Found her out on a job site. Spotted her immediately because she was just so orange!

Is this a brown recluse D:

Pa. No clue what she is😅

Marbled orb-weaver feasting at Oak Openings Metropark near Toledo, Ohio. Shot with a Sony a1ii and Sony 70-200 GM2.

I bought her at a reptile expo.

I’m assuming she’s a Western Black Widow since I’m in California.

She was ‘allegedly’ raised in captivity, but I chose her because she had an egg sac (smooth). Unfortunately the babies had already hatched & died, but I’m hopeful maybe she will have another clutch.

She’s not the prettiest black widow, but they’re incredibly rare to find now that brown widows have taken over. She’s more of a chocolate color, with a very faint line on her dorsal abdomen. If I hadn’t seen the egg sac, I’d probably think she was a brown widow.

PS: I’ve moved her to a more suitable enclosure than the one she spent at least two molts in.

This was on my hand in western Maine by the white mountains. I was cleaning out old boxes. Looking for an ID.

Cool Fotos Right ? :)

I noticed this little jumper behind the clear plastic instrument panel cover of my carr back in the summer. I wonder how he/she fared with the heat and lack of water or visible prey.

This summer I came across one of the larger fishing spiders I've encountered. She was chilling near a waterfall, surrounded by her bountiful harvest.

ignore my dirty mirror lol

i thought the only cobweb spiders in my state were the triangulate cobweb spider and black widow. i found this on the ground when i was mowing my lawn. (oklahoma)

I have no idea what spider it is, appeared when i rolled down the blinds, i was in awe (last pic has my hand for comparison)

Lovely cellar spider took care of this sad black widow!! Watched this for a couple of hours. The cellar spider was trying to drag the black widow up to its nest. I have some videos watching the seller trying desperately to pull that black widow up. He finally decided against it and ate the black widow where it was.

Love me a Cellar Spider!!

I couldn't get a picture of it's eyes
