I've just started doing pantheon 5 and my charm load out is unbreakable strength unbreakable heart quick slash and quick focus and on my first attempt I made it to sisters of battle then on my best attempt which was latest I made it to winged nosk

I've been stuck on this boss for so long..

I gotten to the last stage before my controller died and fell to my death.

So I have never played silksong but am interested, I am about one third to halfway though HK I believe. Anyway, I saw that one can do some sort of parry thing? "Stich-blablabla" whatever its called so when one strikes at the same time the other one strikes they take damage or something. I am wondering is that something to try to learn, is it useful in HK beyond looking cool (I am not at all interested in doing cool stuff or speedrunning or something, just want to play the game)

So summery of the question: is it worth learning parrying in HK or wait until I play Silksong

It took me like 18 hrs because for some reason I thought soul tyrant and the collector give a percent, and also I spent like an hour on white palace just to get half of 1%

Hollow knight might still be the game I like more. I only recently got into hk (like a couple months before silksong) so there’s no nostalgia factor. The vibes and feel of the original game with the music are unmatched. There are obviously some improvement in silksongs general gameplay, but it doesn’t hit the same for me. Both great games, but I lean towards the og. Is that an unpopular opinion among people who’ve played both or generally agreed upon?

It’s my 2nd ever playthrough of Hollow Knight and I finally got the much sought after 112% completion after finally beating The Radiance for the first time. I loved the ending and as with all games finishing one is bittersweet, I’m happy I did it but I’ll miss Hallownest and my lil Ghost but I’m looking forward to carrying on Hornet’s story in Silksong soon. Who knows maybe one day I will come back to take my place at the peak of Hallownest.

Better question, is it worth it? I've never attempted it before, but have thouroughly finished both hollow knight and silksong. I was doing godhome stuff recently but now I'm not sure what to do

First All binding Pantheon for me. and boy did I underestimate the difficulty of bindings.
The Biggest nerf is definitely soul as you can't really multi heal or spam spells. otherwise, it's pretty chill

This is Bellator he is named after the Latin word for Warrior he was a strong warrior that lived in hallownest who used Plasmium (lifeblood) to give himself immortality he was exiled by the pale king for using this substance and later returns to hallownest after the fall of the kingdom from the Radiance in his lore he explores the kingdom and eventually finds himself at the lifeblood gate in the abyss and enters it only to be completely consumed by the lifeblood hidden within taking his life and using him as a husk

so.. recently got my first 100%completion blind. now i thought id get into speedrunning. im at a decent pace, all the movement abilities and some other things in 3hr15m. butttt now its time for the dreamers. this time im going in the watcher knights fight with wayy less health and charms. any tips or recommendations? last time i just brute forced it and have tried that right here too but doesnt work.. thanks!

Hallownest was a really advanced civilization if we look closely. Besides there are a few things of them that seem to be more medieval (like the fact that the city guardians use nails and spears to attack), there are other that show us that the pale king's empire had advanced technology. One of the most compelling evidences that we see of this is in crystal peak. We can notice, all over the area, different types of machines and mechanisms such as conveyor belts, rock compressors, and laser beams (though the latter might perhaps just be a natural property of the crystals themselves).

And when arriving to the end of the zone, we discover a kind of workshop with some huge robots in it. If we read the description of the crystal heart, we can see that these very robots are, in fact, creations of the inhabitants of Hallownest, used for mining.

Hallownest was a very technologycal developed civilization, and I would even go so far as to say that these mining golems could rival the Chorus of Pharloom.

I'm making some progress on Nightmare Grimm but for the life of me I can't figure out a time to heal because he moves so quickly.

So I was playing hollow knight (it's my first playthrough but I'm the type that searches up spoilers until I know the entire gist of the game), and I was doing the trial of the fool. I'm not doing bad, I'm improving each time I try. I have 8 masks, two extra soul things, and I have 2 spells, both upgraded, all three nail arts. I have most charms too. The charm set I'm using is: Steady body, Dream Wielder, Unbreakable strength, Shaman stone, Unbreakable Heart. I'm using steady body to fill in the extra notch space, Unbreakable heart because I'm a survivor type player, Unbreakable strength because it's good in general, Shaman stone so I can 1 shot that damn primal aspid, and dream wielder because that shit has been carrying me in all three trials. Anyway I wanted to ask your opinion on this build for trial of the fool, and if you have any tips, though I'm sure I can get past if I try a few more times (6 tries so far).

Hey yall, I'm setting my with on Hollow Knight (late to the party ik) and wondering whether to pick it up on PS5 or Switch Oled.

Now here are my predicaments:

- I dont play on Switch that much, but I have a really good feeling about on-the-go 2D platformers. Wish I could play it like that.

- HK is a demanding game, and I dont want to be put off by the switch's handling/controls. Joycons are...well, not comfortable controllers.

So my questions are these:

1. For those who experienced it, was it nice to live the HK experience on the portable console?

2. Are the Joycons significantly worse for this game than a full-on controller ?
