coordinator. She still keeps the empty glass jar on her office desk as a pencil holder. Every single time I walk past her desk and see that jar, I remember my sleazy ex apologizing for sleeping with his coworker.

I lied to my in-laws about a food allergy four years ago and now I eat it in my car like a criminal

I have dug myself into a hole so deep that my only realistic option is taking this lie to my actual grave.

Four years ago, at my first Thanksgiving dinner with my husband's family, his mother served a slimy, grey mushroom casserole that looked like wet cement. When she tried to heap a third ladle onto my plate, I panicked. Instead of just saying I was full, I blurted out that I had recently developed an adult allergy to mushrooms.

she took it more seriously than anyone in medical history.

My mother-in-law literally bought dedicated wooden spoons that have never touched fungi. Every single holiday dinner has been rewritten to accommodate my fake medical condition. My husband treats it like a code red emergency. Whenever we go on a dinner date, he interrogates the server to make sure there is no cross-contamination.

The problem is that I don't hate mushrooms. I actually love them. I just hated that one specific grey abomination she cooked in 2022.

So now, once every few weeks, I tell my husband I have to run to Sephora or Target for essentials. I drive to a noodle bar two towns over, order extra sauteed shiitake mushrooms, and eat them in my parked car with the sun visor down. I chew strong peppermint gum and reapply my lip gloss so he doesn't smell garlic when he kisses me hello.

I should of just eaten the slop four years ago. It is completely RIDICULOUS. If my in-laws ever find out the truth, my marriage might not survive the embarrassment.

i finally left him

• Upvotes

i left today

i finally did it. after almost two years of dealing with toxicity, manipulation, narcissism, and so much control.

i've reached out for advice the past few months. everyone has begged me to leave. i finally bit the bullet.

i am in such an incredible amount of emotional pain. it hurts so so much. i am so disgustingly attached. he had me cut off all my friends and i have absolutely no one to go to. i feel so alone and it hurts so bad.

i know i did the right thing, and it only would've gotten worse and worse, as it already has. but it doesn't make it hurt any less. i don't know what to do with myself.

i can't stop throwing up. i can't stop crying. i feel so sick. i feel so alone

My neighbors dump their vacuumed stuff off the side of the porch.

They live upstairs from us and dump all their dog hair and dust from inside the house off the porch into the garden down below. So I get my shop vac and vacuum it all up and dump it on their stairs. I don't know why they don't just dump it in the garbage can like normal people would. Thankfully my porch below is screened in so it doesn't fall on my porch.

first time in public(crossdressing)

• Upvotes

After years of crossdressing I have finally come out to someone I know( my fiancé) she is incredibly supportive and encourages me. last weekend was another first for me, my first time being dressed in public, in which I knew people would see me, and not just the chance of someone seeing me, like is the case when I would drive around or go on hikes dressed. we went to a Halloween party that was a few towns over from us. it was an exhilarating and wonderful time. she picked out my outfit for me, a dark purple top and mini skirt, matching thong and heels. I felt so wonderfully slutty wandering around the venue dressed like I was. there was a few opportunities for some playing around , but unfortunately we didn't take any one up on their offers. I'm still alittle timid on that front at the moment. I'm sure there will be more opportunities in the future, especially since she seems very excited about helping me figure out my curiosities.

I judge parents of overweight kids

I judge the parents of overweight children. I look at these kids and think about how the parents are setting them up for health problems, trouble dating, and how they are ingraining bad habits that may last a lifetime.

It is very hard to try and help an overweight child become physically healthier. They obviously need to eat enough to continue developing, and you don’t want to cause mental health issues by making them feel bad about their bodies.

I don’t see out to be a judgmental person, but lately I’ve come to realize that I subconsciously judge people for all sorts of things.

I told a story about my older sister burning to death in a tree in front of firefighters and classmates.

I was in 1st grade, I told it to the firefighters who were visiting my school, in front of the class and everything. Several calls home were made offering condolences to my parents. And when I got home, my parents were quite pissed off.

I don't have an older sister. Nor did I know anybody who burned in a tree. The story was completely fabricated. I honestly don't recall what exactly compelled me to tell it, granted it was 20 years ago atp so my memory's foggy. The only possible reasons I can think of are the morbid curiosity that I've always had that sometimes translated to telling stories or making up scenarios, or I was just simply trying to imitate classmates who were telling tragic stories of their own. I'm autistic and it was especially apparent back then so my social skills and etiquette were nonexistent and it might've just been a confused way of trying to fit in.

It's one of those things that feels really fucked up in hindsight. Yeah I was 6 and didn't really know better but still, damn. I really told a fake story in front of firefighters and classmates who may well have experienced real loss.

My love for BBWs.

I’ve always been into bigger women, specifically the combination of soft tits, real curves, and a belly. That soft, full body just turns me on way more than anything else. The way it all feels and moves is exactly what I’m into.

Does anyone else feel the same about tits, curves, and belly?

I received a graphic video from a pageant queen in high school and I haven’t forgotten in nearly 8 years

I went to high school with a pageant queen. She was nice enough to me and we were good friends for awhile, but I knew she had her flaws as a human being. For example, she asked me if I would take her to prom my junior year so that she could be a person who went to prom all four years of high school (she was a year older than me). We didn’t end up going to prom and she went with someone else instead. I know this isn’t criminal behavior, but hopefully this helps you catch a general vibe. I was willing to brush this off at the time though because, to be honest, I was a bit of a pushover at that point in my life.

My senior year rolled around and her and I reasonably kept in touch while she started her first year at college. One day, she sent me a Snapchat message that just says, “wanna see a funny video?” “Sure,” I respond back. I open up Snapchat a couple minutes later to the video she sent me, which was a butt shitting out a gigantic log of poo into a toilet. Somehow, the camera was in the toilet giving a side-shot. Obviously, I lost my mind. I responded back in all caps with “WHAT THE FUCK?!” and “WHY THE FUCK WOULD YOU SEND ME THAT” She innocently responded that she thought it would be funny.

To this day, nearly 8 years later, I have not spoken to her. She is now grown and has made quite a name for herself in the area, which is great for her. Even though I have never forgotten about this video (the toilet was light blue), I haven’t had much of a reason to tell too many people this story until recently. I know, maybe not the best move in the world, but it’s pretty fun at parties. I told this story at a party once and one of the attendees was mutual friends with her for a period of time. When I told them this story, they couldn’t believe it. Apparently, this girl sent this to them on ACCIDENT, and followed it shortly after with “sorry, wrong person.“ The plot thickens. This leads me now to believe that she fully intended to send this video to me, and that made everything weirder. Later on, after thinking about all of this a bit more, I remembered that the video wasn’t sent in a purple box, but as a chat message (anyone who knows Snapchat understands this distinction). This may not have even been her butt. All this time, for all these years, I genuinely thought this shit came from her ass. I could have been wrong this whole time, but that opens up even MORE questions. Did someone send her the video and her reaction was, “man, I need to send this specifically to ‘OP’!” or, did she take the video in her actual camera app and then send it over? Whose butt did I watch shit into a toilet? I don’t know, but I don’t think I need or want to either.

Please do not replicate this with your own friends. Spoiler alert: they won’t find it funny.

There's sometthing about older men I find attractive

I've never really told anyone this, but I've always been drawn to older men. There's just something about the calm, the confidence, the way they carry themselves. There's a man at work he's older, married, and completely out of reach. I would never act on it, and I know nothing could ever happen. It's more in my head than anything else.

It's the little things. The way he talks to patients, how steady he is when everything is chaotic, the way he smells like coffee and cologne when he walks past the nurses station. When he asks me to help with something, I get nervous like I'm new again. I find myself looking forward to shifts when I know he's on.I know it's just a crush and it's not going anywhere. He's married and he's my senior at work, and I respect both of those boundaries. But I can't help the way my heart beats a little faster when he says my name.

I guess some fantasies are meant to stay fantasies.

I have used AI to cheat on my undergrad and I feel horrible

• Upvotes

I am an English major and classics minor and I’m in my 4th year now. I’m planning on taking a 5th. Throughout my first year I did not use AI at all- it was fairly new and people didn’t really understand much of the impacts. All of my friends used it, most of my peers, and all of my family. My father is a high school teacher and was very involved in using AI and would try to encourage me to use it to “help” with my schooling. My brother works in the AI coding industry and is very adamant about the “usefulness” of AI. In my first year I wrote a couple essays that got As, but when I didn’t get a good grade it would be because of my “syntax” or grammar issues. Once I got to the end of the first semester in my second year I felt devastated because I had worked so hard to fix my writing- and make it more acceptable- but I was still getting points docked for using passive voice and having some choppy sentences. I went to my parents about it and I was crying and saying that I couldn’t handle the stress of trying to fix these factors while I was also in language courses and dealing with some pretty intense mental health stuff from some life circumstances. That’s when my dad said something that changed the rest of my career— he said “just ask chatGPT to fix your syntax”. So I did that and I got a 90% on my essay. After that it was an addiction. My process would be to do all of my own research, write up a rough draft, and then have Gemini basically write my ideas out so it is coherent. That process has gotten me a 3.7 GPA and a whole lot of insecurity. I have written pieces up and didn’t use AI at all and have done decently, but that doesn’t make up for the way I have abused AI already.

My issue is that if I stop doing it then I will risk my grades dropping and my future career would be compromised. I really don’t enjoy studying English, but I am stuck in the major because of financial restraints and the fact that I wanted to change majors too late after I could get the requirements in another field. I feel very confident in researching and forming ideas, but my writing is compromised. The guilt is eating me up inside but I also feel terrified to stop relying on something that carried me through my undergrad. Morality and game theory are clashing in my mind and I just don’t know how to cope. I’m planning on quitting using AI completely but I don’t know how that will change anything that has already happened— especially if my grades drop dramatically. My confidence was completely shot before I started using AI and now it’s even worse. I also don’t know what my parents would say if my grades started dropping because that is a big deal for them (they consider anything under a B+ to be subpar). I know what I have done is cheating and it is wrong. It’s plagiarism. I just don’t know what to do at this point. I feel like a horrible person- I also feel like I am stuck between a rock and a hard place. What can I do?
I’m worried that this secret that I have been keeping is something that would genuinely change people’s conception of me. I’m worried that it is grounds for expulsion. I’m worried that the mistakes I have made will live with me for the rest of my life. I haven’t had the guts to confess to anyone that I know would be abrasive to this and that’s a big sign it needs to stop. Would I be a liar if I stopped now? Am I a liar for doing what I’ve done for 2 years now? I just keep getting such polarizing responses- it’s either “AI is the future and a tool to use to get ahead” or “if you use AI you’re a cheater and if you don’t disclose it then you’re a dishonest crook” . Maybe it’s somewhere in between. I just want this off of my chest.

I slept with my father’s coworker

I turned 18 five months ago and my father took me and my siblings out for dinner, his friend/coworker happened to be there and at the moment I genuinely thought nothing and made the usual small talk, he’s around the same age as my father (early 40s) so I didn’t even comprehend him as someone who I could be interested in ofc.

Two weeks later I’m deciding between universities and my father must’ve told his friends the same so his friend called me up and told me about his Alma mater which I was considering and the talk ended up lasting for 45 minutes, I won’t lie I was definitely flirting by the end of it. We began texting for like a month and made plans, he met up for dinner and we hooked up.

I feel awful about it and feel like I’m doing something bad to my father if that makes sense. My parents were strict with me even dating so obviously I haven’t told them this but I feel like I need to. (I probably won’t) I also want to hook up with him again and it’s so confusing.

I have a thing for my coworker

• Upvotes

Guys…..I know…..it’s the October canon event. And I have fallen victim (again).

I (24F) started a new job recently and have worked multiple shifts w let’s call him J (22M). J and I have kinda bonded since day one, I followed him on socials and he messaged me immediately. We have basically been messaging consistently since we first met, whether it’s small talk or whatever. Last week we had to go on a work trip together, we ended up going out, getting some drinks and having a nice dinner and spending a good chunk of the night together. I was a bit tipsy and we were definitely quite friendly, I think we both had lots of fun. We parted ways pretty early in the night, but kept messaging all night from our own beds.

Now here’s the bad part, he has a lady. And this lady has been IN the picture for a while. I’ve never met her, heard her name, anything. I just know she exists but that’s about all I’ve heard about her. The night that we went for dinner, we stayed in the same hotel but different rooms. His girlfriend was calling him asking to see his hotel room and heavily questioning him. He told me about this in the moment and emphasized the fact that she NEVER does this when he’s away for work.

Now I can assume the reason she was like this was because of me, and I get it. I’m not here to be a home wrecker. For me this is a harmless crush, but I actually cannot tell if I’m reading into this WAYYYYY too far or if it’s lowkey mutual.

Do I really know where this confession is going? Nope! But I do know that I def have a schoolgirl crush on him and I need yall to tell me I’m being dumb and that there’s no way he has a crush on me.

Watched Movie, but slept in our room

So, this happens a year ago. We were working in an outstation place, as a team of boys and girls and I was close to a girl whom I knew since college days and we were allocated to the same projects, but belonged to different offices.

So being outstation work, the clients provided us a guesthouse, in which ground floor had room for boys and 1st floor had room for the girls.
This girl used to hangout with me and my roomie post office hours, we used to watch movies.
So casually I asked her to rest and sleep in our room itself.
now comes the part, i never thought I did.
When I sleep, I go to deep sleep mode, remember nothing, no disturbance
I happend to hug nd cuddle her over sleep, and apparently she asked me somethin, and I said that "I am lonely" is what she said next day morning.
I was super embarrased, when she laughed about it and asked what did I even do.
no feelings caught, she sees me as a friend and so do I.
I apologised.
then couple days later, she slept in our room, after a movie and I was like...I'll sleep on bed
but later I took the pillows, made a small bed on the floor and slept there to avoid any issues.
late night, she noticed it and asked me to come over to the bed nd take a nap.
luckily i slept on my own.
cut down to a month, few days before work was getting done with.
my roomie got more attached to another girl from team, and started coming late from office with her, you may question why we go to same office but come at diff timings, its because we get allocated to different areas and have diff meetings.
So this guy wld come late, and sleep at the girls room on the floor, talkin to her.
I wld wait in my room and sleep by myself, and towards the end, my friend invited me the girls room,
stating why shld I sleep alone if my roomie is also sleeping over here. and she will sleep on the cot, ill put a bed on the floor nd sleep next to her cot.
second last day, she chose to sleep next to me on my bed and said "if you wanna hug and sleep, it's okay". It was nice, and cozy....
but idk what to feel abt it. We never spoke of it after all these and since we came back, we both busy with our works, and never met since.

I'm horny almost all the time and really want to have sex

Not gonna lie, I have been feeling horny almost all the time lately. I keep thinking about sex and really want to experience it. Sometimes it's hard to stop thinking about it.

Is anyone else going through the same thing???
