Crime We broke the news about Adam Radogna on Oct 22nd and got a lot of pushback, but here we are, vindicated.

We broke this story on Oct. 22 and got plenty of pushback. Yet here we are!

The morning he was booked, we posted his docket showing 9 child exploitation counts plus possessing criminal tools. Later that day, those 9 items disappeared from the docket, and people started questioning whether there was anything to it. Now there's no question.

Today a Cuyahoga County grand jury indicted Adam Radogna, 37, owner of Adamo's Italian Restaurant in Brook Park, on those same 10 counts: 9 tied to child sexual abuse material, plus possessing criminal tools. According to the Prosecutor's Office, a joint federal and state investigation into a file-sharing network led the Ohio ICAC Task Force to his home on Oct. 22, where they found multiple files on his devices. The investigation is ongoing.

Radogna isn't some random guy in a photo line. The AP profiled him last month hosting the Parma Republicans' election watch party at his restaurant, where he said he's been to more than 80 Trump rallies. He's shown in the pic with MAGA Congressman Max Miller in front of a candidate Vivek Ramaswamy sign.

He’s also a Front Row Joe and Jan 6er.

He's presumed innocent until proven guilty in court. But this isn't a rumor anymore. It's a grand jury indictment.

Thank you to the Ohio Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force and the Cuyahoga County Prosecutor's Office for doing the work.

Events Come vote! Right now, 8:15 on Wednesday morning, the line is not very long!

Every vote counts, especially this year. Please come out!

I just got here and the parking lot was full enough to make me anxious, but the line inside isn't bad.

Edit to add: the lovely BOE employee who checked my ID said that it seems like they're having record turnout this year, even more than in presidential elections. So, 🤞🤞 that this time next week, the Goblin King is effectively a lame duck for the rest of his term. And that Dems, for once, have the courage of their convictions.

What a well oiled machine! Got there at 715 this morning and there was already a decent line of people waiting inside. As we waited a steady stream of people kept coming in. Once the doors opened at 730 it was smooth sailing. I was voted and back to my car by 750.

Plenty of free parking. People waiting were relaxed and happy. Workers were hustling but very pleasant. Just an all around great experience.

Discussion the gunshots are ridiculous

yeah i know, Cleveland is full of them, i grew up here and im used to it. i live near the Cleveland metropark zoo and on Saturday gunshots were heard from somewhere near the area, my step dad was outside and thankfully he wasnt hurt, but a bullet ended up going through our outside roof (its where our cars are underneath) and it hit his car. he has to get it repaired now and i know it wont be cheap. i know im basically shouting into the void with this but people who randomly shoot guns in the air at night are stupid, because someone is gonna get hurt! my step dad almost got hurt but thank goodness he didn't but its still so scary how the bullet was so close.

Discussion Thank you, Cleveland. I will always thank this city.

I'm just proud to be here. I had never felt what it was like to have pride in where I live until I moved here. People still tell me I'm crazy all the time when they ask me what brought me here & my response is that I just like it. I just like Cleveland.

And being here has changed me in the ways I'd hoped it would. I think I'm starting to understand the grit of the city. There were times I was so lonely and scared. Being a stranger has been nice because it allowed me to rewrite my own narrative. People only know me for what I share with them, not my past. But for a solid year or so, I felt SO ALONE. 7 hours away from anyone who could help me if I end up stranded or just in a scary situation. I even admitted myself to the psych ward last year when I reached a breaking point. I actually posted here asking for direction during that time. People were kind and helpful, such has been my experience with most things in Cleveland. Kind and helpful Clevelanders, who have overcome their own shit just like I was able to eventually. This city is full of people who shine through the adversity they've overcome. It's inspiring

I had never experienced a real winter, either. Not until I moved up here. I tell myself that the winters are the price I pay for living in a cool place. But dude when I was without a car my first winter here, oooo. I learned real quick how to bundle up. And when I did get transportation back, I learned real quick how to drive in the snow. Lol. You all were also helpful with my winter questions when I posted them a year or two ago as well.

Anyways, I overcame a lot since I moved here simply because I love Cleveland and refuse to leave. It'd have been so easy to pack it up & go back to what I knew. But I wanted to stay in a place that keeps pushing me to grow. A place where I've slowly transitioned from a stranger to a neighbor, a friend, a familiar face, a part of this community.

Coming from a dark red area to a blue city has also been really cool. I can always count on Cleveland to stand up for what's right. I thought it was really neat that Cle showed out for Obama. I also really like how people will post up with signs over the freeway bridges in any weather to make a statement. People in this city will protest. It's nice not being an outlier with my beliefs. I just feel more aligned in a place like this. So yea, I wanted to shout into the void to thank this city for the way it has changed me and my life. And thanks to everyone on this sub that's ever been friendly or helpful. It really meant a lot as I really needed that when I received it.

I hope one day I can contribute to this place the way it has contributed to my personal growth.

Discussion Appointments at Cleveland Clinic now require a financial counselor's approval?

I requested an appointment with maxillofacial surgeon because I have a case of sleep apnea where a surgery might help and they won't even see me without an appointment with financial counselor first? Is it a new norm at CC or just this specific speciality?

Lost/Found Please help! My dog has been lost in Shaker for 4 days!

Post image
158 Upvotes

Brock (aka Broccoli) is a 10 year old, appx 10 lb. male Chihuahua mix. Mostly black, grey muzzle and tan and white chest and belly. He's super skittish and will run if you try to approach him. Missing in the Chagrin Blvd area, the area heading toward the Van Aken district.

https://www.facebook.com/share/p/1EdUX5Jzxf/

https://pet911.org/shaker-heights/lost/dog/usl552911

On Friday 10/23, my husband and I moved from VA to our dream home in Shaker. That evening, one of my beloved pups escaped through a gap we missed in the fence. He's a rescue that we've had for years and he's still super skittish in new situations. He bolted when he got loose, then some well-meaning good Samaritans tried to help grab him, but that just made him run faster and further.

I'm at my wits end. We've walked the area for hours each day, signs are up (and about to run another batch out) and all local police, shelters and animal control have been notified. He's on local Facebook groups and Next Door.

The last time we saw him, he'd crossed Chagrin at Lynnfield. Saturday morning, walking around, several people spotted him around Lomond. No one has spotted him since. We did get a call this morning from someone who thought they saw him on Lomond headed toward Lee, but walking around for several hours and no one confirmed seeing him. The guy did say he thought it was a cat at first, so may not have been him.

I have no idea how far he's gone now and the longer this goes on, the more I'm struggling to remain hopeful. Aside from the hope this morning, no one has seen him since Saturday morning.

If any of you are near Shaker/Warrensville, please be on the lookout! My cintact infirmation is in the postings and I will drop everything to head out immediately for any sightings. Thank you!!

Question Affordable Dental Clinics?

• Upvotes

I’ve been having a lot of soreness on my molars (top and bottom) and struggle with bruxism. I went in to a clinic in Parma yesterday and overall, had a pretty terrible experience.

They barely looked at my teeth, took X-rays of half of my issues (and didn’t quote me the correct price for this), confirmed fillings were broken, gave me a referral to a physical therapist, and sent me home with no options for treatment or pain management.

I don’t currently have insurance but I will starting in January. I physically cannot wait that long for treatment. The pain is getting worse and I’m really scared about all of this right now.

I’ve heard of case westerns clinic, but I don’t really think I can make it through three or more appointments just to get treated. I have X-rays from my previous visit as well.

I’m reluctant to go back to the dental clinic that took my x rays. If anyone has any advice or recs for affordable dentists in the area, I would appreciate it

It hurts to eat at this point and I can visibly see some damage. I don’t qualify for most sliding fee scales or low cost clinics unfortunately, unless they are more lenient with their income requirements.

Discussion Is UH getting closer to a fix for their cybersecurity incident?

Any insider information would be highly appreciated! I realize even most employees probably don’t even know, but if someone in the know does, it would help. UH management seems to have a set of talking points that are quite vague and it’s been that way since Thursday.

Thanks to everyone at UH for all you do!

Discussion Has anyone else noticed a rise in people being increasingly aggressive recently? I swear it wasn’t this bad when I moved here.

I’m making this post because I’ve seen so many people go from zero to a hundred in an instant it seems. I live downtown and this is especially true regarding the homeless people downtown. Many of them I’ve come to know to be relatively harmless and I see everyday, others I avoid because they will follow me, beg, not accept no for an answer, etc.

Though, this doesn’t just have to do with homeless people, it’s regular interactions too. Some people are so quick to snap it’s insane. whether it’s drivers, people in restaurants, and more I’ve seen people get screamed at for basically nothing. I work 2 jobs, one of them downtown, and the amount of hostile people seems to be on the rise recently.

Maybe I’m the only one who has noticed this but it’s just like really quite unnerving and I’m not sure why it’s worse than say when i moved here in 2025.

Politics Shontel Brown (D) vs Mike Kirchner (R)

• Upvotes

I don't care about party affiliations, but I tend to vote Democrat. I'm filling out my mail-in ballot and I was conflicted between leaving the Congress Representative race empty or voting for Mike Kirchner (R). I will never vote for someone who takes AIPAC money like Brown. I want to vote Kirchner just to punish Brown, but the problem is idk Kirchner's stance on the matter and if he will start receiving AIPAC money if he wins. Ethically, I cannot vote for Shontel, but I also don't want to vote for a Republican who has no issue taking AIPAC money in the future. Should I just leave it empty?

Recommendations Adult Assisted Living

• Upvotes

this is a long shot.. but i’m hoping to reach out to people in the mental health field.

I’m looking into housing for adults with mental health disabilities - basically an assisted living home for seniors, but for adults with mental health/substance abuse issues.

As far as substance abuse goes, it’s not for a client that has been struggling, but for a client that has their sobriety under control, not at risk of using, but thrives in the aa/na community.

SOS!

Anyone out there that has any information on places that would be suitable in this case. side of cleveland/suburban areas.

I realize this is a very niche community, but there is a demand, and I’m just hoping to find out something I don’t know about options in the area.

Literally any feedback is welcome.

Help a Tourist Man suffering from mental health issues is VIOLENTLY arrested in his own home without a warrant or giving officers permission to enter -- is this legal? There was no judges order, no imminent threat, and He's now in jail for resisting arrest. This seems to violate the 4th amendment.

LOCATION: Ohio , Lake Township of Wood county The closest big city to this is Cleveland. I cannot find help in Toledo.

A mental health call was made on an individual(Ry) with a history of psychiatric hospitalization. The officer seemed to twist the incident from a mental health call into a domestic violence situation to justify an arrest. Wouldn't this violate the 4th amendment?

Around the 11 minute mark the officer lies to the individual and states that Ry's roommate asked him[the officer] to go inside and grab something for him (the roommate). This was untrue. It seemed like the officer did this because he knew he could not go inside in this specific scenario legally without permission. Ry does not grant him permission but the officer tries to grab Ry through the door. WHen Ry Retreats inside, the officer breaks in. Doesn't that violate the 4th amendment?

Ry was out on bail and posted the full bodycam video to youtube. Unfortunately that appears to have placed a bigger target on his back and now hes being aggressively prosecuted rather than receiving the mental health help he needs. Looking at his other videos it appears both his parents may have been diagnosed with bipolar or schizophrenia at some point, so hes very likely to be suffering from the same. He seems like a kind soul dealing with a lot of trauma and no one to help .

Ry is currently in jail for resisting arrest. he also does not appear to have family support or any resources to help
