Question Looking for recommendations - laser hair removal for male presenting people
I'm looking to get laser hair removal done, neck down. i suffer quite badly with folliculitis tried a ton of things over the years and nothing reliably works.
However it seems laser hair removal is a virtually permanent solution to the issue. Im sick of dealing with the flare ups quite honestly :-( as they can happen anywhere and they can happen out of the blue, it's painful,.take an age to heal and at times leave scarring :-(
I have it under control at the moment, Based near Dundee but I can travel, any recommendations?
Just want some relief from this
Thanks in advance :-)

Question US Nurse (RN) looking to immigrate to Scotland
I am a registered nurse in the United States with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN). I have 2 years of experience working in the Newborn ICU (NICU). I am wanting to move out of the country and loved Scotland when I visited.
My questions is : how difficult is it transfer my license and experience over to the UK, particularly Scotland? I assume the nursing shortage also exists across the pond. I want to remain in the NICU which I assume may be a more difficult specialty to get into than others, however I have2 years experience on the highest acuity level NICU in the US.
Any tips, suggestions, or experiences anyone could share on how to make the move?

Gordon Strachan Repeated Thoughts on Scottish Genetics
Right hello folks - genuinely interested to hear peoples thoughts on this. Gordon Strachan appeared on Open Goal podcast recently, and reiterated his point that he controversially made about Scottish athletes. I believe somebody needs to pick Gordons bones on the Scottish ‘wee man’ small genetics comment. Seems to allude to it again in the pod without any basis. Aye the average height (5’6) and life expectancy in certain areas is worse than Yemen at a push, but look at some of the authentic Scottish patches eg. North East, Borders, Highlands etc, that by proxy probably have healthier diets (far less fast food, real issue) and grow up primarily outdoors. Some of the Shinty teams are a good example. Some of the clear Celtic/Pictish sorts that naturally don’t grow up on tangfastics and Lucozade (Inner Urban areas), and you see stock not associated with 5’5 radges. Look at Irelands rugby team - not rural but non-urban folk that are actual athletes, playing a wide range of sports (not just the obvious, rugby). I think we can say the same, but perhaps theres too much of an urban perspective on matters and its more of a cultural thing in Scotland. Nothing against the jimmy johnstones of the world btw, but Gordon needs challenged on this one - mentioned it as Scotlands manager. Devils advocate but wee man syndrome?

Question Inverness Activities
Hi All!
My husband & I will be in Inverness for 3 days for our anniversary next week. We already have a full day tour scheduled to visit Isle of Skye & Eilean Donan Castle. We have one full day still open (our actual anniversary) and I can't find anything to do that's not another day tour or doesn't overlap. The first leg of our trip is 4 days in Edinburgh, so that's not an option. We'll be staying at Glen Mhor.
Activity recommendations and dinner recommendations please? Also, where can I visit highland cows?! 🥹
Thank you!

Question What would make you try a new Edinburgh-based coffee brand?
I'm Edinburgh-based and exploring the idea of launching a small independent coffee brand.
Before sinking money into it, I'd love to hear what people actually look for when buying coffee.
Is it taste, price, branding, supporting local businesses, or something else?
And would you realistically pay £10–£15 for a 250g bag from a brand you'd never heard of?
Genuinely interested in people's opinions, particularly what existing coffee brands aren't getting right.

Everyone’s was welcoming, friendly and helpful 🙏🏽. I have been all over Europe and hands down you guys are the best . From the workers at the airport, to the random people i met on my travels. I have visited all over Europe and no other place has even came to your level of hospitality.

Political Student research survey: Is council tax in Scotland fair?
Hi all,
We’re a group of University of Edinburgh students working in affiliation with the Buchanan Institute, a student-run think tank. We’re researching Scotland’s council tax, in particular the single person discount, and would really value views from across Scotland, not just students.
• Takes 3-5 minutes

The results will feed into a policy proposal we’ll present to policymakers. Happy to answer questions in the comments, and thank you if you take part!

Question Best sour sweeties etc.?
I’m not originally from Scotland and am going home for Christmas this year. Due to various logistical family reasons, I’m trying to wrap up my Christmas shopping ASAP.
I need a gift for someone who likes anything bitter or sour. They are autistic and quite particular, not a drinker so no booze. They like lemon sweeties. They really love rowan berry jam but I don’t have time to make any this year.
Any suggestions will be extremely welcome!

A Visit to Stirling's Beheading Stone
The stone stands atop "Mote Hill" or the more appropriately named "The Heading Hill," a spot where an ancient Pictish Fort once stood. Over time, this area became the place where King James I would have his enemies dispatched. Beheadings were specifically reserved for individuals found guilty of committing treason. Most notably was that of Murdoch, Duke of Albany in 1425, the grandson of King Robert II, founder of the Stewart Dynasty.
