NA W Nintendo Customer Support:expired game voucher
Bought a pair of Nintendo Switch Game Vouchers back in October 2025, redeemed one for Pokémon ZA, and completely forgot about the second one until I realized it had recently expired.(about 2 weeks ago)
Figured I’d give Nintendo support a shot through their live chat. Surprisingly, the whole process took less than 10 minutes, and they gave me a 7-day extension to redeem my remaining voucher!
Honestly wasn’t expecting much, but credit where it’s due. Huge W for Nintendo customer support.
Just sharing in case anyone else is in the same situation. Definitely worth reaching out!

Hi r/NintendoSwitch
We’re Featherweight Games, we’re a indie game studio from Sydney, Australia and we released our game Chained Beasts on Nintendo Switch last week.
In it you play gladiators chained together and you have to fight to survive through 3 brutal acts while suffering debilitating afflictions. It’s designed to be simultaneously kind of hardcore and hilarious.

Review A quick review of the Japanese Nintendo Switch Online Mega Drive controller
I picked up the Nintendo Switch Online Mega Drive controller at the Shibuya Nintendo Store on a whim yesterday. Here's my quick review of it.
The good:
- It’s a solid controller, as expected from a Nintendo-made device.
- It has a home button and a capture button, something that’s severely lacking from the SNES and Super Famicom controllers.
- It’s a 6 button controller, unlike the US and European version of the controller which is just a 3 button. The 6 buttons are usable on the EU/NA version of the NSO app just fine without issue.
The bad:
- The Genesis/Mega Drive app on NSO hasn’t been updated since April 2025 with no indication on when/if it will actually get an update.
- The real thing suffers from this too, but it’s really lightweight.
- The buttons cannot be remapped. This makes it basically impossible to play the (now delisted) Sega Genesis Classics collection with it, because it has no in-game remapping.
- The button mapping is a little weird. The buttons are mapped as follows:
A = A
B = B
C = R
X = X
Y = Y
Z = L
Start = +
Mode = ZR
There’s no way to press the minus/select button with this controller at all, which can limit its use in some games as well, even if you can remap the controls.
I'd recommend this controller if
- You like fighting games and want to play them with a 6 button layout.
- You are visiting Japan, have an NSO subscription and go to a Nintendo Store and want something unique.
- You're a big fan of Sega and Genesis/Mega Drive games.

Discussion MW4 on Switch 2 has been such a pleasant and nostalgic experience
I've missed having motion controls for so long. It's been 13 years since Ghosts. I was never a console FPS person outside of exclusives like Metroid Prime. On PC I only really play Tarkov as far as FPS games go. Aside from that, I played a few CoDs with friends, but that was 3 years ago and even then it really was not much.
MW4 is the first CoD I'm actually really enjoying in a long while, mostly due to the controls. It's amazing how much the muscle memory has remained even though I haven't really played Wii or Wii U CoDs in over a decade.
It's not quite as a solid as Wii controls, but it's pretty damn close. It's such a fun experience and feels quite good, I just had to share it. I'd recommend it just for that alone, but if you have it and haven't tried the motion controls, I think it's worth giving it a go, especially if you played previous CoDs with a wiimote before.

Game Rec Switch Game Recs Similar to Phone Games
I really love games similar to My Perfect Hotel and the mini games on ads for Gardenscape and Township. Those aren’t actual games though. I like the faster paced, collection, constant expansion type feel. My Perfect Hotel would be good if it wasn’t for the constant ads and trying to get you to watch videos for perks. I don’t want to necessarily decorate rooms or cook recipes. Collecting isn’t bad. What are some switch suggestions?
