My Apple Watch is on “always on” screen but when I raise to wake some apps blink
It doesn’t do that all the time but after a reboot after an update it happens and sometimes it goes away for days until next reboot
Any tip for that issue ?

My Watch Lohnt sich eine Apple Watch für mich?

Hey zusammen,

Danke euch!

Activity Charging for Sleep Score

Hi! I just updated my Apple Watch and now have access to the sleep score feature. I’m interested in trying it, however by the end of the day / when I go to sleep, my watch is most always dead. I also typically workout first thing in the morning so I have to charge my watch at night. I’m curious — for anyone with similar habits to me, any recommendations on when to best charge to take advantage of the sleep features? Curious what times/new charge patterns anyone in the same boat has tried out. I know it’s kind of a silly question but appreciate the recs 😊

WatchOS Handwashing Timer is Gone

I picked up my Apple Watch Ultra 4 this weekend and I was surprised that Apple has removed the handwashing feature from the Series 12 and the Ultra 4. It’s still available on every other watch that runs the current WatchOS, but not the two newest. I’m sure it wasn’t the most popular feature, but I used it all day long and it was such a nice quality of life feature. I sent feedback through the portal to Apple. If you want to as well, I attached the link to this post. Here’s to hoping they bring it back.

Discussion Has delayed and missing heart rate data been resolved on Series 12?

I recall several posts mentioning either a large delay, or no HR data being shown on the heart rate complication on the new Series 12. Also, mentions of missing heart rate data in the Health app, well short of the "every 5 seconds" that was advertised.

Has this been resolved for anyone or are these issues still present?

Discussion I killed my watch.. recommendations?

I unfortunately killed my watch this weekend. I ended up in a bog and my watch is so covered in mud, and it is also inside. I have tried cleaning it but the dial still grinds when I turn it and from what I’ve seen online it looks as if it is not salvageable.
I had a SE.
I now need to replace it, and I am looking for recommendations!
I don’t do a ton with it. Mostly track my walks, look at texts, calls and things like that.

I can’t seem to download and update my Series 9 Apple Watch. It doesn’t move past 12-13 hours remaining… been trying to update for the past two weeks but same issue. Any insight? I have restarted my iPhone and Watch several times.

I have iPhone 17 Pro Max running on iOS 27.0.1

Discussion Recommendations….

Here’s where I’m at.

Currently have 2 year old SE2 (BH=84). With my use case I have no real issue with the battery lasting me a day with basically once a day charging.

I’d planned on upping to a Series 12 come the Black Friday sales time (assuming there are some) HOWEVER, I’m seeing a fair amount of grumbling about the 12 but I’m having trouble discerning if it’s the 12 or OS27 that’s the issue. I see a few grumbling on Ultra/OS27 but very few on SE3/OS27 which might just be that there’s more 12’s than the other models, and hence more grumbling.

That being said my questions are - is it mostly the 12 or is it mostly OS27? If it’s the 12 does the good outweigh the drawbacks?? If it is OS27 I’d expect fixes to come along fairly soon.

If it is the 12 would I be better off limping along another year and jumping in on a 13?? Or perhaps settling on a SE3? Ultra is out - just too big for me.

Thoughts??? THANKS

Discussion Sleep metrics?

What does the AW measure when it gathers sleep metrics? I may notice when I wake up once or twice at night, but otherwise, I’m just rolling over to my other side. Is it counting such movement as being awake?

Activity My series 1 not measuring walking distance (circle)

Post image
2 Upvotes

Weird. The circle isn’t filling up when walking. Walked outside 30 minutes yesterday and measured only 3.
7 minute walk this morning measured at 2, but now days 3.
(It does show exercise minutes in the heart app correctly)
I checked the motion and calibration in system services. Those are toggled on.

It has been a year since I was walking consistently. Do I have to hit the reset and recalibrate and try another 20 minute outdoor walk? (Does that erase previous years data)?

Tried unpairing and pairing.

On my brand new Apple Watch Ultra 4. Just incredible.

This used to be one of the main things I used my Apple Watch for. Now it can no longer set timers by voice.

Discussion First Apple Watch, why so inaccurate?

Post image
0 Upvotes

Okay everyone raves about Apple Watch’s if you’re a runner, I’m very basic so I never cared enough to fork out the money but my husband got me one for my bday and I’ve had it for about two/three weeks and I don’t see the hype. I only truly wanted it to track my runs, I know I average a pace of 13/14 minutes per mile so why is this watch so wrong? This is constant. I only wear it throughout the day to track my steps and just track my run myself because it’s always different. If I set it to a run workout instead of walk the pace shoots up and is way ahead so it’s a lose-lose situation. I also want to say this is my personal running/walking pad but even the ones at the gym do it or when I know my coffee shop is exactly 2.5 miles away and when I get there it’s a 1.5 miles
Any tips?

Discussion Would an Apple Watch app that auto-counts knitting rows from hand motion actually work?

I’m a college student who builds apps, and I’m exploring a watchOS app that uses the accelerometer and gyro to count knitting stitches and rows automatically, kind of like how workout apps count reps.

Any knitters or crocheters here who wear their watch while crafting? Would you use something like this, and does wearing a watch while knitting get in the way? Also curious if any devs have tried rep counting with Core Motion and how accurate it was.

My Watch Broke my Series 10 watch, Apple replaced it with Series 12

So I had Series 10 natural Titanium 42mm GPS + cellular.
I had Apple care on it. Broke it at the GYM, did the express replacement where they ship the watch to you.

To my surprise it was Series 12 Natural titanium 42mm GPS + cellular. I guess they didn’t have the titanium ones in series 10 as those sell less so they don’t keep a lot of back stock.

I am not complaining tho, this watch came out only last month! The battery life is awesome. The battery health on my damaged watch was 90% so the difference in battery duration is huge!

My Watch AW U2 ➡️ AW Series 12

Made the (side?) grade just a little over a week ago from Ultra 2 to Series 12. Got a Series 10 when they first came out, then quickly transitioned to an Ultra 2 for the more premium feel and extra features. Found myself missing the sleeker, less bulky feel of the Series watches. Decide it would be a good time when the 12 came out for better health tracking.

-Noticeably faster to the touch
-Feels thinner and lighter than any other series watch? (Could be because I am coming from an Ultra and haven’t had a series in a while)
-One thing I really disliked about my Series 10 was it felt like the Digital Crown was always getting in the way of my wrist. Haven’t experienced that issue at all with the Series 12 (again could be a transition experience)
-The dark bronze color is awesome. It can look like many different types of shades depending on lighting which is cool
-Being able to display steps on the watch face without a third party app is awesome
-The battery life is great. I keep always on display on which may play a factor into this, but the battery life feels pretty comparable to the Ultra 2’s battery life.

Honestly, I just found myself not using as many of the ultra features as I thought I would. Plus the desire of a sleeker look and less bulk, decided I might as well make the trade in while the value of the Ultra 2 was still high. Originally was between the natural titanium version of the 12, or this aluminum. Really been liking this one so far.
