Politics Early Voting is a disaster today
Can we please get some more early voting locations for the love of god. It is obscene to wait 2 hours to vote

Sports Before you throw them away after a Cavs game...
Should you accidentally take home your LED wristbands from a Cavaliers game there are 2 decently good AAA inside. Don't let them go to waste!

Politics Voted early today. The BoE claims faster and more efficient voting; meanwhile I waited longer than 2018, 2022 and 2024 COMBINED.
Got in line at 2:30 today, thinking I'd be out no later than 3:00. I didn't get my ballot until 3:50! There were more people in line today than my previous early voting experiences, but not enough to justify 80 minutes of waiting! And then they had the audacity to sent out a text as I was leaving about how much more efficient it is...I'm all for early voting, and am happy to see the turnout, but plan to be waiting a long time.
Edit: Voted by mail in 2020, for obvious reasons.

Recommendations I just wanted to say thanks for the help the other week with suggestions for my weekend in Cleveland.
I went up last weekend, stayed at the Holiday Inn Cleveland Clinic, checked out the Cleveland Museum of Art, the went to Pickwick and Frolic, had a great meal, saw a not so great comedian. Then went to the Browns game and watched them win with like, ZERO seconds left in the game, I thought the stadium was going to collapse like the walls of Jericho. The game was awesome though, even when the Browns were down, the energy was insane, it was like a rock concert, AND a football game at the same time. Awesome trip. I had forgotten about Pickwick until someone mentioned it in a comment. Next time I need a break from Columbus, I might just come up for a couple days again.

Photography I got to see the Double Skin get tugged through the river today
the Double Skin is a boat, I simply couldn’t help myself. It was really neat to get to watch it get moved through the corners with the tug boats.

Politics Brian's Shipping Off to DC: Brian Poindexter with Dropkick Murphys at Ohio AFL-CIO Rally
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Brian's shipping off to DC.
Friday night in Brook Park, Dropkick Murphys called Brian Poindexter For Congress up on stage at the Ohio AFL-CIO "For the People" rally, and UAW Local 1250 went wild. Union members from the UAW, IBEW and more packed the lot for one message: workers over billionaires.
Brian's a working-class guy running for Ohio's 7th District against Max Miller, the congressman whose ex-wife told detectives he held a gun to her head, and who both of Ohio's Republican senators told to resign.
One of them gets called on stage by Dropkick Murphys. The other gets small conference rooms and a camera guy filming the ceiling, while the crowd goes mild.
Medina, Wayne and Holmes counties, Strongsville, North Royalton, Brecksville, Broadview Heights: this is your district. You get to decide who represents you.
Trump isn't on the ballot in November, but Trumpism sure is. Early voting in Ohio is open now through November 1st. Vote early and in person if you can, and bring a friend or family member. The sooner the better, because anything can happen: illness, car trouble, a family emergency, or this administration pulling a fast one on DEMOCRACY. Bonus: campaigns can see who has already voted (not how). Once you vote, they take you off their call, text and door-knock lists, and your candidates can put that money and those volunteers toward people who haven't voted yet. Fewer texts for you, more help where it counts.

Lost/Found Lost stroller (Tremont)
Total longshot but I forgot to put my kids stroller in the car when I was loading him in on the corner of professor and Jefferson in Tremont. It was left in between the library and riffs. It’s a dark blue joolz stroller. Would be eternally grateful if Reddit reunited me and the lost stroller.

Discussion Any Update on the UH Website Situation?
It’s been two days without an update in the media by any of the news stations.
The official story is that they took their systems offline preemptively, but they haven’t confirmed or denied that it was a cyberattack.
I know there was a worldwide PHP exploit effecting
millions of websites, but it seems the Clinic and MetroHealth were unscathed. I am starting to wonder if ransomware may be involved here.
Does anyone have any inside information on what may be going on? At the very least, I expect all of our data has been breached, and this is probably a best case scenario.
My heart goes out to the staff who have to work under these conditions, and to patients and their loved ones.

Question Afraid of the dentist, in desperate need of one :(
I have the wonderful gift of having genetically and historically horrible teeth and a huge fear of the dentist. I lost my insurance during COVID and haven’t had a proper cleaning since 2021… needless to say my teeth are in rough shape. I’ve had insurance for some time now but have been too scared to go because I don’t want to get yelled at for letting things go this long but now of course I have let it gotten to the point where I am in pain. Does anyone have any good recommendations for a dentist that won’t make me feel guilty for my anxiety? I am crippled with anxiety about it. I have okay insurance I know I probably need a slew of work done but will have to settle on one thing at a time for now. Thank you in advance for any advice. This is embarrassing as fuck.

Events MicroWeddings
hi!! i am getting married in the spring and am starting to do some planning. please don't drag me for being late to do this it's going to be super small so i figured it wouldn't take too much planning but probs wrong
can anyone give a review or suggest a different venue based on the below? i dont want to use AI for any part of this and did read ~7 reddit posts already here but some were older. any thoughts would be appreciated :)
20-35 people estimated
would love to be able to get married and do reception all in the same space or have a private reception area after getting married at a gazebo or something intimate
no food sensitivities but love italian, asian, and american cuisines the best. i say american but really i mean i like steak lol
plus for anything that can deal with decor - we're simple and dont have any "dream wedding" ideas so if any wedding planners see this and want to have full creative freedom hi take my money but hopefully not tooooo much money
thank you cleveland !
