no politics Jetts Fitness emails don't comply with ACMA regs.
Made the mistake of enquiring about a gym course at Jetts and now getting spam texts and emails.
Today's email gives a proper working link if you want to sign up for their latest Black Friday offer. If you want to unsubscribe the options shown at the bottom are either a broken link that goes nowhere or one leading to an insecure rubbish site. Worth a referral to ACMA I reckon.
Also recall asking about a clause in their sign-up contract that states they have the right to film clients in the gym and use it for marketing purposes with no opt out provision. The gym franchisee owner assured me that wouldn't happen at her gym. She was trying to convince me she had the authority to override the contract and that her verbal say so would do the trick. Yeah right.

I don’t know if we are doing Opposite Day for the giggles, or the selectors are using balls in a bottle to do the selections but this just makes zero sense to me

news Perfection Fresh admits to fixing the price of vegetables sold to ALDI
Perfection Fresh has admitted to engaging in cartel conduct and has agreed to jointly submit to the Court that Perfection Fresh should be ordered to pay a penalty of $12 million for nine contraventions and one attempted contravention and establish a competition law compliance program.
The Court will determine whether the proposed penalty and other orders are appropriate at a later date.
In September 2025, the ACCC commenced civil proceedings in the Federal Court against Perfection Fresh, three other suppliers and three individuals for alleged price fixing while supplying fresh vegetables to ALDI, in breach of Australia’s competition laws.
The ACCC alleged, and Perfection Fresh has admitted, that on eleven occasions between 2019 and 2020, Perfection Fresh engaged in cartel conduct by fixing the prices of broccoli, cauliflower and iceberg lettuce supplied to ALDI in New South Wales.
The ACCC’s case against the other suppliers and individuals is ongoing. As the matter remains before the Court, the ACCC will not be making further comment at this time.

news Childcare worker's 'monstrous' violence captured on CCTV
Sadist. Devil. Monster.
Childcare worker Edwina Ling has been called all three.
Over three days, behind the doors of a small childcare centre on the remote tip of Cape York in Far North Queensland, three little boys were subjected to shocking physical abuse.
“You just can’t imagine how someone can be so cruel to babies,” says the mother of the youngest victim, who was just 13-months-old when Ling went on a violent three-day spree of slapping, kicking, and throwing him around like a rag doll.
The parents of the 13-month-old want the public to see what happened to him in the hope it will bring reforms.

Just another day in Australia!
We watched this fella (lady?) eating the other one. The eatee put up a fair fight, but once the head was down, the rest went down pretty quickly.
