I bought this plant from my local grocery chain a number of weeks ago and I haven’t been able to figure out what it is - to be able to search for the right care tips. The iPhone photo plant identification says it’s some type of dracaena but that doesn’t seem right?? I can’t find the exact type by the way this one looks. Anyone know what this one is? It’s tips keep dying/drying off and now has a new leaf that is growing a “scar” in a way? [pic 3 & 4]
Like the leaf before it. Any tips appreciated :-)

Help Monstera care?

I picked this up for cheap on FB but don’t know much about caring for it. A few questions for now:

It tipped over and lost a bunch of soil so needs repotting. Should I go larger, if so how big?

Do I do anything with the “air roots” coming off the stem or just leave them?

It has one large leaf with damage and a small one with a big brown spot. Should I remove those, or leave them?

Tia!

Hey guys I just wanted to ask if anyone knows any good online shops that are available in Germany for TCs and aren't expensive especially shipping because I would really like to get into TCs I think for me that would be fun but I either only find ones with super expensive shipping or the plants themselves are way too overpriced like I saw a monster just a regular monstera deliciosa for 40€?!

Help When/how do I water my air plant? I am new to air plants

I bought her 2 days ago. I never had own an air plant before. I should have bought a smaller one to begin with. I saw people suggesting to submerge this plant in water and let it soak up for 30 minutes . Others have said to soak it only 10 minutes. Afterwards, let it upside down to prevent crown rot in a well ventilated area for a few hours. However, I’ve also came across people saying to not submerge the plant and just mist it.

I also have no idea when to water her. I’ve read somewhere that if the leaves curl, it means they are thirsty. But it seems like this type of airplantal already has natural curls. So how can I tell 😭.

Also, I believe she was JUST watered when I first got her (2 days ago). She had water in her leaves, so I left her drying upside down when we were back at home for the entire day.

At night time, I just put her next to my humidifier and then put her back on the shelf in front of the window

Currently debating on pulling the trigger for this light, instead of converting my Barrina T10 to a hanging fixture for my metal shelf- I also wanted to humor the idea of finding a hidden gem on Temu.

Would like to know if anyone has these or any similar recs on Temu?

I assumed a monstera but I'm not even sure anymore. Rescued from the trash about four months ago, finally growing healthier looking leaves but looking to replant and properly care for it once I know what it is 😅

Do I leave the dead looking ones? I know they need support if it's a true monstera

Help Can I save my fittonia? :(

I've had the plant for a few months now. As it grew big, I noticed that i needed to water it more often. This time, I overestimated it thinking it could survive for a while (was busy) forgot to check and now it looks like this. I'm not sure when I last watered it but I think it was a week and a half ago.

The pot has drainage and I have already bottom watered it. I usually place it on a window that doesn't really get direct sunlight, but I've placed it away from the window for now since it's sick.

Most of the leaves are crispy, but there are some that are still soft. The stems are also hard on the bottom but the top parts have shrunk.

Is this root rot? I just noticed that this plant is leaning pretty hard.

It seemed to be reaching for the light. I usually rotate the position from time to time. And then today I noticed it couldn’t stand up.

I don’t know how long it’s been like this. It might’ve been leaning against another plant.

My plant has been dropping leaves consistently and is starting to get bare. I water it 2-3 times a week and have tried moving it around the house. I really don't have a good, sunny spot to put it. What can I do? Do I need to cut it down?

I’ve had thrips and fungus gnats before but not seen this. Are these spider mite eggs? Something else? 🤞🏼 I do not want to have to go nuclear with neem oil (I am lazy)

Plant ID How do I know if I don’t have thrips anymore ?

So I noticed thrips on two of my plants on October 2nd. Some larvae on one plant and adult thrip on a different plant. Four plants were sitting together so I quarantined and treated them all. Removed the top layer of soil and replaced it. I used systematic granules in all the plants and have been spraying them with insecticidal soap and neem oil regularly.

I’ve been checking on them daily and haven’t noticed any larvae or adult thrips since. The first 3 pics are the infected leaf which looked pretty bad. The fourth picture is the newest leaf that came out. There’s been no sign of thrips since that I’ve seen. I’m not sure when I can put them back together or if I should keep them separated to be save. Any ideas??

(Last pic is of the 4 plants quarantine locations)

Help Would this wooden bowl work as a cover pot?

Post image

Thinking about putting a nursery pot inside this wooden bowl instead of planting directly in it. It would sit near an east-facing window with indirect light.

Would you go with something trailing like a pothos or something upright? I’m also worried about moisture damaging the wood.

I got a set of plants off some guy for 60 bucks.. 1 of them being this fairly large BOP that was glorious at one point until he had his first kid and couldn’t care for it as well as he used to.. when I got it, it was wilted but because I have another plant of the same type that’s been doing pretty well I figured it should be no issue.. he said he repotted it and also split the plant I guess to try and propagate (not sure why)

After repotting he watered it and it stayed wilted so he wasn’t sure why—over watering was his best guess

Based on that info I haven’t watered it especially as the soil felt damp/cool to the touch and figured I’d give it time.. now it’s been two months and I didn’t give any water.. it’s looked basically the same.. my mom watered it today .. idk what’s wrong idk if maybe I should change the soil now or what but I really don’t want it to die.. maybe it’s already dead I hope

I’ll have photos of when I first got it and of it now (the hallway image is from day received)

Any questions I’ll try to answer but whatever you guys think I’ll do I’m just at a loss 😔

And is there any significance to the soil being different from the one by my window? Could that be a contributing factor

Noobie here. Got this aglaonema a couple months back. Was doing okay. Sprouted 3 new leaves. Now, recently, this has started to happen. Some leaves cut off at the edge. Some with soft wet brownish/yellow edges. And some leaves are completely yellow

Searched online. Thought overwatering. But i only water around once a week. That too after checking moisture using a chopstick

Someone please help. This was a gift and i dont want it to die

Help How to save her?

I got this Pilea one a few months back and let's just say - she lived through better days. She was full and nice, but then started browning and getting crispy - honestly not sure if it was too wet or not enough water, life got busy and there were some things that had to be solved. Now I finally got to her and - what can I do? Should I try to keep watering her as usual? Or propping is the way? How should I cut her?

I've had many plants for years, but I'm honestly not sure how to go about this one

It has been on a very slow decline for about 6 months now, just slowly loosing branches no matter how much sun and water i give it.

In its old pot and soil it just kinda stagnated but green and healthy, about 1 1/2 years ago i changed the soil and the pot to about 1/3 larger and it seem happy and and slow consistent growth.

Help Speckling on White Bird of Paradise

Thumbnail

Came home one day to notice two leaves of my WBOP fully speckled, and now another leaf shows indications of it on the edge, and another by a split. What causes are for this? I water only when the first 1-2” of the soil are dry, it’s been so infrequent lately as the temps have dipped, and when I do water, I give it a thorough watering. I haven’t seen pests but can look more closely.

Thanks for the help in advance!

Help with the house debate. My roommate says her snake plant fell over a year ago and she salvaged a couple leaves that grew into this. Google search says this is a Clivia. What do you think?

Hi guys 👋🏼

During the past few weeks my succulent has gotten a lot of white stuff on it. I’ve also noticed very small white flies, so my thought is that it has become some sort of fly colony. Anybody who’s got a better idea of what’s going on? And hopefully a solution 🙏🏼

I was given this plant by a family member and she doesn’t know what it is either. She said she waters it about twice a month. The leaves are a bit thin.

Are these thrips, or are they one of the many beneficial bugs I've released in the past couple weeks?

I'm panicking 😅

The plant I found them on does not appear to have any damage.. so I'm feeling pretty conflicted.

I released:

Andersonii

Californicus

Fallacis

green lacewings

Crazee mites
