Just rolled credits on Resistance: FoM. Felt very 2005 in a turn off your brain and mow down enemies no questions asked kind of way. A bit nostalgic really. I was always a big Halo and Gears player in the OG Xbox and 360 eras, so this felt right even down to the bleak muddy graphics/setting.

When I originally got my PS3 when the slim released, I had my share of the FPS titles like this so I went for more of the PS3 exclusives that scratched a different itch (GoW, Uncharted, etc.). Things the Xbox side couldn’t offer.

Now here we are 20 years later and I’m finally diving into Resistance. I picked up 3 this weekend for $10 and after rolling credits in the first am planning on diving in. Hopefully there aren’t any glaring plot beats I miss, but based on the story of the first I’m sure I’ll be fine.

Side note: even the sound design of the chimera seemed exactly as I remembered the Locust sounded from Gears

Just picked up this PS3 Slim (CECH-2501A) for $89. Came with all the necessary cords and an original Sony DualShock 3 controller. It says manufactured in 2010!
Everything seems to be working great so far, and I’m pretty happy with the purchase. My plan is to eventually mod it with full CFW if it’s compatible, install some homebrew apps, customize it a bit and use it for some older PS3 games, especially BO1 and BO2.
I already have a PS3 Super Slim running HEN, but I’ve been wanting a Slim that could potentially run full CFW for a while now.
Still need to check the minimum firmware version to confirm CFW compatibility, but overall I think I got a pretty decent deal. What do you guys think?

Hi everyone! Just wanted to share my small collection.
For a long time I stopped using mi ps3 because I got a ps4 but I always wanted to get back to it because there were a few games that I never finished. At one point I was about to sell the whole thing, but I'm grateful I didn't because this year I decided to use it again and get some games that I couldn't when I was a kid.
COD BO combo back and the God of War steel book (which is an edition that has all GOW games for the ps3) are my most recent purchases since I decided to play with it again.

Hey everyone, I’m trying to buy Cars 2 on the PS3 Store (EU region), but I’ve run into a weird issue.

The "Add to Cart" button isn't showing up at all on the game's page. To make things worse, the price doesn't even appear outside the game page (like in the search results or category lists). It's just completely blank.

I know Sony has heavily restricted the PS3 storefront, but is this a known glitch for this specific title? Has the game been silently delisted in Europe, or is there a workaround to get it into my cart?

What I've tried so far:

• Restarted the PS3 console completely.

• Used the d-pad trick to see if there was an invisible button to click, but nothing works since the price itself isn't loading at all.

Any help or insight would be greatly appreciated!

I have a question about my ps3. Every time i attempt to capture content via HDMI when the game starts I hear a static pop and my audio cuts outs. When i use my component cables the audio is perfect. Can anyone help me ? Do i need a new PS3? And what version do you suggest.
