Hello people I was hoping I can get some advice here to see what is my best course of action
As of recently my IPhone 12(Had since 2021) has been much more slower and cutting my battery life to about 65%
But unfortunately since my phone does have a few cracks it would cost even more to replace the battery life and the case(Costing 300$ in total)
Since I am going to get a new phone but it’s gonna be next year and I don’t think I can’t handle with my phone but I don’t want my parents to see me just buying a new phone straight up of nowhere since they can tell lmao and since my older sister also has the exact same model and would kill me if I get a newer phone than here
Money isn’t the issue here(Well maybe my range is around 300$)
So should I go with the fixes or should I just buy an refurbished IPhone 13 or 14 from Best Buy
Just like anything that resembles an IPhone 12 just to keep me sane at least until I get my later iPhone
Any advice?

hey guys, i have had an old ass samsung for over 6 years and im ready for an upgrade. i really want to change to apple but i have been having my concerns over which version to buy. the new 18 pro features do intrigue me a lot but also at the same time i dont think i could be feeling any difference from the 18 and the 17 pros. this is exactly why i wanted to ask more people abt which version i should go for and with the help of you guys finally decide what iphone i should buy.

you guys can nerd out about all the details you want ill read each and every single reply and make my final decision. since ill be keeping this new phone for over 5 years i really wanna be sure of my choices.

I’ve been holding onto my iPhone 11 for dear life, but it’s slowly becoming more and more unbearable.

The thing is constantly overheating. It’s at 67% battery capacity. I have to charge my phone at least thrice a day and can’t leave the house for long without considering charging options. Typing is so slow that the keyboard often misses letters or whole words while attempting to catch up with me. Matter of fact, everything is slow and laggy. Opening apps, looking up things, swiping on my homescreen, doomscrolling. 256 GB of storage was enough in the naive mind of 16 year old me, but I’ve grown to accept that I probably need at least double.

I was planning on keeping the 11 until Apple no longer supports it or until it finally gives up and dies in my hands, but that process is dragging out for much longer than I had anticipated, and I’m not sure I want to be committed to unnecessary suffering like that anymore. On top of that I don’t have a backup, so I’m at least a little scared to lose all the junk i have accumulated over the past 7 years.

What do you recommend I do? Will a battery swap fix most of the issues? What would a donor organ like that cost? Do I need to free up some storage? Or do I give in and buy a newer refurbed model? If so, which one? It would need to not be much bigger than the 11 (short fingers), and I’m not very fond of built in AI. I don’t need many special features; if it weren’t for the age related health problems, I’d be happy to keep my 11. But a good camera would be nice.

So I've been thinking about this for a while. I'm a teenager who occasionally films for videos so yeah i do value camera quality a lot.
i do value longevity though! i do need my devices to last longer and i might need stronger chips. I do think the 14 pro max may have the potential for this? The only reason i wanna downgrade is for the 120hz screen and a more premium feel, with slightly more advantages in terms of camera. And a slightly better battery.

Do not hate on me for this, lol. I just need honest opinions without someone yelling at my ears,., tysm!

Hey guys! I’m thinking about upgrading from my iPhone 14 Plus to a Pro model, but I’m having trouble deciding which one to get.
Before my 14 Plus, I had an iPhone 12 Pro, and I really missed having a Pro model. I’m currently deciding between the iPhone 17 Pro and the iPhone 18 Pro, both with 512GB of storage. The 17 Pro is currently around €400–€500 cheaper than the 18 Pro, which makes it a pretty tempting option.
I’m sure either phone would be a significant upgrade from my current 14 Plus, but I’m wondering whether the 18 Pro is worth spending that much extra on, or whether I’d be better off saving some money and going for the 17 Pro.
For those of you who own a 17 Pro or are considering the 18 Pro, what would you recommend? Is the newer model worth the extra €400–€500, or would you go for the 17 Pro? I would like to keep the new for about 3-4 years before buying a new one again.

Upgrading my iphone 14 and wondering which model to go for. I'm most interested in more storage (256gb), better battery power, and better camera. I'd get all of this on both but it looks like better battery power on the 17 and better cam on the 16pro?

I'll be buying it refurbished & it's 730euro for the 17 or 901euro for the 16pro (both at 256GB with premium battery power and condition). I use it for work and personal use and I'd want it to last me 2-3 years.

I got a few Magsafe accessories for my Iphone 18 Pro Max and thought I'd share what I went with.

PopSockets Low-Pro: I've tried a few phone grips before including the OhSnap Grip 5 but I still prefer the feel of having my fingers around a circular grip. The Low-Pro is really is really thin when folded-down, so it's barely feels like theres anything attached to the back of my phone. It also feels pretty stable and comfortable to hold when opened. The OhSnap has a more flexible design but I find the PopSockets more comfortable to grip. My only complaint is that the Low-Pro can be a little tricky to open at first.

LORZOR SlimMag: This wallet holds 4-5 cards, which doesn't add much bulk to the back of my phone. I also like the pop-up design because I can slide a card out from the side without the phone getting in the way. That's basically all I want from a MagSafe wallet.

Anker MagGo Power Bank 2 Pro: This is the 10,000mAh version with a built-in cooling fan. I've used UGREEN power banks before, including their liquid-cooled model. UGREEN is still worth it considering if you're on a budget, but I think Anker has the edge when it comes to build quality.

hi! so I don’t really take photos and videos, nor active in social media. probably running some games. i’m upgrading from an iphone 11 64gb and had just ran out of storage on its fifth year of use (just giving a picture of how i really don’t use phones for heavy tasks)

due to all reasons above i’m thinking about getting the 17e but I haven’t really seen great reviews about it. most would just suggest buying the base 17.

as for 16, i just thought of it because i can get the 512gb for a slightly less cheaper price than the base 17 256gb.

what do you guys think?

I currently own a GoPro 11 and I’m considering selling it to buy a used iPhone 15 Pro Max for about $400.

What I need the device for:

• Very good photos(obv the iphone will deliver)
• Stable 4K video

What i wont need:

Extra stabilization , i wont be framing my camera on a bike or wont go for scuba diving, tripod will be included, most i will have to record is a moving subject(e.g. me on sprints and jumps)

Main use case : I’ll mostly record yoga videos with the camera, tripod will be included, most shaky i will have to record is e.g. sprints, or jumps, so the camera stays still and I’m the one moving.

I’m leaning towards the iPhone because of the bigger sensor, better low-light performance and the plus i'll be able to take nice photos when im hiking etc, But I don’t want to jump the gun and regret losing the GoPro.

Is this a good move, or am I missing something the GoPro does better for this kind of content?

TLDR: Need a camera for yoga + sprint/jumps videos, no significant action-based POV, should i sell my gopro11 and buy a used 15promax?

My 12 pro has been going strong since release, however battery life is below 70% and my screen is getting dead pixels.

The 16 Pro Max is enticing, I like the titanium and the construction. I found a few refurbished ones for $650-700.

But the allure of a newer gen is nice with the 17 Pro Max which I’ve only been able to find as cheap as $950

Is the $250-300 more worth it for a newer gen? I keep my phones for a while so whatever I buy I’d like it to last at least 5 years. Am I splitting hairs? Should I just get the cheaper option?

Which iPhone should I purchase?
Had the iPhone 13 base for 3 years now and want to upgrade, if I get any of the phones below, I would not want to upgrade for another 4-5 years. I prefer the look of 15 and 16 pro max but I hear a lot of overheating issues and back glass easily breaking . Is the heat as bad as people say it is?
