Since the Switch 2 Edition is a different version of the game, does the upgrade allow both versions to run simultaneously (2 consoles)? or does Nintendo treat them as a single game license tied to one account?

Would I need to buy a second copy, or is owning the original version plus the Switch 2 upgrade enough? Has anyone tested this?

Did the new update make anyones world super grainy and horrible to look at from far distances? Is there a way to fix this?

Lost a villager due to the zombie horse bug, everything has been lit up for a long time and i’ve seen 3 zombie horses spawn so far, trying to save the villager from the zombie, another villager ran into my path and i killed him😔 If my iron gollum was nearby i would’ve lost my hardcore world as i had little armour :(

I Logged in today after my game updated and suddenly my entire inventory and xp bar is completely gone with no trace. Ive had this problem before and restarting my game worked to bring it back. This time ive already tried multiple methods to no avail, does anyone know what happened?

Also I spawned in the exact same position where I logged off so I did not die.

Running the latest snapshot on a 15 year old laptop (dell Inspiron n5110 4 gig ram version with 1g VRAM GT 525M)

I've been thinking about a possible limitation of using Minecraft's hunger-bar jitter to infer elapsed game ticks, particularly in discussions surrounding Dream's Manhunt videos.

According to existing videos, I hypothesize that the hunger-bar jitter reflects client-side HUD logic, while the server independently controls authoritative gameplay state. If the client continues updating its HUD while server-side game simulation is frozen or delayed, the observed jitter might continue evolving even though the server's game ticks are not advancing at the same rate.

This raises two questions:

1. Can client-side hunger-bar jitter continue to evolve while server simulation ticks are frozen?
2. If so, could this cause a discrepancy between the tick count inferred from a recording and the actual number of server-side gameplay ticks?

I'm also curious whether client–server state desynchronization could be relevant when analyzing disputed inventory interactions, such as the crafting-table and boat sequence discussed in Dream's Manhunt controversy.

I'm not claiming that this explains the disputed footage or disproves any existing analysis. At this stage, it's a hypothesis that needs to be tested against the relevant Minecraft version and source code.

A useful experiment would record the client HUD, client tick count, and server tick count simultaneously, then freeze server simulation while leaving the client running. Comparing the resulting sequences could establish whether the proposed discrepancy actually occurs.

Has anyone tested this behaviour in a controlled environment, or examined how existing hunger-jitter analysis tools account for client–server tick divergence?

I'd appreciate technical feedback, relevant source-code references, or reproducible test results.

I realized that I had an almost completely destroyed portal and when I searched they told me that it was very uncommon, really is it?

I'm gonna start my nether highway project. I obviously want it all on the same level. I'm planning on using chunk base to see where I want to come out in the overworld, and then start from there in the nether. But I'd also like my nether portals to come out at a certain y level in the overworld. Do I have the option to choose both or what do people typically do?

Hey so my friends and I have a realm, and set up base near a village. We've been worried about our villagers turning into zombies again so I decided to add walls around the entire village. There is no possible way to jump over and I've checked for holes at least 15 times all around yet somehow the golems and villagers seem to escape? Images to show what the walls look like. What am I doing wrong or is this some odd glitch? :( Any advice would be appreciated thank you

Has anyone encountered an issue where they place light blocks wherever they go? This is completely vanilla(aside from a waystone mod) and everyone I've asked about it is stumped. This has been happening for the past few days whenever I log on no matter my gamemode.

So I made blazed mc’s raid farm for bedrock. EVERYTIME I get a villager(jobless and locked in, I’ve tried both) to the farm in the ocean, they just float away when I break the boat. They refuse to take the job block and bed. There’s a staircase to it, but they just want to float away. I’ve given up twice lol

So I’ve used villagers from different villages, I’ve tried them jobless and they won’t take a job at all in the ocean. And I’ve tried locking a fletcher in, taking HIS job block with us and still nothing. I’ve never actually played with totems and I’m ready to give up on my two week Minecraft binge. 🙁 help me stay!

When I first downloaded the game it wasn’t working I fixed it by turning of some amd adrenaline settings but after 2 days of working fine my pc updated and Minecraft updated, and all of a sudden I get them both popping up even though I didn’t change my settings??

So in order to run AUTO resolution you MUST run Vibrant Visuals at MAX preset. It had no issues before so why would they change this? Honestly it's just dumb.

I had just entered this world i was putting so much effort on for a long time. I was building a portal to get a happy ghast to nether when, suddenly, the screen went black.

The power hadnt gone out, the TV and console were working just fine but the game simply wouldnt leave the black screen. I then decided to close the game.

When i turned it on again and tried reentering the world... "corrupted save file"

There is a way to save this world or are we cooked chat?

I read that it can be saved by PS plus (i play in PS4). But i dont know if it works only if i had plus before the tragedy or if i buy it now (as i dont had it for a long time) i can still take the automatic backup.

If so... there is any other way? Please reddit sages, save me again! And thanks for reading so far the plead from a man who just lost everything.
