Hi so I want to buy a Wii u off of facebook marketplace place and I’m stuck deciding between two options.

One is a uk version Wii u that has been slightly modded and and no longer region locked and comes with all accessories and two controllers and nunchucks

The other is a standard Wii u that comes with all the important components (wired console gamepad and such) and a charging stand but no remotes

The first is going for 130 and the second 140, for reference I live in Canada bc.

Which one do you think is best I’m stuck between it being uk and like if it’s okay that it’s been modded and everything or should I just go for the safe standard option?

So i was having a good Ole time. Went to bed, and now all the buttons and screen don't work.

It's wierd though. In the startup screen nothing works at all, not a or b, but when I turn on the console instead of the gamepad I can use + A and B.

I have mild technological experience. So I opened it up, and I couldn't really spot anything too wierd. It was really dusty and gross inside so I got rid of all the gunk by just blowing on it. Took everything apart to see if there's a crumb or something, then put it all back together, plugged everything in and stuff and still the same issue.

I don't want to spend TOO much money getting it fixed, and I'm iffy on buying a potentially broken used one too. The more reputable gamepads are over 100 bucks.

Does anyone know what could be the problem so I can fix it. I've had this console since I was 13. And it was the first I've ever owned.

On Saturday I played BOTW from 8pm - 9am. I am weirdly impressed with myself and am definitely enjoying it on Wii U more than I did on switch.

To add, none of this was just sitting there sleeping with the game open, this was solidly playing locked the fuck in doing Devine Beasts and shrines 😅

you need your own Xbox 360 Peggle files. the game supports, Gamepad, touchscreen, Pro controller, and Wii remote. I don't ever plan to make money off of these projects just doing them for fun, ill look more into the game if it has more issues and of course replace the download link. I'm also working on multiplayer for the game so everyone can play with eachother! this is still a early build.

this is vibecoded, but fully safe on your pc, it just converts a "own" Xbox 360 game to WiiU nothing else.

In the summer, I 100%-ed Mario odyssey and I loved every second of it but I had a huge burnout after ( as I tend to do that A LOT when gaming). And ever since I’ve really been struggling to find something that can really get me back into it. I think I may be suffering from too much choice tbh… in the last few weeks I’ve tried Mario kart and obviously enjoyed it, and DKC:Tropical freeze and enjoyed that also. I just find myself getting a little bored and just going on my phone during levels for example and then just turning the game off..

Can I transfer Wii save data in increments, or does it all have to be done in one fell swoop. Save data downloaded directly on the Wii's built-in storage doesn't get deleted during transfer process, right?

Because it's all on the SD card, right?

I’ve had my wii U for over ten years and it is unmodded. About a year and a half ago I got a new gamepad and I was playing the wind waker hd. Then when I was done I decided to try playing a wii game then I got an error screen.

The error code: 160-0103

It says something is wrong with my system memory and after this happened I formatted my wii u as an attempt to fix this issue but…. After setting up my wii u it shows the same error screen. I want to fix it without soldering anything and I am having trouble finding a reliable guide online. Gbatemp is telling me to download a lot of stuff and it’s overwhelming. Is there a better guide or youtube video I can follow? I also don’t want to buy a raspberri pi tool unless it’s necessary

My Wii U Pro Controller couldn't properly register diagonal D-pad inputs, so I bought a third-party Switch Pro Controller D-pad as a replacement. Now I can play any fighting game using my Wii U Pro Controller. Since the Switch Pro Controller D-pad is taller than the original Wii U Pro Controller D-pad, I think it actually feels better than the stock configuration.

Overall, what I did is installed some games, some plugins, and stuff... ghm... Just a little. I even managed to trick the Wii U into thinking that my SD card is a USB device so I would not ruin the aesthetics of the console with external stuff

The only useless feature for me is the Wii backwards compatibility since I still have my original Wii hooked up to component cables on the TV anyway. (And I know that's a crime to say, but I didn't really like Splatoon, my first experience was rough, but I would give it a shot again.)

And the only bad thing that I found is that I still have no friends on a console.

Any recommendations on what else I could do with this thing?

I have had my Wii U since 2017. Unfortunately some of my games have degraded overtime. The shops I have gone to ( I live in Pakistan ) somehow have Wii U games, but THEY'RE ON THE OFF SALE SECTION. What kind of sick joke is this? Well, what I am asking, is how do I get Wii U games? Do I use modded software? Is there any way to enter the eShop? And, if you live in Germany (I have a relative who lives there), I'd very much appreciate a link to a Wii U game reseller.

I'm trying to connect my Wii U to my very old CRT Tv.

The TV is a philips from the early 90s (I think) I need to use a scart port for it.

Back in the 90s when we played games on it we used channel 36.

I have connected the wii to it and that worked. (Dont remember which channel)

When I watch dvds and turn the dvd on it just switches to the scart(?) I dont have to choose a channel for that.

I have changed the settings to non-hdmi on the game pad but I dont get an image.

The scart is set to input.

Does anyone know what I could do? Should it work or is the tv just not compatible.

Hey! So I modded my Wii U and added GC games via UWUVCI, I’m loving the variety of games I can play with this console that has been left unused for about 10 years.
Problem is that I really wanted to play the GC Mario Party titles with my friends, but it seems that the Wii controllers with nunchucks play pretty buggy. They suddenly disconnect and the nunchucks sometimes stop working.
Is there something I can do to improve this or it is what it is? Seems like I’ll have to stick to the Wii and Wii U titles for games with 4 players.

I was checking to see if I had the Hynix chip and when I was taking my Wii U apart, this just slipped out. It’s the ribbon cable behind the power button that connects the face plate to the body. If I did mess up, how can I repair it? Do I need to buy a new part or something?

This is my second time taking apart any electronic. I only took apart switch controllers to fix the drift and that was easy so I thought this would be too.
