Power Rankings Official r/NFL Week 7 Power Rankings
It's week 7, which is very exciting if your favorite number is 7 or if you are a fan of one of the NFL teams who won this past week. If not? Well, then come commiserate with your team's blurb writer and ranker, and argue to your heart's content that your 2-5 team is better than their 2-5 team.
29/32 Reporting · Rankings by Voter
| Rank | Team | Δ | Record | Comment |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | 49ers | -- | 6-1 | Lets get the injury talk out of the way. Yes, Jordan Watkins was the leading WR in this game with 3 receptions (career total now 8) and 56 yards (career total now 164). Yes, CMC left the game with an injury (returned later in the game) causing Kaelon Black to be the 49ers leading rusher on the day. The D line's injuries are well documented. Now that is out of the way, let me make this clear: Injuries were not the reason this game was lost. The team simply played like shit. The offense coughed up the ball 4 times and the defense committed drive extending penalty after drive extending penalty. This was a winnable game and the team did not execute. Heading into the bye week, current injury updates state Bosa "could return", Evans and Deebo are "expected to return" week 9. |
| 2 | Bills | +1 | 5-1 | The Bills needed that bye week to heal up some players. Dj Moore and Ed Oliver, 2 of the most impactful players on different sides of the ball, are looking to utilize the extra week to head into the second half of the season fully rested. The Patriots and Chiefs both lost during the week off helping the Bills early playoff picture look a little more clear. Next up the Bills have a tough matchup with the Ravens who will need Lamar to return in order to keep up with the firepower of this Bills offense. |
| 3 | Vikings | +1 | 6-0 | Another week, another excruciating dub baby. |
| 4 | Chiefs | -2 | 5-1 | HarrASSon Cutker. The Chiefs could have been down 9-13 with plenty of time in the game if they had an NFL kicker. Unfortunately, they have the worst kicker in the league over the last two seasons. If Butker suits up again for my beloved Kansas City Chiefs, I’m gonna become the Joker. I must acknowledge however: Harrison is not the sole reason we lost this game. We were atrocious in high leverage moments. Worthy with the drop on a crosser in the 4th. Travis with the drop on 3rd down on the last gasp drive of the game. The offense hasn’t looked this pathetic since… actually more recently than I’d like to admit, but not this year. And the defense. What to even say about the defense. First off: Mansoor played well. Only one of his two big catches to JSN was a bad play on his part. And honestly, after the first one it’s kinda on Spags for not realizing JSN is one of them ones and going to a two high shell earlier. Overall, the defense actually played well. They, like the offense, just kept giving up plays in high leverage moments. At one point, Seattle was 7/9 on third down. Most of those weren’t easy conversions. They were just executing better than us. Ultimately, an uninspired performance top to bottom. Just embarrassing stuff. Hope the team feels the same and rights the ship next week. |
| 5 | Seahawks | +3 | 4-3 | Isn't it crazy how quickly things change? I mean, who could even KNOW exactly how we felt even, say...... 7 days ago? Anyway, the Seahawks are BACK baby. After 2 months of "how could the seahawks let KEN WALKER go in free agency? He was the Super Bowl MVP!" it did feel nice to shut down not only K9, but the entire Chiefs offense. There are all kinds of stats that point to Sunday night being the worst game of the Mahomes era, but my favorite has to be the fact the the Chiefs never had a drive reach the redzone. It is the only times Mahomes has failed to have a drive reach the redzone. The defense is one of the biggest strengths in all of football. They didn't even stack the box to shut down the run; they just shut it down. And JSN did what JSN does: go for 100+ and a touchdown. The man is inevitable. He is somehow outpacing his incredible OPOY season last year. The Seahawks are ALL THE WAY back. Oh, and welcome to Seattle Quenton Nelson! |
| 6 | Jaguars | -1 | 4-2 | |
| 7 | Broncos | -1 | 5-2 | What we had hoped would be a get right game for us ended up being exactly that. Nix & Co got in some break out runs and the entire offense looked like it never felt the woes of weeks prior. The entire game you could feel fans injecting hope into their veins, chanting "Bolieve" to the tune of the season. Is it still too early to call whether we will go all the way? Absolutely. Will we start telling everyone that we are gonna win the superbowl? You're goddamn right. |
| 8 | Bears | +1 | 5-2 | The Bears wrapped up their third game in 10 days with a big win against the reigning AFC Champs. Yours truly just so happened to make the trip to this game, which was the craziest ticket situation I’ve ever experienced. Even at kickoff the get-in price was around $1200. It’s hard for any game to live up to those prices, but it was a good one. Absolutely perfect fall Chicago weather, Da Coach was honored with a moment of silence & free mustaches in our first home game since Mike Ditka’s passing. Luther Burden III made play after play, Rome Odunze made a couple big ones, and Cairo Santos nailed a career-long 58 yarder to ice it after doinking a 53 yarder just prior. The “bitter” to Thursday’s sweet victory was losing Cole Kmet for the season to a knee injury. 85 is the longest tenured Bear on this roster, rookie Sam Roush will have to step up in Ben Johnson’s TE-heavy offense. The defense bounced back in a big way this week vs Atlanta & New England after getting embarrassed at Lambeau. They get suspended Montez Sweat back just in time to head to Seattle next week on MNF, in a game that should tell us a lot about how legit this team is. We haven’t lost yet in a game Caleb finished, but against that Seahawks unit, nothing is promised. We moved into 2nd in a division that boasts 4 “playoff teams” for the third week in a row, if only the Vikings would lose a game… |
| 9 | Bengals | +2 | 4-2 | |
| 10 | Lions | +2 | 4-2 | The amount of times the Lions and their fans have heard "Good teams don't put the game into the refs' hands" after shitty ref calls directly handed wins to opposing teams over this entire century has been unreal. Was it an ugly win? Yep. A brutal game? Obviously. A game that by all rights Detroit should have lost a half dozen times or more? No doubt. Should I have any sympathy at all for the way it went? Nope. None. Not a single drop. Maybe do more to push fixing the fucking officiating in this league any time bad calls happen, no matter who benefits, instead of blaming the teams on the field for getting boned, and then we won't have to keep having these conversations. PS: Welcome back, Branch! |
| 11 | Patriots | -1 | 4-3 | So, I’m usually kind of a doomer after Patriots losses, but this week it really feels hard to be upset. Sure, the loss hurts, and with plenty of “difficult” games left on their schedule New England can’t afford to be dropping winnable games. On the other hand, this was a Thursday night game that was actually EXCITING. The Pats went to Chicago on a short week, riddled with injuries on both sides of the ball, and played a close game that could’ve been won if the Bears kicker didn’t hit his career long field goal to essentially end the contest. Caleb Williams and Drake Maye were both electric, and I expect them to both occupy spots in top five lists for the next decade or so. If AJ Brown remembers how to play football and a few offensive linemen get healthy, this team should be able to compete with anyone else in the AFC. Next up, a potential get-right game against Miami. |
| 12 | Ravens | -5 | 4-3 | The Baltimore Ravens are so mentally weak that any double-digit lead against a division opponent (or in any game that actually matters) should just be penciled in as a loss. At this rate, my kids' college tuition will be fully funded by betting against this team's limp dick pass rush, Houdini act rushing attack, and Marlon Humphrey's weekly charitable donations of 40-yard completions. In Lamar's absence, our all-world running back is putting up ~60 yards a game on a paltry ~3.5 YPC. Speaking of Lamar's absence, we've got an entirely new coaching staff and we're still doing the "day-to-day" bullshit for a month at a time while Lamar misses a pivotal chunk of the season for the fourth time in six years. Most Ravens fans went into Sunday fully expecting a loss, and somehow this team still managed to find a way to make it more infuriating than anyone imagined. It's fitting that the Ravens GM's initials are ED, because the team he's built plays soft, can't get up for big moments, and can't finish when it matters. Fuck this team, see y'all next week. |
| 13 | Steelers | +3 | 5-2 | It’s official; Pittsburgh has done the unthinkable. Beating two teams who, on paper, the team should beat. In back to back weeks. Like the Mike Tomlin Steelers, the 2026 Steelers made both games very close. Unlike the Mike Tomlin Steelers they actually won both games. No Steelering this time. Dumb penalties, taking a sack when you absolutely cannot take a sack, and ill-timed drops kept the Saints in it until the final drive when A-Aron showed everyone that a 42-year old quarterback can sometimes still merit a spy. A 37 yard FG by Boswell would’ve put the team up by 9, but the Saints wanted to go home early and an offsides penalty gave Pittsburgh a first down and the ability to assume the victory formation for a couple of kneel-downs. Is this the part where we all start to hope again so that we can have those very hopes crushed late in the season? Or is it too early in the year for that? Riding a 3 game winning streak the team is about to find out what they’re made of in a rematch vs. the Browns, this time in Pittsburgh. Looking at a Bye week after the Browns…there’s only a handful of “good” teams left on the schedule; the Bengals, Broncos, Jaguars, and Baltimore twice. Have to assume Lamar will be over his yearly injury bug by that point since our first Ravens-Steelers game is right before Christmas. Is it ever truly too early to start eyeballing that first-round playoff loss? |
| 14 | Rams | +1 | 3-4 | The Rams kept their season alive by taking care of business against the Raiders. Stafford, Puka, and the run game were dominant, though concerns about properly maintaining a lead and closing out games still seem legitimate, as two second-half turnovers kept Las Vegas around. Nonetheless, the Rams looked like themselves again—they just need to keep it up. |
| 15 | Packers | -2 | 4-3 | I love watching the Milwaukee Brewers. They do all the little things right. Like, last night they had the bases loaded 2 outs, with William Contreras at the plate. Contreras hits a hard ground ball at the third baseman, who tries going to 2nd for the forceout, but Christian Yelich beats the play and everyone is safe. With the right-handed Contreras, Yelich knows the defense is shifted towards the left, meaning the first baseman is playing more off the bag, which allows him to take a bigger lead. With 2 outs, he's running on contact and absolutely booking it to the base. These small details allows Yelich to beat the throw by inches, plate a run, keep the offense up to bat, and sparkplug a 2 out rally for 7 more runs to blow this game out of the water. Meanwhile, the Packers lead the league in drops, make dumb penalties in crucial moments, and continually fail to improve the kicking game year after year. I'm really happy the Brewers exist to give the people of Wisconsin a palate cleanser of good, clean, sports play after wanting to tear our hairs out watching the Packers last night |
| 16 | Browns | +2 | 5-2 | Breaking: The Browns have an absolutely friggin tone deaf social media team. What else can be said? The Browns are winning. Who would have thought? They fact the Steelers next week in a AFC North matchup that could send them to the top of the division. |
| 17 | Panthers | -3 | 3-3 | Panthers gave up 59 points in Week 1 and this Week 7 was by far a more embarrassing performance while hosting the Bucs. When I say nothing was going well, I mean literally NOTHING was going well. Defense couldn’t stop the very limited offense Baker and the boys were running. Bucs would run or throw short but you would have thought they were running the most complex sets and routes that have ever been drawn up. Bakers hand is clearly not 100% but Everos great “scheme” we continue to stand behind appears to not do shit again. On top of the defense being Swiss cheese, the offense couldn’t get anything going. Constant pressure on Bryce, multiple INTs, and a nice strip sack scoop and score may make you want to do negative things, hypothetically of course. On top of that, Taylor Moton, who had just returned, broke his leg. Wow. The only semi bright spot was Chubba’s will to not be a fucking idiot but he couldn’t save the team today. A joke of a performance so the league can view us as an embarrassment once again. I had to turn the game off IN THE THIRD QUARTER. I don’t know the last time I haven’t watched an entire game. Fucking terrible and massive disappointment to say the least. The Panthers travel to Green Bay to face the Packers on a short week for Thursday Night Football. Nobody seems to be talking about it but it’s really odd that the Panthers beat the Packers in Lambeau last season and get rewarded by having to go back to Lambeau again. Interesting but I digress. Hopefully the team can forget about this piss poor performance and put together some actual football to beat this Packer team also coming off a loss. What a waste of a Sunday afternoon. Keep Pounding. |
| 18 | Falcons | +2 | 3-4 | From the perspective of the losers, this was a sloppy game in which the injury-riddled 49ers beat themselves. From the perspective of the Dwight Schrute Army of ATLiens, the win was proof of finding a way™. By the start of the second, the Falcons were down 14-3, staring at the ghosts of Chokemas past stating at the jumbotron. 48 plays and 3 Penix touchdowns later, the Falcons had scored 23 unanswered as Kyle Shanahan gently lifted Raheem up by the scruff and placed him back in his carrier. The four turnovers were uncharacteristic, but not flukes. Kittle and Kaelon both got peanut punched, while not even Purdy could expect rookie Kendall Daniels to tip a pass to himself a week after a potential career ending injury. Let's see how well the pistol works for the red hot Buccaneers next week. |
| 19 | Giants | +4 | 4-2-1 | McCarthy mania is in full swing in Giants fandom, sample size be damned. Despite arriving to the team less than a month ago, JJ has already looked the part of a starting QB and has a clearly established connection with Malik Nabers. No passing touchdown? No problem. Instead, each of the Giants’ three runningbacks scored a rushing TD. The week after Harbaugh was criticized for benching Cam Skattebo, Skatt had by far his best game of the year as the entire rushing attack performed well. And how about this passing defense? Deonte Banks holding Nico Collins to just two completions for a whopping five yards is nothing short of impressive. Now, a player the fanbase was ready to write off after multiple disappointing years of CB play has established himself as a legitimately good starter in this defense. Despite the injuries, the Giants keep finding ways to win football games. This Harbaugh-led team has a fight and a discipline that feels unlike anything that was present under Brian Daboll. Now, Big Blue gets a bye week to get healthy before they face an Eagles team that also lost their starting QB to season-ending injury. |
| 20 | Cowboys | +1 | 3-4 | Don't Do That. Don't Give Me Hope. |
| 21 | Raiders | -4 | 3-4 | I for one would like to not play Superbowl contenders every week and would instead like to play teams we can beat. |
| 22 | Texans | -3 | 2-5 | I don't even know what's more frustrating. Another game with double digit penalties or the absolute lack of tackling by a defense that was supposed to be among the greatest ever assembled. This is a 2-5 team that plays like a 2-5 team. Every seat on Kirby Dr. from Nick Caserio to all of his buddies from John Carroll should be on fire at this point. |
| 23 | Buccaneers | +6 | 2-5 | A type of a Buccaneers game where "You Kancey Everything" - blocked extra points, muffed returns, INTs, fumbles, defensive scores, and lots and lots of great runs. We saw a bit of everything! So, surely I am going to be positive? Nope. This makes me even more disappointed that we had Bowles for the last few years. This is a game that proves the talent this team has, and it's wasted on a subpar head coach like Todd. "Yay, we dominated a game and we are 2-5".... and I am supposed to be excited? I know this division is dogshit, but I don't think the winner of it would have an 8-9 record. So, that means for us to maaaaaaybe win the division, we'd have to: Basically sweep the division (which almost never happens) and we'd have to beat playoffs/SuperBowl caliber teams like: Bears, Lions, Rams, and Ravens. Oh, and we also have to face the Chargers, in what may end up being their first win of the season. ...i just can't be an optimist, man. We'd need to be 10-5 before I start to think "Eh... maybe we can make the playoffs?" - Until then, every week is a reminder of what might've been. |
| 24 | Eagles | -2 | 2-5 | There really isn't much to say about this football team. The wheels are falling off the bus, and fans are trying to apportion blame between the milquetoast offensive scheme, the plethora of injuries, and now the underachieving defense. But does it matter? The Eagles are not a very good football team and are not winning close games, and that is probably a better thing than being bad and winning in spite of it. After this trio of divisional games, fans could be looking down the barrel at a top 5 pick. Will Sirianni survive it? That's a question for another meaningless post-loss blurb. |
| 25 | Saints | -1 | 2-5 | c’est les ténèbres |
| 26 | Colts | -1 | 2-5 | Daniel Jones' 2.6 yards per dropback against Minnesota were worse than all but one qualified QB performance this season (Jalen Hurts vs. LAR). It's hard to believe Anthony Richardson couldn't give the offense more of a spark at this point. |
| 27 | Cardinals | -1 | 2-5 | I continue to beat a dead horse, but I cannot believe that we are being asked to watch Jacboy Brissett play QB week after week with how he's playing. Not sure if HC Mike LaFleur is being held hostage by ownership, or if he's trying to lose fans, but the only way to get anyone to invest back into this franchise will be through starting Carson Beck. Spanning back a few weeks, the Cardinals went a genuine 11 quarters without scoring a non garbage time TD. Can't keep running it back with that Mike. Enough is enough. |
| 28 | Commanders | -- | 1-4-1 | Few things can go wrong in the bye week for a team that's already at the bottom of their division. The bye saw the Giants pulling 3 games ahead of the Commanders, the Cowboys looking somewhat offensively competent, and the Eagles looking ready to fight for last place. Maybe the bye also saw the Commanders get a little healthier and the two first year coordinators get themselves a little more squared away. Coming up is a run of winnable games for Washington that could see the season salvaged if it goes well; otherwise, the logo can get faded. The season has been ill-fated from the jump with injuries, the latest of which sees Terry McLaurin done for the year. A rational fan knows this team isn't going to make waves across the league or make a deep playoff run, but the optimists hope to see the young team start to pull itself together into a professional outfit over the remainder of the season. Who are the Commanders going to be? We'll get our next hint this Sunday night when the similarly injured and lost-without-a-paddle Eagles come to town for round 2. |
| 29 | Jets | -2 | 2-5 | Jets fans need to reframe how they think about this season. Aaron Glenn is the worst head coach in the league, and he finds new ways to prove it almost every week. But there's plenty of reason for optimism. The Jets have a ton of young talent on offense, and they'll likely enter the offseason with a head coaching vacancy, three first-round picks (two of which could easily be in the top 10, if not the top five), and the opportunity to draft a franchise QB. That's a pretty attractive situation for an offensive-minded head coach who wants to develop his own quarterback and build around a promising young core. In the meantime, forget the wins and losses and enjoy watching the young talent break out. |
| 30 | Dolphins | +1 | 1-5 | It's so satisfying that our first win of the season came against none other than the J-E-S-T JEST JEST JEST! The win was a huge sigh of relief for many as despite the team showing progress each week, some of the fanbase was legitimately concerned about 0-17. Honestly it felt like we were going to blow it for a lot of the second half but fortunately we were facing the Jets who we have absolutely owned for most of this decade. Who would've thought the Dolphins would have more wins than the LA Chargers and Miami Heat combined at this point of the season? |
| 31 | Titans | -1 | 1-6 | The Titans played an away game in Nashville on Sunday and wrapped up the longest streak of non-consecutive wins in NFL history. With either a win or loss next week (I think we know what it will be) the Titans will go to 66 games without consecutive wins, passing the Browns record of 65 from 2018. |

[Yates] A sneaky winner of the Quenton Nelson trade to Seattle? The New York Jets. The Nelson trade could be the first of multiple trades the Colts make for their quality veteran players as they look towards the future. And as this progresses, the Jets own the Colts' 2027 first round pick.
bsky.appPuka Nacua now holds the record for most receiving yards(4,845 yds) and the most catches(357 catches) in a players first 50 career games. Passing Justin Jefferson(4,825 yds) and Micheal Thomas(348 catches). He will play in his 50th game this Sunday vs LAC.

George Kittle has entered the top 10 list surpassing Rob Gronkowski for 10th in the All Time TE receptions.
statmuse.comNot Kittles finest hour this past weekend vs the Falcons but nonetheless he recorded 8 out of 10 receptions now putting him the top 10 list of TE receptions surpassing Rob Gronkowski. Also worth noting if Kittle stays healthy he could potentially enter the top 5 in about 3 seasons. Kittle is currently 33 years old. This season he's already recorded 34 receptions and is on pace to make 82.5 receptions. He would need 33 receptions to equal Ozzie Newsome and move into the 9th spot.
