Castlevania: Belmont’s Curse (2026) Minor trivia (+ endgame spoilers) Spoiler

I'm not sure if anyone has brought this up yet but make sure to visit Trevor in Notre Dame after you get the final Arcana for some extra dialogue.

Also, if you talk to Trevor a few more times, he'll have something to say about every other Arcana. A lot of them try to respond, but only Rose can hear them.

Castlevania: Belmont’s Curse (2026) why brauner…?

finished BC recently and one thing ive been wondering is why brauner isnt olrox instead

my memory could be failing me but didnt brauner get turned into a vampire just shortly before the events of PoR? and since thats so much further in the future, is the brauner family just historically affiliated with dracula? or is it like the same guy reincarnated??? it just seems so strange to me

when i saw him in promo before the game released i was sure it was like nosferatu or maybe olrox returning, esp its earlier in the timeline and brings back some old school drac minions like carmilla and medusa and isaac (timeline wise)

anyone else have any thoughts on this? brauners card was also one of the few i didnt do all the works of mercy on so maybe i just missed out on some juicy lore lol

Castlevania: Belmont’s Curse (2026) The game does not have difficult platforming, you're just bad.

There are so many people complaining about the platforming when it literally isn't that bad. Like it is way easier than any of the platforming in the classicvanias, play castlevania on the NES or play Rondo of Blood and then get back to me, this complaint is so tired.

Some of you have never played a game that had actually difficult platforming and it really shows.

Castlevania: Belmont’s Curse (2026) Trevor and Leon are possibly the Belmonts that suffered the most Spoiler

To be honest, every Belmont somehow suffered for fighting and defeating Dracula.

  • Simon was cursed and had to do all of that journey to search for Dracula's remains in order to save his bloodline
  • Christopher(the one from Castlevania Adventure and Belmont's Revenge) saw his own son, Soleil, being manipulated by Dracula and having to fight him
  • Richter was ashamed of the fact that he was controlled by Shaft, which made the Belmont clan to disappear until Julius reapeared in 1999. Thus, Shanoa and the Morris' clan (and also Eric Lecarde and Charlotte) had to fight Dracula meanwhile
  • Speaking of Julius, he went in a coma and lost his memories in the aftermath of the 1999 Battle

And then, he have Leon and Trevor. In Leon's case:

  • He lost his wife(Sara), went to hunt "Dracula" (that is, Mathias) and basically was cursed with longevity and basically becoming his minion

And then Trevor:

  • Lost his wife(Sypha) due to Dracula's Curse
  • Got fatally wounded by Isaac in Curse of Darkness
  • Got fatally Wounded(again) by Death in Belmont's Curse

It's even ironic that each of this events happened in each game of the "Cursed trilogy" lol. It seems like our Belmonts can't catch a break :c

Im not sure if Rose somehow suffered by deafeating Dracula, i still didn't finish the game (filler image)

Question Who is the most Popular Playable Female Character from the Series?

Sylpha Belnades... Maria Renard... Sonia Belmont... Yoko Belnades... Charlotte Aulin... Shanoa... And now Rose Belmont...

Not counting of course Characters like Carmilla who were only Playable in that Fighting Game Castlevania Judgement since that barely counts lol... XD

Did I miss anyone? :)

Who do you think is the most Popular Gal among the Playable Characters? :)

I personally think it is Maria Renard due to her appearing the most in several Entries and at different Ages too ( Kid and Young Adult ) and being the closest thing to Alucard having a Canonical Love Interest since Sonia Belmont was removed from the Main Canon...

Shanoa seems to have a fair amount of Fans too...

Sylpha became more Popular after the Animation I suppose but before that didn't feel like it much going only by the Games but she was technically the First Playable Female Character in Castlevania...

What do you think? :o

Discussion One HUGE missed opportunity for Belmont's Curse!

Thumbnail

One huge missed opportunity the game had was the idea of Gilles de Rais and Joan of Arc being showcased as part of Dracula's army. We already meet Joan in game, but Gilles de Rais was Dracula's decoy in Castlevania 64/Legacy of Darkness.

I know the 64 games have been deemed as non-canon, but I think it would've been wonderful material to have had Gilles active as a potential boss, maybe even a dual boss alongside Joan a'la Stella and Loretta in Portrait of Ruin, with Jeanne being the physical fighter while Gilles backs her up with fire magic.

Given how much media tends to portray them as being comrades on arms, with Joan's death leading Gilles into insanity and inhumanity, I think it would've been cool to showcase it here. Maybe even some sad parting of Gilles refusing to go with Joan in the end because he's gone too far in his madness and he simply prays her next life is better than what she got.

Of course, there's always the chance of there being updates and/or DLC, isn't there?

Symphony of the Night (1997) 2027: 30th anniversary of *Symphony of the Night*...?

What are the chances of a remake being announced, and how should it be handled in terms of rebuilding the gameplay and the narrative?

Personally, I think it should feature two separate storylines—one for Alucard and one for Maria—in the style of the Claire/Leon campaigns in *Resident Evil 2*, with different bosses and a different progression order. I also believe Richter’s prologue should be a full-fledged level that serves as a summary of *Bloodlines*, incorporating playable segments from that previous game.

Castlevania: Belmont’s Curse (2026) Content DLC for Belmont's Curse? What areas and bosses would you like to see?

Hey,

do you think we will get DLC with new areas and bosses for Belmont's Curse in the future?

I personally loved the game and its mix of combat, platforming, exploration and puzzles. I would love to see new areas being added to the castle as of now it just had 4 areas (don't know if Notre Dame is a castle area per say).

I personally hope for a laboratory area with lots of electricity and failed experiments, maybe something like a Courtyard area or greenhouse as well.

As for bosses I would love to see Frankenstein's Creature, Legion/ Granfaloon, Shaft and who I think will be the final boss of the DLC - Death again but this time with two forms and a much extended moveset.

Castlevania: Belmont’s Curse (2026) How do you beat the Fallen in Belmont's Curse?

I have tried to fight him again and again and each time he shreds through me like I'm made of butter. I've never been able to take off more than a quarter of his health. This is the first boss??? I asked people and they said that I'm supposed to slide through him to dodge his claw attack, but every time I try he turns around and shreds me on the third slash. Is there a health upgrade I'm missing or something? I know you're supposed to break his cross that he throws at you but it seems I'm just not fast enough to parry his attacks.

Definitely a good game. Not nearly as bad as other people are calling it. Really enjoyed the platforming in this with the utilization the whip and the holy light. Also really like the implementation of the tarot cards. My favorite was the ferryman’s Ice ability. Probably the my 6th favorite Metroidvania released this year I’ve 100%ed.
