WoW: Forever WOW MIDNIGHT Is there a Chance they ever gonna create a Tabard like back in Wrath?
Hey Guys!
I was wondering is there a more loved PvP Tabard then the Ones made in "The Wrath of the Lichking" those Rated PvP Ones?
Im just wondering cause i hear alot of Streamers, Players including myself talking about how cool those Arena Tabards where, back then.. How certain Players missed the Chance or started to play Classic WoW cause mabey in the Future they would fuse Togheter Retail & Classic what exactly im speaking about its this Baby!!
We all wish and hope that the Game Developers will come up with another Chance to get those Old Elite Arena Sets or Challenge Mode Sets and on Top those Wrathfull Arena Tabards.. We all know it probably wont happen. But what could happen would be a new Designe wich takes Inspiration from former Glory Ones right? Mabey Change the Color a little bit a differente Red Tone what ever there are plenty Directions they could go. In Midnight Season 2 the Tabard is pretty lack luster if you ask me its just a White One with 2 Stripes and a Yellow Cyrcle in the Middle .
What i can say is if you wanna build and give back to the Community & bring back the Swag to WOW PVP, get the Player Base to grow! To build Incentives to participate and Que Rated PvP this is probably the right Way to go or atleast a Idea to think about..
Kind Regards
Ps: Don't bash me pls :D

Question Anyone else excited to try Witch in Talebound?
Read the abilities and think it sounds pretty neat. I know the Forever class survey had it in there so here’s to hoping it’s a tester for its implementation!

Question Coming back after 5 months away: what has changed, how long do I have to get 3k RIO in M+ and how is DK doing?
Hey everyone
Been away for a few months, but this stupid addiction still at the back of my head reminding me that I should come back... 🫠
Always, how is Retail doing this season? Do I have time to get 3k RIO? I'm nearly max ilvl from last Season, haven't touched this season yet.
How is FDK and UHK doing? I didn't enjoy what they've done with DKs last season, so was thinking to possibly switch main for this Season. Something melee with a single weapon, Arms, Ret or even Survival. Main focus on M+ btw
Saw something about the Labyrinths? What is that about?
Any big patches/changes planned for the near feature?
I know Forever is the main talking point right now, but Im still sticking to Retail.
Thank you

Discussion Does anyone have a list of disallowed names for Forever?
Trying to prep for tomorrow's early naming. I remember creating toons in the beta and a bunch of the stuff I wanted to use wasn't allowed, such as "the" with the two-name system is not allowed. Does anyone know of the other naming limitations? Don't want to waste time figuring it out tomorrow.

Humor / Meme Just had this weird thought about TLT and Xal'atath
So we lost bigtime in Midnight and then realize Xal'atath too powerful to be contain because she's born from a blade.
Then the goblins have this crazy idea (yes of course its always the goblin) that to defeat something born from a blade, you need to summon something else born from a BIGGER BLADE.
Now whats the BIGGEST, BADDEST blade currently exist in Azeroth? Yep, thats the one you are thinking about.
So long story short we now have 2 villains and Azeroth is fucked one way or another.
Cue another 3 xpac Saga where we all need to create the strongest Azeroth SHIELDS to combat the blades.
I swear im not high.

Discussion Let's Talk About Tagging
Salutations. I'm a small YouTuber who mostly makes videos about City of Heroes: Homecoming, but I really do love playing World of Warcraft in its various iterations, especially Modern, and I make videos about it from time to time. Lately, I've been making videos about my experiences with the WoW Forever beta. For the most part, those videos only got a thousand or two views, which is normal for me and perfectly fine. Some got even fewer. But I made one about a concern regarding tagging, and I hit a landmine...suddenly I had tens of thousands of views. I didn't know just how big an issue that was within the community or what a contentious topic it was. I do now!!
I'm not here to debate whether the tagging rules should change in Forever. As I mentioned in my video, I know the developers have said very clearly that they will never change them so I'm not here to beat that dead horse. But I was taken aback by how outspoken the community was, even though I had acknowledged that the rules would not change and offered some other suggestions...such as better layering so that places weren't so crowded.
That brings me to my main point. One comment I got often was that people felt Modern's shared tagging lacks any sort of friction or interaction. The argument goes that WoW Forever we want to keep the friction because friction is good. But I'm confused by these statements because, while shared tagging does reduce friction to some extent, it certainly doesn't eliminate it.
If an area is being heavily farmed for a particular quest or whatever else, and mobs are spawning, I still have to get over there and do some damage to receive credit. That is similar to Classic in a way. In Classic, of course, it's whoever tags the mob first, so I have to be faster - the friction is higher. But in Modern, I still have to get over there and do some damage, and I've lost that contest plenty of times. So I'm still experiencing friction. If somebody comes along and uses an area attack or three to take down all the mobs before I can get a hit in, which sometimes happens with a high-level player, there's still friction and I'm left waiting for a while. So I'm a little confused by that part.
Also, a lot of people say that with shared tagging, there is no interaction with other players in the world. They say you practically ignore other players completely, or that those players feel like NPCs. Again, I'm left scratching my head. I've had other players help me out more times than I can count, and I've helped other players.
Regardless of which version I'm playing, I'm a nice guy who tries to help people who look like they're in trouble. I've also been the recipient of that kind of help, but I feel like it happens a little more in Modern because there's an incentive to do so. In Classic, of course, if somebody comes along and helps you with a fight, they get nothing from the system - they're helping out of the goodness of their heart. In Modern, the rewards line up with the behavior we would normally like to see. If someone helps you and does some damage, they also get a drop. Its rarely huge, but if often means they didn't have to feel like their progress is slowed down by helping you out.
Ultimately, that person did interact with me when helping. While I mostly play alone, it's moments like that that make me glad I'm playing an MMO instead of a single-player RPG. I'm very thankful for those interactions. I just think it's cool that the rewards line up better with the activity we want to promote.
This is consistent with Blizzard's approach. They want people to group up and tackle tougher content together, so Elites give better loot than solo quests, dungeons give better loot than elite quests, and raids give better loot than dungeons. They gave the biggest rewards for tougher content and content that promotes people working together as a team, which is behavior the Warcraft team wants to see. So why is it so bad to receive a small reward for helping people out in the open world? Maybe people can help me understand that.
I do understand that, when it comes to Forever, a lot of people don't want shared tagging because they feel it's a step toward Modern. I understand and appreciate that, and again, I'm not advocating for changing Forever's tagging system at all - to be perfectly clear. I just want to understand why so many people claim there is no friction or interaction with shared tagging / modern, because that doesn't line up with my experiences at all.
What do you guys think?

Discussion As a neurodivergent player: Forever scares me
The thing I like about retail over classic is the fact that communication is not a requirement to complete or be good at anything in WoW. I can randomly join a raid, do my thing, and leave without a word. Sometimes I like to talk a lot and that’s also an option, but that’s the keyword, it’s an option. Yes, retail is a flawed game, it’s not perfect, but the one thing they’ve nailed is being neurodivergent/autistic friendly, it’s part of the reason I dropped classic after a few hours which kind of hurt because I love the lore and playing through it and overall gameplay, but soo much of it requires me to access a part of my brain I only access when I want to or for public events or at work. I’m aware of the counter argument, “you can just not play raids and dungeons, you can just quest and explore”, which is fine, you’re absolutely right and that would probably be a lot of fun. But do you buy games to only play half of it?
I get that blizzard is trying to cater to a mostly older audience who are either currently getting nostalgia baited by what’s going to be a shell of what they remember, or hopefully a better version of it, and new players intimidated by how much retail throws at you. I just kinda wish they’d look at the future more than the past, there’s so many cool things that could be done with a Wow 2 or even a reboot, but it won’t earn as much money as siphoning the pockets that already pay you. I don’t mean that as a derogatory statement or that I hope the game sucks, I genuinely think it’s gonna be great for who it’s for, but I’ve also seen this story play out quite a few times.
I wasn’t expecting this much hostility, I forgot how Wow is and why I don’t communicate here or in game in the first place, I just wanted to gauge what everyone was feeling, my mistake.

Question Possible Loot bug?
I've been camping around Zereth Mortis looking for the Plaguespew Mawrat (the one that drops off Rhuv, Gorger of Ruin. I'm well aware how the rare works and such). Been at it for weeks. However, today I ran into an odd situation.
On two occassions, once when Damaris spawned and once when Iska spawned (I haven't killed em yet for the day)...I was able to get the tag on the rare, the game showed I had the tag....but no loot dropped at all. Now I know this is normal for Rhuv, Rhuv ONLY drops the mount if he has anything, but this is not normal for Iska or Damaris..
I'm just wondering if this is a known glitch that anyone else has run into. Is it possible they died too fast and loot wasn't dropped as a result? Cuz if that's a thing then this mount hunt got significantly worse....

Question Can I come back to WoW Forever with this semi-dinky PC from FB Marketplace?
I logged out in 2011 after a short return stint in Mists of Pandaria, but Vanilla to WotLK were my main nostalgic times in WoW. The WoW Forever algorithm has found me and I am seriously tempted to return, but I no longer have any gaming PC, and my budget wouldn't allow me to buy anything over $300.
Found this PC on FB Marketplace- it meets the minimum specs according to the WoW Forever website, but I'm wondering from some of you current PC Gamers (I switched to console in ~2017) if this rig could run WoW for a levelling and raiding player?
I pray to Elune it could because I am feeling the call of Azeroth.

Discussion Putting Xal back in a blade
This is my official request that there is a legendary quest chain in TLT that ends with Xal’atath being imprisoned in, and empowering, a new legendary weapon. Pretty lengthy and difficult—like a Shadowmourne-type quest. I think it would be a fitting and kinda funny way to end her story (without necessary killing her). Also who doesn’t want a legendary weapon?
Y’all think it could work? Should it be priest only?
Discussion Thrown weapons in WoW
Thrown weapons have an odd history in World of Warcraft. Weapons in WoW all have two categories assigned to them. I’m using some temp names for the categories here.
The first is the Slot, one-hand, two-hand, main-hand, off-hand, ranged, and thrown.
The second is the Type, dagger, sword, axe, mace, mace, staff, wand, gun, crossbow, and thrown.
If you notice thrown weapons have both categories as thrown. Along with this they are the only weapon to use the “throw” ability. Ranged weapon all use “shoot”
In classic WoW this means that they cannot be used with Hunter ranged abilities. Even though Hunters can have them equipped.
These inconsistencies have caused a lot of changes to Thrown Weapons of the years.
From Wowhead
Although Thrown weapons never used ammo (which was removed in 4.0.1), there have been different attempts at making thrown weapons "limited" in a similar manner to how the usage of a gun was limited to the number of bullets the player had. Among the ways Throw-weapons have functioned are: Charges: Often, a purchased common-quality weapon would have 200 charges, losing one charge each time the player threw it. Durability: The weapon would use its own durability as "charges", losing one point of durability each time the player threw it. It could thus be "recharged" by repairing it. Invulnerability: Current thrown weapons have no durability, no charges, and do not suffer any kind of reduction or damage when being used.
Patch 4.0.1 (2010-10-12): Hunters no longer can equip Thrown items.
Patch 4.3.0 (2011-11-29): Now have durability.
Patch 5.0.4 (2012-08-28): Thrown items removed.
Personally, I'd like to see an attempt to bring them back into the game. Warcraft has a long history of thrown weapons in the lore. A start would be to group them with the other ranged weapons and combine the attack abilities. For the ammo issue, I’d go with the Durability version, from there we can test usability.
I must confess that I’ve been a Hunter player since launch and I’d really like to see a way for hunters to be able to actually use them. When this has been brought up before I tend to see Warrior and Rogues try to defend hunters not using them. Saying that they're meant for those classes. My reply to this… they got removed because they became irrelevant, I’d like to keep them around.

WoW: Forever Anyone worried about poor raid performance?
The beta capped at level 30, which is a poor benchmark for endgame. I don’t know if you can even call that a benchmark. It’s just incomplete data.
At this point all we have is a promise that all classes will be viable, which is really more of an interpretation, and im sorry but we’ve been burned many times by blizzard over the last 2 decades.
My gut says go warrior still…

Housing All WoW Lumber Farming Routes
I put together an overview of lumber farming routes for WoW housing, covering all the lumber types (incl. Thalassian & Shadowmoon Lumber)
A little disclaimer: These aren't necessarily the fastest or most optimized routes. I focused on routes that are easy to follow and don't require much thinking — perfect for some brain-afk farming while watching YouTube or listening to a podcast. 😂
With crafting costs having been reduced quite a bit, I figured it was a good time to put everything together in one place.
The rates are estimates, of course, and your results may vary depending on your setup and farming speed.
Hopefully, this saves someone else a bit of time!
Happy lumber farming! 🪓🌳

Discussion At long last...holy ranged spec.
from w.e. talebound ends up being.
https://www.wowhead.com/guide/talebound-overview-rewards
On one hand, I'll take w.e. I can get now aways (though we won't have to for long...)
And on the other this is kind of a slap in the face as its not in the retail game proper.
Cautious optimism.

Discussion Eye color for Dk
It seems Blizzard has forgotten about them; first it was the Demon Hunters, and now with the Paladin craze, it seems they've forgotten about the Death Knights.
Edit: I mean that we only have the blue color, and people have been asking for red and green for a long time.
