Seems like most functions on reddit just make you try and fail before vaguely telling you what you did wrong

I was trying to post but got removed

I used to make throwaway accounts to ask embarrassing questions on Reddit (cough cough relationship advice) that I don’t want people who know my real account to see.

More recently, any time I try my posts get deleted instantly with the message “Sorry, this post was removed by reddits filters”

I make sure I follow all rules on the subreddit I’m posting to. I feel like this is a higher up level Reddit thing rather than just the specific subreddit deleting posts. Maybe I’m wrong though. I assume it’s because my account is new, with no other posts and zero karma.

So are throwaway accounts just not allowed anymore?

I haven't commented on the post or anything by the way (I searched up that this would cause it).

Basically I downvoted someone's comment so it goes from 1 to 0, but then when I reload it's still 1 but with my downvote button still blue.

I'm new here and trying to understand how everything works.

For those who've been using Reddit for years, what's one thing you wish someone had told you when you first started?

I don’t get it, like whyyy

I don’t comment much I like to observe mainly

I have tons of ideas that I can contribute. All my comments are being removed by the system.

Title pretty much, when you get banned from a subreddit it says to not use another account to circumvent the ban as this is against Reddit rules.

Fair enough it’s against the rules, it makes sense, but how can that be enforced unless u/username was to pop back up with u/username1 and the same profile picture and it’s glaringly obvious?

What amount of karma do you need to be good on reddit?

Why do people have multiple accounts, what is the purpose to this? I was reading some people use multiple and i don't understand why?

I was able to receive them for a bit as well as send them but recently I haven’t been able to??

I am seeing several posts where it will have a username with the you/weirdName then it will have a regular sounding name in an orange oval. What's up with that? Can somebody explain that to me, please? I tried to take a screenshot, but couldn't get it done.

I’m new to this! I need some help with getting a post up! I guess I need points?

Hey guys, so I have a question about being able to post in certain subreddits.
I keep getting the pop up that I can't post because I don't have enough points and my account is too young.

My question is, how do I know when my account is "old" enough?
Is there a general rule like "Most communities don't accept people until they are 7 days." Or is it all up to the community itself and I have to keep checking.

In addition, it's listed as two bullet points, but I am not sure if it is "or" or "and". Like, do I have to be over a certain number of days AND have a certain amount of karma, or is it usually either/or?

I know you can't speak for every subreddit as they all decide their own rules, but I don't know if there is a general guideline they usually go off of.

I sometimes see both in the same post, and it is really weird.
