Promotion We’re Making a Narrative RPG Inspired by Hamlet and Disco Elysium UI, with 100,000 Words, 100 Hand-Drawn Illustrations, 20 Music Tracks, and 1 Original Song!

Hi everyone,

We are a small indie team focused on narrative-driven games. In our first game, Livber: Smoke and Mirrors, we made a visual novel built around a single interactive story. Now we are working on our second game, Kardiya: The Winds of Fate, and this time we are trying to make something bigger, longer, and more replayable.

The story of Kardiya is inspired by Hamlet. Our young noble protagonist’s father is murdered by his own uncle, and the story revolves around family, power, uncovering the truth, and revenge. While still a child, our protagonist is forced to flee the palace and leave his noble life behind. We follow his journey from childhood to adulthood, as he struggles to survive, grow, and eventually confront the fate of his family.

The game currently features around 100,000 words, 100 hand-drawn illustrations, 20 music tracks, 1 original song, and countless ways to experience the story depending on your choices. The game is still in development. If it sounds interesting, feel free to check out our Steam page.

Thank you ^^

She came. She crawled. She dreamed of becoming a butterfly. Unfortunately, the ants had other plans :) 🐜

A little moment from Garden of Ants, the ant colony RTS/sim we are working on.

Does the way she crawls look natural to you? Anything you'd change about her movement?

Best

Upcoming I’ve been building this fast-paced zombie roguelite alone. How does the combat look for an Early Access launch?

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Hey everyone! I'm a solo dev working on Slaughter Loop. It's a fast-paced roguelite where you mix different character/weapon combos and build a permanent skill web each run. I recently added full controller support and put together this short gameplay clip.

The footage you see here represents the initial Early Access version, which will be available on Steam very soon! My ultimate goal is to transition into developing this game full-time with the community's support.

I'd love to hear your honest feedback on the combat and the overall vibe. If it looks like your kind of game, a wishlist on Steam would mean the world to me!

Promotion How I Doubled My Game’s Median Playtime With Data

• Upvotes

I've been working on Unstable Nuclear Reactor, an incremental hex-puzzle roguelite where you merge atoms into higher elements, trigger massive chain reactions, and manage your reactor's capacity to survive as long as possible.

I noticed that many players were losing within the first 10 minutes, while others kept coming back and playing for hours.

After looking more closely at how people played, I discovered that many were skipping the tutorials, placing atoms and tools randomly, and getting overwhelmed by the mechanics.

So I made two major changes:

  • Added an Undo button so players could reverse their last move.
  • Improved the tutorials to better explain the core mechanics and guide players through the early game.

The results were encouraging:

  • Median playtime more than doubled.
  • RestartGame rates dropped from 37.2% to 27.5%.

It was a good reminder that sometimes a game doesn't need more content. Players just need a better chance to understand the mechanics and enjoy what's already there.

If you enjoy incremental games and hex-based puzzles, I'd love to hear what you think of the demo!

It’s an idle clicker where you run a TV station broadcasting a medieval war. You switch between cameras, jump into random soldiers’ bodycams, trigger ridiculous events and try to keep the viewers entertained. Basically, a lot of chaos.

Note: This is a polished prototype, but still a work in progress. Some features may change, and there's more to come!

Need Feedback Voltane: tiny RC cars, a whole house to race through, and everything breaks. Free open beta in your browser

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

• Upvotes

Voltane is an arcade racing game with tiny RC cars, and it’s in open beta 🏁

Where you race: through a family house (kitchen, bathroom, the kid’s bedroom), a backyard with a pool, a dusty attic, a corner shop, a fun fair with a miniature roller coaster, a toy museum and a tropical lagoon.

What makes it fun:

  • 💥 Almost everything breaks: lines of dominoes, shop shelves, picket fences, sandcastles… and smashing stuff fills your nitro
  • 🏎️ Loose, slidey RC handling, big jumps and air tricks
  • 🌐 8-player online races, or open your own server
  • 🛠️ A track editor to build and share your own circuits
  • 🎮 Split screen for 2 on PC, a campaign, time trials and ghosts

It’s free and runs in your browser, on PC and phone, with keyboard, gamepad or touch. No download, no account needed.

Need Feedback It took me a while, but I've finally finished my game (now it's going digital)

Post image
1 Upvotes

Hey everyone!

When I was 8 years old, I started making a card game that I never managed to finish (very inspired by Pokémon, during the craze back then). 27 years later, I finally committed to making a card game from beginning to end, playtesting it countless times with a couple of friends. Now it's also going digital (online)...

It's a strategy game that can be played with up to 4 players (though the online version is only 1v1). The goal is to destroy your opponent's Capital before they destroy yours. It was inspired by other popular card games like Magic and Pokémon (among others), but it has quite a few mechanics of its own, such as strategic positioning of Kravers (creatures), side effects (recoil damage, Exhausted, Wasted and Overdosed), the use of D20s, variable limits on the number of creatures in play, asymmetries in starting hand sizes and Capital HP, a hybrid resource system where you can draw cards and temporarily increase resource production by sacrificing cards, etc.

The game was originally designed to be Print & Play (and still is), but a few months ago, a friend of mine surprised me when he told me he was trying to implement the game online, with the help of AI-assisted coding. (Just to make it clear, the game itself was made 100% by humans. I came up with the rules, names and universe, and did all the illustrations myself. It was also tested in real life for over a year by my group of friends, and the card layouts, game logo and symbols were made by a professional designer.)

The game is already working relatively well, it's played in the browser, and it's optimized for PCs and tablets (the mobile version will be available really soon).

We're looking for more players to continue testing and improving the platform and the user experience. No previous experience is needed, we'd just like to have more people playing and get more feedback :)

The game platform uses Patreon authentication (the game itself doesn't ask for Patreon passwords or payment details), so you need to be a patron of the project. However, during this early stage, I'll be offering anyone interested a free one-year subscription as a thank-you for getting involved while the game is still at such an early stage.

If you're interested in being part of this project, just let me know in the comments or via PM and I'll send you the details in a private message! You can then play against the PC, your friends, or other players like me

Thanks in advance!

Promotion A game about opening way too many packs of tiny collectible figures!

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Hi everyone!

I'm a solo dev working on Pocket Bones, a small incremental game inspired by Crazy Bones / Gogo's / Jojo's (depending on where you grew up!), those little collectible toys from the 90s!

The idea is simple: open packs, collect all 480 variants, upgrade your setup to open even more packs, and watch your pile of tiny figures grow.

And somewhere in those packs, there's an incredibly rare secret Bone waiting to be found.

I wanted to recreate that childhood joy of collecting tiny figures, but without the limits of pocket money. Just open as many packs as you want and watch your collection physically pile up right in front of you!

Hope you like it!

If you're interested, you can wishlist it on Steam:
