Traffic jam creators

Never fails, every single time I'm stuck in traffic , I'm wondering how

I'm switching lanes, getting past this car, that car, squeezing through...

All to just get to the front of each lane wide open space in front

Multiple cars going under the speed limit moving like a snail, it's insane how traffic can be caused by just 3 people at the top of the lane purposefully going 10 miles per hour

Surely believe once I get to the front I'm making your day hell slamming the horn ,tapping slamming again beep beep beep

F YOU

It really grinds my gears when people hold up the checkout line to slowly decide what extra thing they want

You know what really grinds my gears? I’m standing in a grocery checkout line, ready to pay, and the person in front of me suddenly freezes. They are already on the register, but then they start wondering if they need candy, soda, or a magazine.

They turn around, scan the shelf, take forever to make up their mind, while the cashier and everyone behind just waits. They could’ve thought about this before getting in line. The checkout is not the place to browse and make last-minute decisions.

I’m not mad at small quick add-ons. Grabbing a pack of gum in two seconds is fine. But when they spend 60+ seconds debating random extras, it feels so selfish. Everyone else also has places to go and things to do.

Does this annoy anyone else?

People blasting their videos on BART. Zero sense of the space around them. No one wants to hear your phone call or self help video. Ffs

Sitting on BART quietly heading to work and she is just watching her phone and smiling as if we are all happy to listen too.

“1! 2! 3! Happy Birthday to you!…”

Really? You want us all to sing the song in a different key?

Here is how to do it:

  1. Begin “Happy” just a moment before everyone is ready.
  2. Sing it about a half a beat too long, so everyone has a chance to join in.
  3. Sing “birthday” assertively and at full tempo, so we can all get through the song before our next birthdays.

You know what really grinds my gears? Calling your phone’s wallpaper a “screensaver.”

Whenever someone shows me the picture on their phone and says, “Look at my screensaver,” a tiny, deeply unimportant part of my brain starts itching.

Wallpaper is the background image on your home screen or lock screen. Your dog, your kids, a mountain... all wallpaper.

A screensaver activates after a device has been idle and typically displays moving images or patterns. Screensavers were originally designed to help prevent static images from burning into older displays. Think bouncing logos and those endless flying toasters.

Some phones do have actual screensaver features, so yes, a phone can have both. But the photo behind your app icons is your wallpaper. Being on a screen does not automatically give it a job saving that screen.

And because this is the internet: Yes, I understand what people mean. No, I don’t think this makes anyone stupid. I’m also not interrupting family gatherings to deliver a presentation about display terminology. My gears are experiencing a minor grinding noise. The entire transmission has not fallen out.

People need to leave wholesome posts wholesome

Grinds my gears to dust when dads get slandered:
Ie this morning i saw a happy post about a dad playing in the rain with his kids.
Wholesome, no?
NOPE, EVERYONE was talking about how “dads dont deserve praise simply for being apart of their kids lives” while also several comments down they were making snide snarks about how they would verbally abuse the poor guy for “not doing enough”

The reason? The post title was “great dad plays in the rain”

Sure maybe hes not “great” but WHY, JUST WHY did they have to bring in his body and say “i bet he beats his wife” because of an armored truck he owns in the background. WHY did they decide that he was a horrible human off the bat for no reason.

My gears are practically metal cylinders after that post.

Why do people expect everyone else to deal with their kids in public?
